I have two clarkii clownfish and I love them. The first one was already 1.5-2 years old when I got him from my local fish store. About 6 months into my caretaking of him I got another smaller clarkii to be his mate. They were aggressive towards each other at first, but within a week had paired. They are now best friends. Very beautiful fish!
Tomatoes are extreamily aggressive...it was the only fish that survived my entire fish journey...it even survived my heater blowing up and boiling the tank.
I’ve had a pair of gold bar maroons for almost 15 years and they are the most beautiful clowns but the female is a real B. Fine with tangs and larger dwarf angels but dominates her spot of the tank
I had an ocellaris pair with five RBTA and never host. They’re in the tank for a long time with anemones: Traded them recently it to a clarkii pair, the clarkiis went straight to the anemone instantly even if they were captive bred.
I liked your overview I had all of the clown fish at one time or another in my system and you describe them perfectly. But I have to say the Solaris in the perks I just love their personalities wonder finding Nemo was so popular lol I’m doing a new system it’ll be mega and I think I would like a clutch of at least 20 that are all siblings and then I would like at least 40 to 50 extreme designer Solaris with a lot of bubble tip but the rest of the system is going to be state of the art artificial corals first time I’ve ever tried to collaborate both I was always all natural hard soft coral and everything in between I’m looking TV not be dealing with so much water care and maintenance in the artificial corals have become so lifelike even the soft move in the current. If you’re interested I might share some pics once the system is established
Couldn't agree more on the Maroon Clowns. Bought two maroons and one was beating the other one up really bad. Had to convince my LFS to take them back, i am a noobie and was not ready for their aggression.
I have 2 clowns mixed together Clark clown and skunk clown. Just happened that way. Size matter s is clowns mixed together. If u only have one clown in your tank it's a female. If u add one has to be smaller than she is. My Clark clown Is bright yellow and white. I have mix all types with her. Baby s clowns mixed different breeds. Thats just my clown I know I with her I can add any clowns mixed together as a babys she really doesn't care.
Would it be ok to have 3-4 percula in a 20 gallon? I have two already. One small and the other slightly bigger. Could I add one or two more that are juveniles?

Yeah I stopped breeding maroons because the fry always when they try to see how’s the dominant one they just all star killing anything and everything
I think I’m going to go for a pair of black storms for my 15g waterbox ! 👍🏻
We need more content! Awesome Clown videos and a genius UA-cam name.

2 more is good, one more is bad. They will pick on the odd one out
Man I thought there was only like 4 types of clowns.
I want to. Buy a pair
I have a piasco
wow
Man your prices are cheap. Maroons are $50+ for a normal at my local shop.
I’m just not a fan of “designer” clowns
all 🤡 🐠 will attack your hand when you put it in lol
