My son is almost 5 months and he still won’t lift himself up. He just sits there.. does this sound like something that’s a big enough of an issue I should bring it to his doctors attention? Im a first time mom and there’s just so much info on the internet

Hello Nekole, thank you very much for this video. Could you please help me, my baby is 4 and a half months old and we have been doing tummy time since day 1. The problem I have is that she won’t put any weight on her arms they are in the air on her sides it doesn’t matter how many times I try to put her arms in front of her she pulls them back. What can I do to encourage her to put her arms down? Thank you in advance I hope you have a lovely day.

I just found your channel and now I'm hooked! Im currently obtaining my bachelors in psychology and minor in kinesiology and want to get a masters of OT after graduation. Any tips to help me out? Like is there some research or job experience I should try to have before getting my masters? Im also definitely wanting to specialize in pediatrics after graduation. I currently work as a pediatric medical scribe with a MD and I love being around Pediatrics. I hope that aids in me getting into the MOT program and also doing well.

Hi Sunny! Thank you so much for the kind words! It sounds like you are on the right path. All of those classes would be very helpful when entering the OT program. I would check with your college counselor to see what your OT programs requires in terms of pre-reqs, etc. It does sound like you will have a leg up though when you're ready to apply. Keep up the good work, and best of luck! :)

My 9 month old is really far behind, mostly because tummy time was such a torture. She's just starting to roll and can't sit up by herself. She lists to the side when I put her in a highchair and does 'airplane arms' when I put her on her stomach. She hates having her arms up under her, I've tried implementing games and sensory play but she just hates it. Anyone else have these problems?

Hi, my baby is a preemie and she just turned 6 months, born in October and it's April now. My question is regarding her development with crawling. She's started going on her knees with her tummy up high, the only thing I see is that she puts her head on the floor when she's moving. Is that okay or how can I assist her to not do this?

Does swaddling hinder tummy time muscle development ?? My LO is just about 8 weeks old and we are still struggling with tummy time. He really hates being on his tummy still. He’s swaddled at night time and usually for day time naps, otherwise he doesn’t sleep. ..

Hi Sara! I am so sorry to hear this. I completely understand how awful it is to watch our little ones struggle. I first want you to know that you are so not alone. This comes up so often that I created a course to help parents navigate challenges in tummy time so that it can be fun and enjoyable. There are several foundational layers I believe every parent should understand to help them make appropriate modifications and adaptations. If you are interested in learning more, I've linked it below for you. Sending you all the love, and happy early Mother's Day! Xx www.kidsothelp.com/offers/pqDDjJ5P

My baby is 5 mos old he loves tummy time so much that he even does it when he is sleeping. I can not get him to lay on his back anymore. Is this bad? Im afraid that he will suffocate himself. I make sure that there is nothing in his crib but sometimes he has his face down on the matress. He is not crawling yet while awake but silly boy sleep crawls ends up banging his head on the side of the crib. I do not want to add any bumpers due to finding his face up against the sides. Any ideas that can help us?
