Nice & Thanks :)
I have an Intel Xeon W7-2495X 24C/48T system, with no desire to overclock it at all. I have six computers and a NAS in my small office room, and I don't need more noise and heat. :)
@@tejiriamrasa3258 - I use the Xeon W7-2495X system for high-end 3D software testing and Unreal Engine 5 work with massive open world landscapes. I have a small retail 3D software business for the software that I develop.
The complete Xeon system components are: Xeon W7-2495X, ASUS W790 ACE, 512GB DDR5 ECC RDIMM, ASUS ROG STRIX RTX-3090, WD Black SN850+, Corsair 5000D case, etc.
I plan to increase the memory to 2TB once the 256GB RDIMMs become more available.
Tnx for the video! Is that possible to compare this system with AppleM2 Ultra? It would be especially interesting to know difference in cost of FLOPS per Watt. Thanks!
12:15 that isn't completely unheard of, it just hasn't really happened much recently. I'd say the last mainstream intel CPU I remember that you could easily overclock by +1ghz or more on all cores was the Q6600 Core2Quad. Adding 1.2ghz or more all core overclock was quite common on those chips.
DaVinci Resolve results are interesting to look at. :D
hi i would like a view of the W9-3495x i use it for rednering i work whit a big compay
Thanks for a video!
It is pretty hard right now to find and pick HEDT platform.
Threadriper is outdated and doesn't have good thunderbolt support I need.
Xeon seems cool, and might be good in games also, cause it's basically 12th gen, but expensive af.
I currently have i9-10980XE and custom loop with direct die. I do 8K video editing and also shoot tech reviews, and play games on a same PC with 4K 144hz monitor. But my CPU is starting to show bottleneck sometimes, over my rtx 4090. I also do need at least 4 pci slots, and 4 m.2 slots, which I'm using right now, and the mainstream platform - i9 and etc, can't provide me that. Also country I'm living in right now, is completely cut out from all the tech product in the world, so all of these factors only leaving me with a hope, that something wouldn't brick inside my pc :(
Threadripper 7000 is coming in a few months, but I do not know if that will have the Thunderbolt support you need
I'd say the w7 2495x is a better cpu for your use case as it's monolithic
@@TheStopwatchGod Just add a Thunderbolt PCIe card with independent controller and you got Thunderbolt support
I really don't know if to build a workstation with a Threadripper or a Xeon cpu. DDR5 5 or 4? Pci 5 or 4? I need to install 2 gpus and eventually add another one. I need 4 nvme ssds, two of them raid 0. All air no aio coolers.
When I first started overclocking, all we had to do was change the jumper pins on the motherboard to match the configuration of entirely different, and higher binned CPU's. I made my Pentium 133 think it was a 166, and ran it without a heatsink, lol.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say regardless of stability I would like to see the 720w results
Could you make a review of the 16GB version of the 4060 Ti and maybe compare it to the 8GB 4060 Ti? From a content creator's perspective obviously.
I wonder how it compares to my new Lian-Li trinity II Performance 360? It does a great job cooling my 13900kf
Coming up later in August, spoiler alert: it's flipping awesome!
What Motherboard / CPU / SSD combo settings stays the COOLEST ?……..
I understand the problem of coming up with new subjects for videos. There is not a whole lot being released to review. A suggestion is DDR 4 vs DDR 5. This might be something that would help creators. The last video you did on it was about a year ago, and a lot has changed in the last year. For example I edit photos on Luminar. It is a Lightroom like program. Would DDR 5 make a huge difference to passive or active editing, is it worth the extra cost now? DDR 5 has come down a lot, but DDR 4 has gotten incredibly cheap. I need to build a new computer about every three generations. They tend to design new software that uses advances in CPU technology. When I edited just a few photos at a time it didn't really matter. Now that I edit hundreds of photos a day, it matters big time. This means that if I keep on schedule I will be building a new computer for the 14th generation. Should I go with DDR 4 which I already have 64 gigs of, or should I spring for whole new DDR 5. DDR 5 may have come down to between 2 and 300 dollars, but something that I already have costs me nothing. Also while the basic Luminar program does not use the GPU at all and Intel integrated graphics was fine. New "plug ins" use the GPU a lot. How will higher end and more expensive GPUs affect this. Using a GPU at all is new to us photographers, we could use some education on the matter. I had an old RX570 lying around and it reduced editing times by about 80% for the plug ins. Do I want a better GPU for my new computer, or will the RX570 be fine. I think AMD will work fine, it is a lot cheaper than Nvidia, and there is nothing to decode when editing photos, which opens up my options by a lot.
Not reviewed yet mac studio m2, we are waiting

I gather the enermax aio,s are a wee bit leaky - any other cooler that this can be tried with 🤨🤨
What makes you say that? 🤔
Odd that OC 2.0 loses performance on several tests. Very odd.
Unstable. You always lose performance way before hardware errors that windows manages to recover from and of course before crashing/freezing/blue screening.
@@Jivo-could be a timing difference internally between caches and/or controllers… there’s no way it’s because of stability especially if it’s memory as windows would be kicking errors. Best bet is to check the event logs. The ASUS board has the water block profile which again wouldn’t cause any instability as its tied to temperature causing the whole CPU to throttle anyway.
buying a 1660 ti tomorrow for 250 dollars! I have had the rx6600 for 1 month, thought it would be a bit faster than my old 1650 super!double the ram and speed, still slower than the old 1650super rendering in 4k, since the cuda cores really matter in premiere pro!
Rip off, wth kinda pricing is that
@@wawaweewa9159 the danish prices im afraid!
buy a750 instead
@@movieflaps7772 guess what?!!!! I have it, it wont work on my r7 5700x b550 mobo set up! no igpu to kick the 28 xe cores to render! it can play and show everything on the monitor, it cant render without the darn internal build in gpu like 5600g/5700g!the new amd cpu can render, but its still so expensive to build!
1660ti is under 100 buck for months. For 250$ imma but 6700xt or 3060ti
If you still insist on overclocking as a creator, 1. Test to for a week to find out maximum speed till it fails. 2. then dial back 25% and test for another week. 3. Then update to a better cooling system.
pin?

I’m thinking of going with a 100core thread ripper as I’m rendering a tonne
those do not exist mate
You can get a Thread Shredder, they are available apto 960 Cores.
Oh I didn’t mean thread ripper meant epic, it’s the 9654 line
@@hasanraza4980 uh u sure its called a thredshredder cos i cant find any with that name
