Hey loves!! thank you all so much for your feedback and support on this video. I just realized that I said tablespoon in the amount of SPF you need on your face and what I meant was teaspoon. So sorry totally my bad!!! you need another teaspoon worth for your neck and chest xo
I just started using Ilia products. Makes a whole world of difference in my look-so much softer. Other foundations are worthless as I am 75, and they settle in wrinkles badly. I have to wear Tatcha dewy skin cream under it as it can feel tight as you said. When in direct sunlight, I can see reflective deeper wrinkles. All around I like this line as I am older, but not one foot in the grave yet. 😂 Have taken care of my skin all my life. It pays off. Thanks. Have subscribed❤
Hi Elle. I had to let you know, the moment you applied this product to your face, I was SOLD! I sat through the rest of your video waiting for it to break down or fall apart, but your skin just went from real to AMAZING with this one product. I’m not kidding. I get your concern regarding the need for sunscreen, but I’ve honestly never been so blown away by a single product in my life! I wish I could run, not walk, to Sephora and buy it now! Online will have to do. Thank you! Much ❤️, Robyn
I wore this today with the beet shield from krave beauty underneath. I know its not technically a typical mineral sunscreen but it is my favorite "sunscreen"a Also, I have heard that the ilia spf is actually more like 48 but they have to label it at 40 per FDA regulation and that ilia has stated that 1/4 to 1/2 dropper would be appropriate for complete SPF coverage! I am really liking this product! I always love your insight and beautiful as always! Edited. Haha I just realized it auto corrected to beer sheild 🤣 that would be a whole different kind of product I think!
My Decadent Life do u find if BEET the Shield works well under liquid foundation? Does it ball up? How long do you wait between application of sunscreen and the ilia product?
Boblobblah4 no pilling ever! I try to give it at least 5 min but sometimes not even that much and still no issues. I've been using it about a month and it pains me to use a different sunscreen under my makeup now! For reference I have been wearing it with the kosas tinted face oil, the new bite beauty foundation, and the clove and hallow skin tint. Wore beautifully underneath the ilia spf.
My Decadent Life Yay! The beet shield is my next sunscreen. I have been using Neogen daylight protection sunscreen. It takes a while for it to settle in. Sometimes I have to set the sunscreen with a little amount of powder. Then, I use iT Cosmetic’s CC Cream or luminous silk foundation.
I never rely on my spf from a foundation. I’m shocked that this would be a claim knowing that you need so much more spf than a foundation could provide. Looks gorgeous on you though! I do use the murad gel sunscreen these days and I’ve really enjoyed it. You do look absolutely gorgeous! I’m tempted! Great review girlie 💕
Well as long as it has been properly tested (which is the case here) and quite high (spf 30 or more), i don't see why it would be wrong..? Ilia advises to use half the pipet for the face to obtain the correct sun protection.
I did my entire skincare routine ending with the Josie Maran tinted sunscreen and the Colorescience Total Eye. I primed with the Ilia Radiant Primer Serum followed by this new Serum Skin Tint. Everything looks skin like and lovely. I purchased this product as a ‘tinted serum’ with no illusions that it could ever replace my sunscreen or nurturing serums. You have taught me well beautiful lady.
Penelope Fongers I have samples in 2 colors of the skin tint. I’ve used it a few times and still did some minimal moisturizing first and a light layer of a Paulas Choice mineral (slightly tinted) spf. I allowed the skin prep some time to chill out before using the skin tint and it seemed to perform fine. I’m just not sure it’s a product I need.
Penelope Fongers I Know! Right? About Elle’s expertise & “Illusions.” & Penelope..I have been in The Biz for 38 yrs..Seen lots of gurus & products come & go..Thank you for sharing your product & application tips, Beautiful Lady🕊..
I know some people that basically refuse to do a skincare routine and this would be good for someone like that. Better than nothing... but I like all my skin care 😊
EL, You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, I say hell to the NO !!! We still need to apply sunscreen b4 this beautiful product..even if we apply and wait half an hour or so at home, its simply not enough protection, most people will use half a dropper for that light coverage and are lucky to get even 50 % of the Sunscreens protection at 20% Thank u for reminding viewers of the NECESSARY amount of product we truly need..yup that tablespoon works and it ain't coming in this application of the Ilia tint, but we can do our sunscreen protection 1ST, and then enjoy this lovely product.. I am a retired Esthetics instructor.. Old butI still have my knowledge, skills and good sense 😆
If I saw this before I saw your other You Tube posts and started a skin care regiment and am really seeing a difference in my 72 year old skin I might have tried it. Will stick with my skin care now and forever. I have seen the light!!!
Nice video Elle!! I think the foundation looks good on you, but I wonder how it would look on the average person who doesn't have gorgeous skin, i.e. hydrated, exfoliated etc. Would it settle in those "lines?" I will try to get a sample. It looks like a great quick go to especially for summer. 🌻🌻
I have gravitated from all the steps And foundation to a tinted sunscreen, which is my take of this product. My derm agrees with my reps. I also use transparent bare mineralveil which is additional 25spf. Or my isdin spf powder. Plenty of coverage. On 57 year old skin, looks fresh, radiant with no lines or settling.
The MyChelle skin tint is my favorite weightless spf. It has SPF 50, oil free and very watery. Gotta work quickly because it sets very fast. My oily skin loves it. This Ilia skintint reminds me of a dewy version of the MyChelle. I need to get a sample from Sephora and compare side by side. 💕
I swear by the MyChelle too! Lately my skin has been a little dry, and the clay is making dry patches stand out. I'm wondering if this would be better for the winter
I do my normal skincare (vitamin c, niacinamide, moisturizer) and SPF under this and it works well for me. I do set it with my well people loose powder. I love how my skin looks. It has lasted me through a 15 hour day when I had to travel. I personally would not forgo my skincare or SPF. Love my Elta MD Clear or Ren sunscreen. I really do love this tinted serum foundation for my needs.
You do the best and honest reviews 🤩 It’s what I want to see everytime, skincare underneath, application and weartest over hours. Thank you very much 🤗
I think it is great that you pointed out that even if a base make up item has spf 30 or higher you still need to use sunscreen before. Also if you don’t want to over nourish it you can just wait for the sunscreen to settle down into your skin and after that putting on the serum. But never without sunscreen.
I purchased this and I’m using it as a tinted moisturizer over my skincare and Elta sunblock. I don’t walk past a window without sunscreen( thanks to you😉)
thanks Elle, I'm49 and my skin is in a really good place. I'm literally obsessed with skincare. I was seriously considering buying this product and your review has decided me : sheer, glowy, lightweight and cruelty free are exactly what I love. But I would never skip my skincare for this kind of product, I think its great that it (may) have skincare benefits, but that will never replace a dedicated routine. as for the SPF, Wayne Goss has a great video explaining why SPF in foundation is never ever going to be enough for a whole face. have a great day and thanks for the review, I trust your opinion as always.
From what I understand 2-5% niacinamide is where the studies and results are so that doesnt concern me, but the sunscreen certainly does. I think it would be super challenging to get the coverage needed.
I have seen a couple other reviews of this, I’m glad you are giving your opinion on it too. They did not skip skin care… They just said it was more like a skin tint with SPF with skin care benefits. Don’t know if that helps or not but I have not seen anyone else skip skin care with this and it seem to work great still
You speak the truth! I just bought the skin tint. I haven’t worn it yet but girl, I’ve got to have my skincare underneath anything! Plus any aesthetician knows spf expires after 2 hours on your face. Plus yes! Vitamin C! I use Fresh’s spray with vitamin c, b and e in it over my skincare before applying any foundation.
Hey there! The tightness is probably from the niacin amide! I can't use anything with that ingredient. For me, it causes dryness and peeling. It looked great on you thought!
I'm actually trying this today for my own video. I didn't even read the claims - which is a good thing! Did my regular, multi-step program. I always let my SPF set for 30 min before foundation and there were no issues with balling or pilling. Today for sunscreen I used Earth's Recipe Waterful Sun Gel which sinks into the skin and never misbehaves with foundations - and I mixed it with a little bit of Purito Centella sunscreen. Seriously, I just finished my make-up and saw your video - so too soon to know what the wear is, but the sunscreens played nicely. As for mineral sunscreens - you might want to try Make:Prem. They have a milky mineral. I find all mineral sunscreens to be drying and use this either as a mixer or on my chest - but if you like mineral SS this might hit the spot for you!
I’m excited any time beneficial ingredients are included in a base makeup. Personally I use vitamin C as well as my Paula’s Choice super light SPF under this tinted moisturizer. 😊
I absolutely love this skin tint. I have dry skin and typically apply it over the cerave pm moisturizing lotion (contains niacinamide). I can also get away with wearing it without anything underneath which terrified me initially but doesn't actually make a huge difference. I know the spf kicks butt because the first time I wore it out all afternoon and for a run (usually I just wear spf for running idk what happened) I didn't blend it into my hairline properly and got a little halo of red while the rest of my face remained white. As many others have stated, I also enjoy the Mychelle skin tint, however it's far too dark for my skin. I mix a few drops of that with the ilia in ST1 when I'm ever so slightly tanner in the summer. Wish they'd expand their shades.
Hi Elle...I totally agree...a sunscreen would be necessary! A lightweight, liquid sunscreen I like is the Skinceutical PHYSICAL FUSION UV DEFENSE SPF 50 A tinted sunscreen fluid with 100% mineral filters provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, while promoting natural radiance and a more even skin tone...it also comes without a tint!
I loved loved loved this on my skin!!! 🙌🙌. I wanted to hate it because of the price but my skin looks so much better with this more than any other foundation for mature skin! ❤️
Where sunscreen under it too! No rules! Do what you need! Build it up a bit in areas! It works awesome for for me!! I don’t set it!!! Love the glow! 😊😊😊
Have you ever tried Colorescience Flex spf 50? I really want these drops for light coverage. And to choose a proper shade, not just fair or medium. Do you still love this product?
A lot of products for sensitive skin don’t use VIT C just because it is highly acidic and might cause a reaction that may be why there’s no C in it. Also Nyacinamide doesn’t not work well with Vit C just because that’s double acidity and may strip the skin of its natural moisture and over exfoliate
I just picked this up today. I actually didn’t notice any marketing regarding replacing skincare with it but, even if I had, I’d still stick to my skincare, which I love. I LOVE that this is silicone & fragrance free both of which were causing my rosacea to flare up so bad. It’s only day 1 of using this tint but so far I’m really impressed. I love the dewy finish and just one later covers the pink in my cheeks / nose area surprisingly well.
It looks really pretty on you. I know I would need a moisturizer under any foundation, and your feeling that tightness possibly indicates you also prefer more moisture. I don't think a foundation can be made moisturizing enough to soak into the skin really moisturize nicely, AND sit on top of the skin as an effective foundation at the same time. For me it's similar to shampoo and conditioner in one. No matter what, I'll always need a separate conditioner. I'm sure they did their best with it and maybe it's suitable for certain skin types.
Try Peter Thomas Roth Mineral sunscreen. It's the only mineral sunscreen I purchase repeatedly. I'm so glad you reviewed this foundation because I've been wanting to try it.
I purchased this from Sephora. I like it, but I noticed with me after a few hours it really dries down and doesn’t look good on me in the afternoon. It can’t compare to the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Foundation. I’m going to keep it and plan to mix it in with the It Cosmetics. 💋
Hi Elle 😘 There is no doubt this foundation looked beautiful on you . I really liked the glow that came through & the skin like look. However, I feel worried about getting enough sun protection. I also don't think there is enough skin care, for me personally. Even if we are not the targeted demographic, IMO the Sunscreen is still a problem as everyone should be wearing a sunscreen year round. Thank you as always for introducing us to new brands & trying the latest for us💕💕😘
I experienced that dry feeling on the same area as well, although it seems to subside with continued use. I use my regular skincare under as well, but found you have to go really light on any facial oils or else it really thins out the application. I use Colorscience’s mineral SPF over this and it works well for me.
For another sunscreen "serum" I highly recommend the COOLA Sunsilk Drops. Feels amazing and leaves a lovely finish that is perfect as a base to layer over. Thanks for this review! You look amazing and your skin is flawless!
Hi Elle! I just bought this last night and will wear it Saturday for the first time. I will absolutely wear skincare and my Josie Maran spf 47 (untinted one) under it. I can’t imagine not wearing light skincare and spf under this. I hope I really like it for those fast get ready days to run around. Hoping it will be great for summer too! Thanks for your review!! Xoxox
I have been using this sunscreen for decades, since it first came the the U.S., from France. La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra Light Face Sunscreen Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 60, Non-Greasy, Lightweight, Non-Comedogenic 1.75 fl.oz. $29.99. It has done a great job! When I moved to Florida, I had difficulty keeping up with the brand, and have suffered for it. I’m going back to it, again. Thank you for all the knowledge you share, love your videos!
I saw this foundation in Sephora last week and I really wanted to get it but for the price I wasn't sure. I can not go without my daily skincare routine. I just turned 48 a few months ago and I just started using DRMTLGY Broad Spectrum SPF 45. It has 12% Zinc Oxide & 7.50% Octinoxate so its not a 100% physical sunscreen. It's really hard for to find a sunscreen that I can say I really like, but I really fallen for DRMTLGY sunscreen. Its not watery and its definitely not thick, it feel like a cream serum going on. Love your review on ILIA.
Try versed sunscreen. It's really good! Mineral based, 12% zinc, sinks into the skin, doesn't feel heavy, doesn't really have a smell, it's affordable, clean, and it blends well.
i have tried this for the past two days. i have used my usual skincare and sunscreen (ulta md) before applying have had not issues. it looks lovely and feels like nothing on the skin. and you're right - i makes my routine in the morning so much quicker.
Ok, so I am so happy I stumbled upon your channel. First and foremost - YOUR SKIN IS EVERYTHING!!! SOOOOOO beautiful and clear before any product touches your face! After watching reviews of this product from UA-camrs who were 18 years younger than me, I was so grateful that you touched on whether or not this product is targeted to our demographic. I wondered the same before finding your review! I cannot thank you enough for your input on the product. Your skin is gorgeous and this product enhanced your glow! I really still want to try this but need to color match in person rather than attempt to guess with an online purchase. Question - If you do use sunscreen and vitamin C with this, what is the layering order? Vitamin C, physical sunscreen, then Ilia tint? Thanks again, beautiful!
Wayne Goss did a really good video about relying on foundation for spf etc., It's funny but it's not if that makes sense...he literally shows you what amount your have to use and what that would look like....I just looked at this foundation last night.... It looks gorgeous on you! But I'm with you on the no skincare part...
Sunscreen recommended roche posay. #1 . I go deep sea fishing and I need top notch sunscreen on my face and I go with roche posay and my skin doesn't get red one bit after 12 hours out to sea. Their body spf is top notch as well . But I've Never been able to claim that I received zero burn on my face after using roche posay at sea for an 8-12 hour deep sea fishing trip. Now that's tested and true. I've used many but this is me and my husband's sunscreen go to. We fish for 8 days straight and it's really important to protect the skin out at sea when the sun is bombarding from above and below off the water.
I think that Ilia is the best foundation out there. I work with a large luxury retailer and their foundation is second to none. I've tried them all but I'm speaking of their original one. I will try this one, simply because I'm a huge fan of the line. When you read the ingredients in other foundations compared to Ilia, you wouldn't purchase them anymore,
The La Roche Posay Anthelios Mineral sunscreen is amazing and has an SPF of 50! I like to wear the tinted one with a bit of colorscience powder sunscreen throughout the day to top up on my SPF
I always add spf and primer before and or after my makeup. I didn't even know they don't require otherwise. I'm 46 and I've been using spf all my life . I just purchased this for my aging skin as a light foundation and makeup post gym before going to school. I'm back in college. I use moisturizers serums , spf prior to this foundation. If it has extra spf , good for me . But I didn't buy it because I can go lax and lazy on my aging skin care. I needed something I can put in my face quick and easy in my car once I got to school. And this does the job. Keeps my skin hydrated while I go to classes and so my face isn't red from the gym. I'm reasonable for the care of my skin and I think most people feel that way as well. This makeup line I think gets the attention of individuals who do want to take good care of their skin and will not just rely on the brand for providing it.
By the way, I just tried this but not as a foundation, I actually ended up using it as a primer underneath a sample of Giorgio Armani‘s luminous silk foundation and it looks pretty darn good. I’m surprised I just have to see how it wears. I will try it alone as a foundation tomorrow.
Have to use my niacinamide because I'm addicted to it. Would also want additional sunscreen. I also need longer wearing, don't want to spend money then feel cheated when foundation doesn't last. I'm probably not their demographic either. Thanks for sharing with us.
First of all, I was blown away and thinking about it I feel like a dunce for not thinking for myself. We have all been so caught up in following rules and being obsessed with the order in which to use things that I was surprised (and delighted) to see you cocktail the TT Vit C and snail essence! I layer them but thinking about it, would prefer combining those consistencies. I suppose I should get the TT mist but have the essence you used. So thank you for that little tip! Secondly, the skin tint is beautiful on you but then everything is! However, nope nope nope...., spf is always going on! I sometimes like to use the It CC foundation but treat it/others as though it does not have spf. And lastly, I can’t imagine not prepping my older skin, no matter what! Thanks for another eye opener❣️❣️❣️
Videos are very informative & not sugar coated 🙌🏼 I just got ilia for a light dew but it creases under eyes pretty bad and my skin started to look a little dry from the Niacinamide (sensitive to it)
Thanks for telling it like it is Elle! Doesn't sound like skincare to me and definitely not comfortable with that being your only SPF and antioxidants.
I love Ilia so much, I switched my foundations, powder, bronzer, eye primer, concealer and mascara all to Ilia but just because they state you don't need to use skincare because the tint is already build with skincare ... ABSOLUTELY NOT! Especially someone who takes her skincare very very serious. I still use my whole skincare routine but use a lighter moisturizer than my rich moisturizer then apply the tint with a dry Real Techniques sponge and surprisingly I feel like i get light to medium coverage with the sponge because I despise applying makeup with my fingers. I bought the shade Tulum I wish they had a lighter yellow tone shade for winter when I'm not in the mood for much coverage that I get from the True Serum foundation. I personally love this product a lot as far as the sun screen I use the supergoop defense refresh on top. I typically avoid sun as being a spooky creature of night at the end of the day it looks great.
Hi! I actually switched to the new Ilia Super Serum about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I love the feel and I love the wear! I also started wearing the Kosas concealer as well. I have several mineral tinted SPFs that I love. Another great product is the Colorscience shield that is a tinted spf 50-another amazing product!
I have this serum and I love it but I do also wear all of my usual skin care and sunscreen underneath. It still looks good and plays nice with all of my skincare unlike the Kosas oil; which can pill if you wear too much underneath.
Try Alba sensitive mineral sunscreen . Its fragrance free with very little white cast that disappears in minutes. Moisturizing and leaves the skin beautiful by the end of the day. I love it!
I really don't understand all the negative focus on skipping skincare..I haven't seen any of that marketing I guess and have been using this for a couple of weeks now with all of my regular skincare for the most part. This is so moist (sorry ladies lol) of a product that I haven't felt need for heavy lotions or creams with it, and I do notice a beautiful plumping effect to my skin when using it, which leads me to believe the HA is doing its thing. What I am doing right now is using it as an spf, with the Colorscience 3 in 1 under the eye and love it. I have also gone in later with other higher coverage base products . Anyway, I just wanted to give my thumbs up to the clean formulation, the mineral spf, and what I think is a really unique finish on the skin!
You have such beautiful skin, I like that foundation. I would also use one of my SPF that is the same liquid texture and blend the 2 together. I'm going to try this foundation.
I was very, VERY surprised about the claims you’ve mentioned. There is no way that you can apply enough of this product to get the appropriate amount of SPF!! I’ve worked too hard to get my skin in a better place, I’m not changing my game. I’m still having to use prescription products to lighten hyperpigmentation because I didn’t wear SPF enough when I was younger. I’ve seen multiple reviews and this product is beautiful but I’d definitely still follow my own routine before applying this. As always, your review is AMAZING! I so respect you reviews and opinions.
Watery, thin, no white cast sunscreen I use is Day Light Protection Sunscreen SPF50/PA+++ by Neogen Dermatology. This is a high end Korean product. They use lots of natural ingredients.
So glad I found your review of this! I’m just about to buy it! I definitely would wear an spf underneath especially because I use tret at night! If I wear an spf in my skincare then an spf foundation on top does one cancel the other out? Love your videos btw! Xx
I personally would not rely on the foundation alone for SPF. I thought it look very nice at first but after 2 hours not has much. Thank you for this review.
LOOOVE your reviews. I really enjoy them so much. I would like so much to try this product but I am fron Spain and we don't have Kosas here. And I am 50 already and my skin is so dry, you can't imagine. I can't ever ever skip my routine and my spf 50 at least. But, anyway I love to see your videos and your skin without a single wrinkle. Lucky lady your are!!!
Gah your skin is so gorgeous! I wouldn’t feel comfortable not having the proper sunscreen. As you know I was a child of the 70’s and tanned myself all the time. I can’t roll back time but I can be diligent now. I’ll pass on this. As always you look stunning my friend. 😍❤️😘
Love the lip gross, my favorite sunscreen is supergoop unseen sunscreen spf 40. I didn't know you had to sunscreen your ears. Thank you learn something new today. You had such beautiful skin Elle, you make any foundation look good.
Okay so.. thanks so much to you I am finally back on track with my SPF routine. Not willing to take a chance with loosing any of my sun screen protection. It does look amazing on you. I am loving the idea of trying this After applying SPF as a “running late” alternative! Thanks Again!!
Thank you so much for this vid, it actually made me realize I need to educate myself about the sunscreen usage on daily bases. In winter time I'm usually using a face cream with nutrient and regenerative effects and for summer time I usually change to a ligter hydratant one or a fluid with SPF, but I never add additonal sunscreen under my foundation. I like your reviews and this foundation looks fab on you, with an additon to your usual skincare under it, you can probably use it whenever you don't need a longwear look, running errands, dinner with freinds etc.
Elle & (Squad)..needed to be “Said” In the most “Classy, Informative & Adorable” way... I may test Purito Centella Green Level (SPF) underneath..But, I must say, It is Noticeable if I go Even 2 days w/o my AM skincare..By “Testing.” If no play well with(?)..”Im Nervous!”🦉
I just bought that sunscreen the other day and have yet to try it. I am using the Drunk Elephant Umbre Tint which I love as an SPF. I want to wait until my next day off of work before I use it, that way I can take extra time to experiment and make sure I find the best way to use that with my makeup. Good luck, hope it works well for you!!
LOVE this tint! I do not set it, I do not need to. Love the sense of a protective barrier between me and the sun/dryness. I put my morning Kesaradi Oil underneath, and I NEVER think I have enough SPF, tbh, so I kind of avoid the sun in general. Two days in, I find that my skin looks great at the end of the day, and maybe better than before I started using this. Re my demographic, I am 65, so I have "mature skin"? lol If I were going to be out in the sun a LOT, I'd probably do a layer of LaRoche-Posay tinted sunblock under it, and even then, I'd hit my nose with some Supergoop SPF powder occasionally. Love this stuff, though. It's beautiful.
I was at Sephora this afternoon and asked about using this product with an additional sunscreen. They suggested using my Vitamin C and other serums, then my sunscreen and then the Ilia serum. They also said I could use the Ilia serum under another tint, such as Hourglass if I wanted a bit more coverage. My go to sunscreen is Elta M.D., SPF 41, lighted tinted. It works great under a variety of my foundations and tints.
Hey loves!! thank you all so much for your feedback and support on this video. I just realized that I said tablespoon in the amount of SPF you need on your face and what I meant was teaspoon. So sorry totally my bad!!! you need another teaspoon worth for your neck and chest xo
Elle Leary Artistry 🙃😀
Marianne Harms 🤣🤣 that would be a lot for your face
Elle Leary Artistry Even a full teaspoon seems like a lot for this product!!
kind of have to agree but I am trying it again tomorrow
Thank you for clarifying😉💃🐰🍓❤👌

I know some people that basically refuse to do a skincare routine and this would be good for someone like that. Better than nothing... but I like all my skin care 😊
totally agree and great point!
EL,
You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, I say hell to the NO !!! We still need to apply sunscreen b4 this beautiful product..even if we apply and wait half an hour or so at home, its simply not enough protection, most people will use half a dropper for that light coverage and are lucky to get even 50 % of the Sunscreens protection at 20%
Thank u for reminding viewers of the NECESSARY amount of product we truly need..yup that tablespoon works and it ain't coming in this application of the Ilia tint, but we can do our sunscreen protection 1ST, and then enjoy this lovely product..
Thanks!
Doris What a great idea the mineral veil is!! Thanks so much.
Thank you very much 🤗
thank you so much!
I love this stuff. Have repurchased 4 times!
Oily skin with sensitive skin barrier here! 😁
Colorscience Sunforgettable Total Face Shield SPF 50 works well underneath!
Thanks for the tip!
I don’t walk past a window without sunscreen( thanks to you😉)
SMART, SMART GIRL BRAVO,AND ELTA SUNSCREEN UNDER THIS IS GENIOUS !!!!
thanks Elle, I'm49 and my skin is in a really good place.
Don’t know if that helps or not but I have not seen anyone else skip skin care with this and it seem to work great still
It looks beautiful, but I wouldn’t sacrifice my skin for this product.
I definitely need my skincare and spf! 👍🏻
Yes, I wear sunscreen underneath this! Agreed with you
You speak the truth!
I find all mineral sunscreens to be drying and use this either as a mixer or on my chest - but if you like mineral SS this might hit the spot for you!
thanks love!!
A lightweight, liquid sunscreen I like is the Skinceutical PHYSICAL FUSION UV DEFENSE SPF 50
A tinted sunscreen fluid with 100% mineral filters provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, while promoting natural radiance and a more even skin tone...it also comes without a tint!
My apology, Skinceuticales is not cruelty free😔
I loved loved loved this on my skin!!! 🙌🙌. I wanted to hate it because of the price but my skin looks so much better with this more than any other foundation for mature skin! ❤️
Where sunscreen under it too! No rules! Do what you need! Build it up a bit in areas! It works awesome for for me!! I don’t set it!!! Love the glow! 😊😊😊
Have you ever tried Colorescience Flex spf 50?
I really want these drops for light coverage. And to choose a proper shade, not just fair or medium.
Do you still love this product?
100% agree. SPF is the first defense against signs of aging. Never rely on SFP in foundation.
I live in a dry climate, so HA is usually covered by an occlusive moisturizer. I don’t know about no skincare with HA on top of the skin for me.
Since Elle has moved to a dry climate, maybe that’s why her skin felt tight after a couple of hours. 😱
One of the most beautiful foundations I have seen on you!😘
thanks love!
That horrible dry pulling feeling is how I feel with the Kosas tinted oil!
Unfortunately he isn't cruelty free xo
Kelly Reed thank you love
I use the Hada Labo sunscreen. I really like it as it's light weight and sinks in well xx
For another sunscreen "serum" I highly recommend the COOLA Sunsilk Drops. Feels amazing and leaves a lovely finish that is perfect as a base to layer over. Thanks for this review! You look amazing and your skin is flawless!
you have BEAUTIFUL skin!!
Skin cueticals sunscreen is very runny and sinks into skin. Your makeup looks great. Love the lipgloss
Xoxox
I have been using this sunscreen for decades, since it first came the the U.S., from
France.
Mineral based, 12% zinc, sinks into the skin, doesn't feel heavy, doesn't really have a smell, it's affordable, clean, and it blends well.
i have tried this for the past two days. i have used my usual skincare and sunscreen (ulta md) before applying have had not issues. it looks lovely and feels like nothing on the skin. and you're right - i makes my routine in the morning so much quicker.
barbara sottile which ulta md do you use ? I have the sport and elements. I like them both. I didn’t care for the replenish tho.
Full Spectrum 360 Degree Sun Silk Drops Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 by COOLA. Same liquidity texture so you blend both together.
I just purchased this but have put Tatcha SPF under and the Silk Canvas primer and am happy with it and I am in the sun all day training horses
Paula’s Choice sunscreen has been fantastic for me.
I personally like no vitamin C in my skincare because it breaks me out.
Thank you beautiful Elle 💕
I have been super curious about this product and am so glad you are reviewing it
First of all, I was blown away and thinking about it I feel like a dunce for not thinking for myself.
Your skin looks so pretty Elle!! I’m tempted now to order it from Sephora🤔, but it will not be replacing my spf.
I definitely use my spf, I always feel that foundations with spf is just bonus protection.
What’s the difference between the truth treatment vitamin c balm and the Truth treatment vitamin c serum ?? Have u tried both? Which do u prefer ??
yes and love both!! ok the balm is more of a sleeping mask, balm like, the Vit c is like a traditional serum much more suitable for day
You are absolutely beautiful without make up
I'm sorry, but who puts product in the palms of their hands? That sounds like insanity to me.
I think you need to wear a little vit c in the AM so I wouldn't suggest skipping it xo
You have such beautiful skin, I like that foundation. I would also use one of my SPF that is the same liquid texture and blend the 2 together. I'm going to try this foundation.
This tint looks so beautiful. I'll inshaAllah buy this foundation
I so respect you reviews and opinions.
yes!!!
Xx
Also did anyone recommend and spf that’s like a serum?
Purity comfy water sunscreen! It is SPF 50, zinc oxide, and light weight! This is my favorite sunscreen to use for reapplications throughout the day!
Supergoop glow! Been wanting to try that sunscreen! It’s pretty too!
I don’t care what any foundation says as far as their SPF level, I ALWAYS use my Colorscience SPF under every foundation I use.
Do you ever use the ColorScience powder? I wonder if it would make my (dry) skin look dry.
I do love it!
I personally would not rely on the foundation alone for SPF. I thought it look very nice at first but after 2 hours not has much. Thank you for this review.
same!
I need that serum let's see what Elle thinks 💗
LOOOVE your reviews. I really enjoy them so much. I would like so much to try this product but I am fron Spain and we don't have Kosas here. And I am 50 already and my skin is so dry, you can't imagine. I can't ever ever skip my routine and my spf 50 at least. But, anyway I love to see your videos and your skin without a single wrinkle. Lucky lady your are!!!
thank you love!
My Dr says you don’t trust the SPF in foundation so I always apply that before foundation. Thanks 😊
Sue Cone yes!!!!
Gah your skin is so gorgeous! I wouldn’t feel comfortable not having the proper sunscreen. As you know I was a child of the 70’s and tanned myself all the time. I can’t roll back time but I can be diligent now. I’ll pass on this. As always you look stunning my friend. 😍❤️😘
karen Mazzacone 😘😘😘😘😘
Have you done a video on Vitamin C serums? I've tried several and they irritate my skin - even 10% vity c
yes about 2 months ago
Love the lip gross, my favorite sunscreen is supergoop unseen sunscreen spf 40. I didn't know you had to sunscreen your ears. Thank you learn something new today. You had such beautiful skin Elle, you make any foundation look good.
Okay so.. thanks so much to you I am finally back on track with my SPF routine. Not willing to take a chance with loosing any of my sun screen protection. It does look amazing on you. I am loving the idea of trying this After applying SPF as a “running late” alternative! Thanks Again!!
I love the Epionce tinted spf. It soaks in so nicely with a slight pink tint.
I really love Murad’s City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50. Very thin, plays nicely with all my foundations.
Is it a mineral sunscreen?
JP M Yes, I believe so. Titanium dioxide 2.7%, zinc oxide 10%.
Elle this looks beautiful on your skin. I like it better on you than the Vapour foundation. 💞
It works great under a variety of my foundations and tints.
laura Sutton ohhh good to know. I guess I should have asked xo trying this tomorrow this way thank you
@@ElleLearyArtistry I hope you have success tomorrow with the serum!🤞
I haven’t tried it yet, but your skin looks beautiful!!! It always does though❤️
