Just to add to your discussion on late-in-the-day sales and bundle pricing. Hit up a garage sale at 2:30 PM on Saturday. I saw a tote of Barbies in box but was going to wait until the end to look through it. While looking at everything else, I heard one of the house owners making plans to get everything that didn't sell over to Goodwill since it was a moving sale. Didn't really find anything I wanted so I went and looked at the tote of Barbies. There were like $350 worth of Barbies in there and they were asking $150-$200 based on stickers attached to each one. The only one I was going to pick up for sure was a Badgley Mishka Barbie they had priced at $25 but decided to ask what they wanted for the whole tote. Since it was end of day and going to Goodwill, they gave me the whole tote of Barbies, tote included, for $50.
When Kevin speaks about the business of reselling I would love to be able to see the movie playing in Cary’s head as he zones out and escapes to his special place.
Really good podcast this week. I recently bought a box of really old figurines and salt and pepper shakers for $10. I know I know Salt and peppers , ugh. But these were all from the 1940’s and 1950’s and some good value. Made in Taiwan , Japan and occupied Japan pieces. Currently have comped out about $300 worth of items and I still have half a box to go. Great to learn and experiment on the cheap.
I picked up a little Activision action figure thing 50 cents, sold in 2 hours for 10.99 plus shipping. Not testing needed, quick 4 pics and listed, after all is said and done I make like 7-8 bucks. I just picture seeing 7-8 bucks sitting on the ground that I picked up and put in my pocket
You guys need to bring me in on a show if you are looking for guys that are interesting and who doesn't get a lot of views. Like you are talking right to my face.
Kevin I really didn't like the packing part, especially when it was long, but I hung in there for the sake of keeping your watch to the end number up, you're welcome, lol
There is a good reason to not buy it - if it’s something you have zero interest in listing and it’s a category commonly sitting in your death pile for months. Nothing wrong with skipping things
This was such a good episode, Kevin is fully embracing the swinger life style, (you may of actually converted him) and Dave and Cary are as quick as always. The "beat" hairy tornado with golf club was great. Side note did you see in the Facebook group people were answering the question from last week on who would play each of you. Some of the suggestions were tough......
Okay, last week I said that was the best episode in a while, then y'all hit us with this banger! Thanks for the real casual conversation with good flow and solid topics!
Also, more serious point, Kevin is correct, teaching by occurrence rate is one of the biggest burnout professions, right behind jobs in medical field/mental health, and law enforcement. I also speak from experience, as been doing it for close to 20 years
Re: 1:00:00 - new sellers should stick to a category they *enjoy* and have some knowledge on. Buy heavy there and light in new categories. It will speed up processing and listing and allow for a little learning while they go
Minky is a fabric (that you can make blankets or plushies out of). It is super soft with bumps on it. But it isn't anything special, it is more how the finished blanket looks. But the fabric only costs at most $14 a yard, so even a nice blanket shouldn't cost more than $30 to make (at the very most). If it is quilted (pieces put together) it will be more because sewing with Minky is really, really tough (it slips and sides!) Hope this helps explain Minky.
I'd love to have here in Portugal estate sales, yard sales, etc. like you have there in the US. That way I wouldn't have to dish out lots of cash to educate myself in a niche!
I went to a Goodwill last week and there was a vehicle in the parking lot that had EXACTLY the correct amount of space in the car for 1 person to sit in the drive seat. There was junk literally piled to the top of the car in the passenger seat, rear seat, and trunk. It was wild seeing a car that packed with stuff. A part of me wants to know what the inside of that car smelled like, lol.
@@greynape Probably. I've got no idea what that person was actually going to purchase from Goodwill because I don't think it was going to be possible for them to actually put something into their vehicle lol
Arkanoid is of Breakout linage, not Space Invaders. The controller for the arcade game is also excessively rare compared to the circuit board that holds the game.
When I see a nostalgic item that I know is uncommon to find anywhere, I will buy it. Reason being, it will make someone out there looking for it happy. Sometimes it isnt about the item profit, it is about making a difference to someone. And, usually they become a repeat buyer! Quick question, I keep hearing yall talk about discord. Is it private or for your viewers also ?
I think unrealistic BOLO'S are what hurts credibility. Years ago I found WW2 reversible frog skin camo. Is it a bolo...sure...are you likely going to find some no. Dave had a bolo recently that I found and never would have looked at before. Those Good 2 Grow character caps actually sell for decent money in a lot. Dave mentioned them and within a couple weeks I found some. That is a realistic bolo.
The Texas Roadhouse is not an authentic Texas style restaurant. First it is was started in Indiana, not Texas. Also, they don't serve Lone Star Beer or Ranch Style Beans. Not authentic.
I think if you hired workers to do your live sales, you wouldn't have as many sales as sometimes I am watching just because of your personalities. I think you guys don't recognize the value you individually bring to the platforms where you live sale.
One vote for the Wealthy As Cary Tier

Kevin is awfully sassy today! That paige comment had me rolling!
I’m happy to hear that Kevin has found a way to grow his empire! Hope it works for the family as well

It’s always mighty ducks 2…the scene where they are roller blading picking up friends on the way to the mall of America
Sorry Cary but the clip that got me the most laugh from me is when Dave pushed you

Just a reminder, screen looks better with Kevin at the bottom
Kevin my daughters love to cut the tags off their plush. I’m always like “What are you doing?! You’re ruining the resale value!”

Tim definitely knows glass..totally impressed by his knowledge!
Live auctions are the best places to to source items and they are a ton of fun to attend.

Love the dibdit background
Glad to see all the other channels hopping aboard this topic train lol
When Kevin says he is going to sell action figure ish items he really means Tupperware
😂😅
I found a dark brown Tupperware ice bucket from the 80s and for some reason I am excited about listing the item. I guess it’s just the nostalgia
Need more Dave impersonating Kevin getting mad and throwing his zyn cans lmao 😂
Kevin I really didn't like the packing part, especially when it was long, but I hung in there for the sake of keeping your watch to the end number up, you're welcome, lol
The realist podcast out there

You have also missed Biggs Collectibles two times before this week. Is it a glitch or user error. 😂
That lamp lady screwed up glass haha everyone wants a million bucks for swung vases now....
😂 Appreciate the shout out, meme is being made 😂 Love you Kevin! ❤
I agree Dave I have ADHD as well I forget about stuff until I see it again.
my phone is full of photos of stuff I have to look up or do!
Yahoo!!! Time for trash to cash!!!
One of yall best episodes, tons of great information
Did you learn some things Tim?

😂”Rockstar or someone who rakes in a lot of profit”

Appreciate that
Catering in Bedford?? I have a hard time believing that. I was a star in Kevin’s recent picker video.

As usual, you three had me in belly chuckles 🤭 luv u 😍

Fun to listen while I list, and relist (using Vendoo, Dave, btw) and I am amused, so time just flies. lol
Kevin is on the ebay payroll that is how he knows all the inside ebay secrets.

I would rather run backwards through a corn field without lube than sell glass on ebay and have to make boxes for this stuff.
I WANT to see the whole process, I want to see how it is packaged.

Your all awesome. Keep up the good work all.
this should be interesting....
Fun Fact, that Natalie Imbruglia song 'Torn' is actually a cover from a band called Ednaswap
Milk glass vases (taller the better) are moving up.
Let Kevin love ❤️
Kevin - the 28.00 comp on the Nubbins putter was mine - if I got 28 for it you should crush it (or crush Harry, your choice) 😂
You guys are hilarious!

Kevin's catered SMBD event (smoked meat beef deer)
So like, adaptation
Carey’s on 🔥 🔥🔥🔥😆
Hey Oh!!! Mt. Dew Zero!!!
All the ads today are for people over 50!
Why did you start with Kevin in the top corner. You know Kevin likes it on the bottom!
Put Kevin on the bottom 0:31
seriously
Schrödinger's pickin' with Dave
Comment on object permanence- adhd myself I take pictures of things I don’t have time to look up at the moment to research later.

To be fair I didn't know you were going to be there either!
I have purposely not purchased something because it felt “wrong”. Superstitious, maybe, but I’ve seen too much not to believe.

As a guest at the Commonwealth Picker "catered" dinner, I can say... the caviar was excellent
❤
Did kevin break out the silver and fine bone china for the party????
Dave, pls stop picking on Cary. All good fun, can get mean!
A 40 something year old man buying stuffed animals is super cringe, just sayin'.
