    Bro this video is awesome. I love that you tell us about the issues you had and how you fixed them. You was also extremely specific and walked us through step by step. Literally perfect. Thanks

    Trail and error brother. Ive been there lol. Good video and good to see you doing it yourself. Keep wrenching and wheeling. It gets easier the more projects you do !!

    Good video.... if you do end up crawling it, weld the kit to frame. Mine held up amazing. U need custom drive shafts now . Great video man

      Might as well weld it to the frame huh! I have new driveshafts waiting in the garage to be installed. Thank you for the support! 🤙🏻

    Awesome job!
    I like how you didn't clean anything before starting. This shows you actually use the jeep as intended and also what one can expect to run into. Nice detail as well.

    One thing that broke 2 times were the upper shock brackets.. I made small gussets for them to brace where the top end meets the smaller lower end.. the 90deg bend. FYI it'll be good to do. Rough country did send me new ones each time and was over night mail

    • @JDCarsChannel
      @JDCarsChannel  5 років тому +1

      Very good to know! I did think those brackets looked a little skimpy... I’ll definitely weld up some gussets.

    Hey man love your video and it helped me with my 4 inch long arm installation mor than you know... however I did notice your front upper control arms are on the wrong side because the small hole on the axle side is supposed to be on the top, per step 38 in the installation manual. I even confirmed with RC and they instructed me that the bend in the upper control arm should be outward towards the tire and small hole on the axle end should be up....
    Hope this doesn't come off as a dig, I truly do appreciate the work you put into these videos and only pointing it out because I'm not sure if it will cause any problems for you.

    • @JDCarsChannel
      @JDCarsChannel  2 роки тому

      Hey! Thank you for catching that! I appreciate you checking with RC and commenting to let us all know. The instructions I received appeared to be for a similar (but different) lift kit, so things got a little difficult to figure out... the front control arm orientation being one of them 😅 Thanks again for yourr comment!

    Great video man, discovered your channel with all the EAG products, definitely earned my subscribe! Such great in-depth quality videos! Just a quick question, what paint/primer did you use on the axle and frame, gotta do the same thing to my JK

      Thank you! I just used some basic krylon rust preventing spray paint from the hardware store

    Synergy manufacturing makes a “bolt on” kits. So does evo off-road, rubicon express, Clayton off-road just to name a few.

      Thanks for letting me know. They look good-- will be fully welding my next long arm kit. I've already welded this one to the frame. Originally, I didn't have the 210 machine I needed to make structural welds.

    Would you need to replace your transmission with 35s or re gear with this lift kit ?

    • @JDCarsChannel
      @JDCarsChannel  2 роки тому

      You can drive with stock transmission and gears on 35s just fine. You can also with 37s but the Jeep is a little sluggish so we regeared for 37s

    What all did you use to paint the axle. That came out way better than I expected!

    • @JDCarsChannel
      @JDCarsChannel  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks Josh! I used a fairly basic black, rust preventing spray paint. It may have been Krylon Rust Protector but I'm not positive

    You will get it raised and it will look good but may it drive very well and will be a matter of time before rattling and falling apart I can't believe you have a customer paying you to do that I'll give you a A for effort that's how you learn but do your homework and do use loc tight and a torq wrench and be as professional as you can not bustin your balls just a few tips remember the caster offset washer is how they align the jeep

    • @JDCarsChannel
      @JDCarsChannel  3 роки тому +1

      I love it! The shocks are still dampening like new and I've yet to break anything! The thing drives sort of like a truck haha. You'll be glad you upgraded to the Vertex shocks. They're high quality and very beefy. Good luck with your install brother!

    This video clearly explains why I will never buy a modded vehicle.
    If it isn't stock, buyer beware of shitty shade tree mechanic mods.
