A very interesting concept. I enjoy the incorporation of the die in the pen. It seems compact enough to take with you anywhere - you can use it to kill time if there is no power or you cannot afford to use up your phone's battery life. These games books remind me of my childhood. If I may make one suggestion - you should change up the rules every few floors (this may be something you've done already) or have multiple different games in one book (this idea probably had occurred to you already, and I apologise if that is the case)
I'm loving my Paper Apps DUNGEON book. I just have a question about movement. The detailed guide on your website states "If there are direction(s) available that allow you to take your full move without hitting a wall, you must pick one of those." Because of this rule, I've died 6 times on the first 13 floors of my book! But at 3:40 in the video, you choose to bounce off a wall rather than take the direction (up-left) that the rules would suggest you HAVE to take (going through a monster with -3HP). Can anyone clarify?
I'm searching a good video for several questions regarding the "bounces" on the wall in a few different configuration. but it's at your 3rd move that you already made a mistake. In the rules it's written that if a movement can be done without touching a wall you HAVE to do it. so you couldn't go up right you had to go up left a take 3 dmg. (old video so maybe the rules changed til now)
and you can't go back or cross your 2 lasts ways unless you have to. so your move at 5:41 is wrong to. you had to go left and then up and take 2x3 dmg. 3rd mistake just after that, you had to go left (backward yes because it's the only way you can do without touching a wall. and i'll stop there because the 2-3 next moves are all wrong. I'll search help in another video :/
Yeah - I'd also noticed this issue re movement. I've used the contact form on the Gladden website to find out. Has anyone else had a response on this? Other than this query, I'm really enjoying the game - and the new design of the pencil dice is so nice.
if you roll an odd number, you move that number of steps diagonally, if you roll an even number, you move that number of steps orthogonally. So rolling a 1, 3 or a 5 would mean you can only choose diagonal paths, while rolling 2, 4 or 6 would mean you can only choose orthogonal paths
Perfect video to illustrate why this game is a scam. Two main flaws of this so called game. Movements are way too random and constrained (the guy is event not following the PDF rules in the video which are even worse) leaving almost no choice to the player. Second flaw, look at the ennemies distribution compared to heart on each floor. There is no way to survive several floors in a row with that much cells making you lose HP. This in the opposite of fun and feels just the creator did not even try to balance its game.
yea because hes looking at a vertical notebook... there would be no reason to film horizontal. Believe it or not there are reasons to film vertical. Stop regurgitating things you hear others say.

I did just buy this online but I have one question.
Shouldn't your "pencil d6" have each opposite side add up to seven like a real d6?
I just use a d6 actual die.
Spindown dice don't.
