Great video Scott and I have had similar experiences with mine. I had a mated pair that the female died and the male became the female when I introduced a new clown. Also I have never had success with a anemone in the 90g. They choose to live in my frogspawn instead. I would never have a reef tank without a pair of clowns. All the best.
Lol....I have a pair of Wy Whites and they live in an LTA. If my hand is in the tank anywhere near the Nem, they will attack and fiercely defend their home! The lights are off when I go to work, but I always check both tanks before I leave. The clowns are always in bed in the LTA.
Very informative and impressive video. I had a pair of nemo tank raised which I replaced with thee clarki clown. But now they are causing massive sand shifting and fighting. I am going to replace them again with a pair of nemo as they more peaceful.
The clown fish look good Scott and even better in person. 😁 the video doesn’t do that clam justice as that thing is huge and the color is equally as nice. 👍
My naked ocellaris is also 12! I used to have a pair but one has died over the years. The weird thing about them is they only spawned once. I have always wondered why / how you ended up with more than 2. Maybe I should get my old girl a friend.
Hi Scott my clownfish laid eggs In my reef tank the pair is hosted on my hammer coral and near my hammer coral their is a piece of rock in which my clownfish laid eggs so my clownfish raise the eggs ?? And do I got success In it ??
I’m upgrading to a 125. I already have a breeding pair but I’m wondering if I can add some more now. I know Steve has quite a few in his 125 too. Hmmm.
I had three clownfish for about 4 years one stayed on its own you the two together they all played together in the daytime then one day day the female and the boy decided to kill the littlest one for no reason and the other two lay eggs every two weeks I've had them for over 5 years now one orange one black awesome fish but would not risk putting any other clown fishing after they killed the little one always wanted to try and breed the eggs but as you say it's just food at the moment I have three bubble tips they host all three of them lol interesting video
I really want a clownfish, but first I am making sure to do my research. Does the biting hurt? Also, do you have a video on how to take care of your coral? Thanks!
Just a question as I'm new to reefing and I'd just like be a little more educated, under the brim of the Clam at 5:05 left side of the screen, is that what Aptasia is? it looks cool as, idk why it's considered a pest it, I would love to see some alien looking life form thriving in my tank :P.
I would love to add a few different colors together in one tank. I currently have a pair of misbar in my 70 and a flurry in my 93 i would love to put them together and add some different ones. Any suggestions for success or should I keep the different clowns apart?
Great video but It's a hit or miss with clownfish. I have gotten clownfish from all over and I find most of them to be very finicky. I wouldn't suggest them as a great beginner fish because of the susceptibility to multiple parasites and fungi. And a beginner would not know how to treat those appropriately. I know I didn't
That was lucky, at least it wasn't the floor. I normally have to try to scoop it out with a net, which can be incredibly difficult due to the three pipes in my weir.
i've been thinking about getting clownfish and this video is really helpful!! thank you for sharing.
Really great overview! Love that you have so many clips from the past mixed in
Totally agree with you buddy on getting a lid as I've lost a black ice before due to not having a lid
thanks for keeping them big love

Clowns are the best! thanks Scott
another cool video thanks for taking the time to do them all
This clownfish video is very informative. I enjoyed it very much.

Great video! I love watching your clam host the clowns! 👍
Great great info Scott. Very informative vid

Great video on the clowns I was worried I needed an anneome for them to be happy
Great info...I have my clown for 5 years now, unfortunately one jumped last year
Thank you!

Heidi's Fish Tank fill it up
Does your clownfish raises the baby in your reef tank ???

Hey Scott have you ever thought of adding a lot of smaller fish, such as schools of chromis or goldies or a pair of firefish etc?
I have it's such a cool idea, but my tank is pretty full at this point.

It’s pretty cool stuff. The problem is it grows out of control and stings everything around it
Great video scott my 2 host my heater ... my husband only likes these clowns my son likes the lightning clowns but i dont have the money for them
Good news is that the lightning maroons keep coming down in price, so someday they should be very affordable.
What is the average price of clownfish?
Those reefs looks really hard to care for, do artificial ones work too?
Great video.. The 2 white spots on clowns were ich or just some marks?
She's got a couple of scrapes on her nothing to worry about.
had those marks sometimes, normally its either a sting from the euphylia they are hosting
I have 5 in a 45 gallon... they all get along
for how long?

Basement sump ?
great video. But where are your triggerfish?
They're there :)
Will you do a video on Achilles tangs please
I'd love to I just need to buy one :)
Please buy one and post it or please just do a vlog on it please there isn't enough info on these beautiful Tang's

Its true any fish can struggle.
Can you do one with a good and cheep lights for clowns and corals?
That's a shame it jumped out... They can be pretty jumpy, mine ends up in my weir sometimes
LOL I had one jump back there too.
That was lucky, at least it wasn't the floor. I normally have to try to scoop it out with a net, which can be incredibly difficult due to the three pipes in my weir.
Nemo!
Why don’t you hatch the eggs
So much work and so little time.
Guys I found nemo
I feel like your “air quoting” every other word you say with the way you talk.
Good info though.
