Up here in Western NY our snowmobile club has a few pole saws we use to trim up the trees on the trails for the trail groomers. They can be a beast to handle, keep the harness strap adjusted right and pivot off the strap by pushing down on the rear you won't use your arm to lift the front as much. It takes a while to figure it out.
Yeah it just felt like I wasn't utilizing the strap to its fullest. I just never got it in the right positiion. I'll play around with it, and see if I can't get it figured out. Thanks for watching!
When I watch you stump grinding you start on the left side and work your way to the right ... I think the manual says it should be the other way around... Have you tried it both ways ??
I took a look through the manual and it doesn’t really state one way or another. The disk turns counter clockwise. There is an opening on the left side of the grinder and a shaving guard on the right. Seems logical to me to start on the right side of the stump and work left. This is of course all above grade level. Once below, it turns in to more of a search and destroy mission for any remaining wood.
Love my Echo pole saw, but they'll wear you out for sure
That's no joke. I'm still tired today...lol
Your the man!! Quite the reach with the cutter.
That thing is sweet, but HEAVY!
Cuts real nice. Gonna be a new handy piece of equipment for ya 👍
I think so too. Since being on this job for so long, I've really neglected my own house and property. I'll find plenty of trees to use it on.
