This is the best explanation I have seen on how to do a heliloop, and the reasons for the kite position. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
You are right.
But I would love to see how much movement is on the bar at what time.. maybe you could tune tye video a bit with that
Hey, this is a great explanation, thanks!
So nice video! Thanks a lot!
Wow…supercool explained…thumb n abo done …thx
hey man, love the effort the share this stuff eh! my question- on that first pop and hard back to 11 (while at apex ) , you speak about returning the kite back to 12, pausing , and then doing a tight back handed heli
often I do the first half of this, sending the kite towards 11, just as you describe , but then I down loop by pivoting at that 11 o clock state and I ride away essentially converting the jump to a down looped transition. my question is then: was that down loop a heli, (you mentioned at the start there’s tons of variety in helis) and otherwise what’s the incentive to shift from what I described to your demonstration? these jumps are at 25-30ft , so maybe the incentive to push thru the maneuver to your finishing steps (back hand heli), is for higher jumps to avoid hard landings / style points etc?
All of the above!. Helis are a thing of style but it boils down to just being a tool in your box. A true heli is a full 360 with kite above your head. A down loop is off in front of you and the kite never is sent faar enough back past your head. Think about the the kite being the blades of a helicopter. About the fuselage.
Great explanation. Is it easier / less risky to learn heliloop on shorter lines (about 16-18m)?
Altitude is what is needed for the best completion of a a heli. No doubt short lines help with loops. The factor is wether you can get high enough.
I don’t think shorter than 20m is completely necessary
How do i know if the kite is really over my head do i look at it or should i feel it or is it in the beginning ok to look at it to get the feel for it?
its super important to look up at the kite and watch, as you lift off the water you are no longer a boarder, you are a paraglider. Sign the kite like your flying down off a mountain. Don't mess up!
So in this situation riding to the left you would be starting the back loop by pulling in the right side of the bar correct ?
Front (left )hand loop is much easier no need to send kite forward when jumping left as kite naturally sits at 1 o'clock slightly behind you then crank bar about 2m off water
Just curious, where are you riding? Haven’t been able to determine the spot.

Can you loop with 24 m line s
This video was with 23m on 10m edge
Yes I loop a bunch on Core stock lines @24m
Can you heli loop a 15m kite? (Contra 2022)
this was take with a 15 GTS by Core. The GtS is def more performance oriented but with the right altitude and hangtime you can Heli any size. The key point is when to and when not to pull the trigger. ua-cam.com/video/xrIvajrAd4k/v-deo.htmlsi=McBcy2YbTHe7acY7
Thanks.I have a question, how do you steer your bar to heliloop ?
I am not sure what you are asking?
That is exactly what you want to see but they don't show. What is your bar movement when your kite is going back to 12 hour and you initiate the Heliloop. I guess looking to the clip that he pull the right side of the bar down? I think that is what you mean, KGB VAL?
@@hansvandertoorn6930 Im still unclear. If you want to steer the kite right, you pull right, if you want to steer more agressive then steer right whil pulling the bar in. If your kite is on the right side of 12, say 2, then pull left
@@hansvandertoorn6930 more or less, thanks Hans
@@ewatersports Please excuse my poor english..I wanted to know if i have to pull the bar all the way down to the chicken loop and steer agressively to have a tight loop less powerfull than pull middle or not and steer lightly. I guess you have answered half my question. Thanks a lot.
