Thanks for showing us the fiber festival. I’ve never been to one since I live in Mississippi and I don’t think we have one near me. I don’t even know of anyone else that knits in my area. I taught myself from a little pattern book I found at a dollar store many years ago.

Try out our Fiber Festival in Salida, Colorado which is about 3.5 hours north of Santa Fe and is always the weekend after Labor Day! We get some of the same vendors but we also get some that don't go to Santa Fe. And thanks for the tours! I didn't know about Dallas but will have to go since I have a new grandson there!

Great video! I’m from NM (ABQ) and had no idea that there were three yarn stores in town. I can’t wait to go visit Mariposa. Thank you for the tour of the shops in SF and Taos. I hope to make it to them and to the yarn festival next year. Now to go watch your other videos.

It was so fun meeting you at the festival! My husband's parents were born and raised in Taos, NM. You asked about my sweater, it's the Strata Pullover made with yarn from my local yarn dyer in Utah...Yarnaceous Fibers (she has a beautiful kit for this sweater!)

Glad to hear you're going to go back and go to Carlsbad Caverns at some point. Make sure you do the walk down into the caverns, and wear shoes with good traction! (And use the handrails in the beginning.) I've been 3? times I think and it's amazing!

From NM. Nice to see the stores!
Did you get to see any of the hot wire balloons go up?
100% alpaca has no memory so not great for sweaters. It is beautiful mixed with other fiber.

I think the yarn at Looking Glass was Jamieson Shetland Spindrift, and not Jamieson & Smith. They are 2 different companies; however, aside from confusing names, the yarns are pretty similar. I hope to see you at Rhinebeck! Safe travels.

I have a technical question: I recently noticed that in your podcast as well as your tuesday-videos the general volume is very low. I have to crank up my devices audio output at such a high level, thath every time ads interrupt the videos my ears get blown away. I checked all my audio settings if thats my fault, but everything is normal, and on other youtubers videos everything is fine. Is there a way for you and Kent to increase the volume (if you know what i mean) so the video in general is louder? I mean, I still would watch your videos without that adjustment, but my ears would appreciate it. And thanks for the vlog video, its very fun!
