    Nice tour! Highly recommend the ratcheting wrenches with a 5° offset on the box end. The 0° have their uses but the offset helps a lot.

    • @roberthance1187
      @roberthance1187 Рік тому

      Agreed 110%... If I'm wrenching on a nut/bolt and want the convenience of a ratchet, I'm almost always going to want the convenience of the offset as well.
      When a bolt starts to bottom out on a panel let's say, you either bust your knuckles or wrench w/the tips of your fingers with a flat wrench, why include a ratchet to do something stupid quickly?
      Just seems to me, if the companies are going to put in the cost to include the ratcheting mech, then you might as well put an angle on the darned thing as well.
      As you said, no offset has it's uses, but not commonly enough in most worlds to really necessitate a ratcheting mechanism to it.

    Bruh! I have a similar set up. My Pittsburgh pro chrome sockets and Craftsman Chinesium 3/8 sockets have been awesome. For impact sockets I have been very happy with Tekton. I recently upgraded my ratchets to Gearwrench and Snap on. Zero complaints on my set up.

  • @TimYarbroughII

    Great video man. Don't worry about upgrading to an SAE. Sockets or wrenches anytime soon because most American cars are metric nowadays anyways.

    If Your looking to upgrade your screwdrivers I would highly recommend Vessel brand. They are JIS meant for Japanese screws. You’ll never strip your heads again since you mostly work on Japanese cars. As do I.
    Knipex it’s pronounced Ka-nee-pix. Also check out Koken 3/8 universal socket it’s a ball joint style. 👍

    Hope you took them jack stands back. Those look like the recall ones. And, I recommend you buy Tekton. No skip on most of their sets, price is cheaper and I feel a better product. The impact set your lookin for, from Tekton, is 50 bucks. Look into there rewards and warranty process. Buying direct is the way to go for Tekton.

    & where did you buy the Milwaukee ratcheting wrenches?

  • @buildurtruck9188
    @buildurtruck9188 3 роки тому

    Snap on ratchets are #1 tekton and icon seem to hold second according to all the youtube testing ive seen. Sockets tho I dont care what snap on lovers say even the cheapest brands use the flank drive now and have identical tolerances husky stanley and most other mid brands will last just as long. There wrenches are only worth the flank drive plus which if your a enthusiast they mar the fastener and thats a no go. Its the specialty tools you truly pay for its the development of the product and having a slightly better name that makes it worth more. honestly I have a set of older slim profile stanley wrenches that are the exact same as my snap on ones in my work box minus the flank drive plus. They may be the top brand but they still have just as much product overlap with other cheaper brands as any other.

    “KNIPEX” is pronounced “NIP” “EX” silent K like knife. 👍 for what you do with your cart I recommend getting more ICON stuff since your wanting to upgrade but don’t use it for work. I’ve been testing the ICON stuff professionally as a heavy diesel mechanic and they are decent for the price. Can’t beat Snap-On tho.

    the thing with snap on tools is that if you buy it used like from ebay or pawn shop even if you buy new from anywhere other than a rep or snap on website there's no warranty if it breaks, i tested their warranty and they wouldn't replace my tool because i didn't purchase from an authorized snap on dealer.

    • @mythicalducky
      @mythicalducky 2 роки тому

      That's not true that sounds like a dealer just being a jerk, i have warrantied a bunch of snap on stuff i didn't buy from that dealer, and if they won't warranty it call snap on support/ warranty and tell them what is going on

      That isn't true for at one point owned stock in mazda but ford never made mazdas other than some rebadges mazda and ford shared parts for a long time but since 2012 i believe ford and mazda have been unaffiliated (also ford used mazda parts more than mazda used for parts)
