1.) Lean forward, yes lean more forward 2.) Handle the wing over your head like a pizza 3.) bend you knees and carve into the jibe 4.) let go the wing with one hand 5.) still carving and look where you wanna go! 6.) have fun! ;)
I'm jealous! I'm a windsurfing foiler and it took me many sessions (like a few dozen) to get to the point where I could pull off anything resembling a decent foil jibe.
It's not like windsurfing, dont weight the back foot. Tell yourself over and over again, "weight on the front foot". Don't try to come all the way around quickly. Come out of the turn still going downwind more than you think you should. Enter the gybe low on the foil because you will rise when the wing is over your head. I don't switch feet until a while after I've completed the gybe.
The problem is, you end up switch stance. If you practice this on land first, on your board in the wind, it would have saved you half of your time. Always practice on land first. Wing handling and feet!
I agree. No problem being switch stance, sometimes we gybe or tack out of it or simply switch the feet after. We did do some land practise to get a feel for the switch stance position, which definitely helped speed up the learning process 👍🏻

4.5) move wing to the outside of the turn so it doesn’t backwind in your face. This was the key point for Jesse 👍🏻

It’s tricky on the windsurf foil! Everyone learns at different speeds - Jesse picked it up super fast
Your foil breaches in the jibe are a consolation to me, I do exactly the same mistake!
I remember them as well. It'll come with time!
😊k joy
Very good video. One question: Who was controlling the drone? Or was it not controlled at all but was it in tracking mode?
I am flying the drone. My friend is the one learning to gybe!
you tried the "hardest jibe" :D. it's easier if you swap your feet before the jibe ;)
Where is that? Looks beautiful (and flat)
goood job, no board leash and where is this beautiful spot ?
Forgot the leash this day 😭 it’s vasiliki!
Smashed it 💪
he learned it quicker than I did!
