Buddy, I had a similar experience with a somewhat popular 2018 anime and that anime somewhat traumatized me. It had good writing but the topic? Oh that bloody topic! Why the hell did they have to write about that of all things? Why the hell did the messed up teenager's "significant other" who knew nothing of all the crazies be a freakin child suffering from parental abuse and probably barely had an idea of what was happening to her(not to mention at least a bit sexualized)? I don't want to like something genuinely creepy and morally unsound just because some of the characters made me genuinely cry. But I do and it makes me hate myself even more.

Throughout the whole manga there is no moments where he acts actually "pedo", there are even no intimate/sexual acts between them. He even marries entirely different grown up woman later (she is mid 20s I think?). Explain to me, how this particular action that you've mentioned is "pedo"? I'll repeat, his deceased wife is literally right here, with all her memories, with the same mental state or whatever.

I just think there are better ways to write a story about grief involving the deceased helping their loved ones move on from them without turning them into a child then having pages dedicated as to why their spouse shouldn't date/ remarry them
