Ming W Shane's logic was undeniable in a lot of the situations the group was in. Everybody except for him couldn't let go of their pride and ego to at least consider Shane's proposals. Everybody looked and treated him like the bad guy until he continuously proved them wrong. Andrea was the only person who understood him completely. He's no saint, but he made tons of sense
@@YT_FALLENX I dont think he really wanted to kill Rick. I believe he wanted Rick to kill him out in that field. And he didn't kill Otis...the walkers did, he just maimed him 😂🤣
Season 3-6 was the best 3 seasons I’ve watched out of any tv series. Many would say the same. The Walking Dead never died it just went downhill at season 8 but it’s fanbase is going back up now.
For me Shane was by far the most interesting and compelling character on the show & he only had 2 seasons. Jon Bernthal's portrayal of him was amazing and the other characters for me just aren't or weren't as interesting as Shane. Great video btw! Probably my favourite tribute from you :)
Shane was and still is my favorite character on the walking dead even though we r now in season 5. If u compare how the group is acting now in season 5 it is exactly how Shane was acting in season 2 when everyone thought he was crazy
He's my favorite character still. He's gone through a lot and got confused with that went on with him, Rick, and Lori. He was tough and very smart with trying to keep the group alive. Killing those Zombies in the barn, wanting to Randal, and not risking to for others to get hurt during the search for Sophia. Daryl got hurt and wanted no one else to get hurt. There is just some things he can't handle but still a good character
Shane is such an essential character to Rick, TWD show as a whole and their story's progression, there's no wonder a lot of us like him, even if you take out how much you can sympathise with him, brilliantly written by Kirman's team and perfectly portrayed by John Bernthal.
Simply amazing tribute to the best TWD character. Shane is my favorite. Everyone below me pretty much said all my thoughts: that TWD hasn't been the same since Shane died, Shane was ahead of his time and understood what it took to survive, and he's a very complex and compelling character. Jon Bernthal was wonderful in this role -- this was my first time playing him and it is his superb acting skills that made me love Shane so much.
Shane was proven to have better leadership skills, than Rick more than once. 1: He didn't wanna go and leave the whole camp, just to save a meth addict. 2: He beat Ed, for hitting Carol. 3: He went to go talk to Jim, when he was out there digging and calmed him down. 4: He wanted to go to Fort Benning, where there was guns, food, water, and shelter. 5: He created a distracted, so that him and Otis could get past the walkers. 6: He killed Otis, instead of them struggling to make it out together. 7: He didn't wanna waste time, looking for a lost little girl, when they could have been looking for guns, ammo, food, water, clothes. 8: He broke open the barn, instead of letting Rick help Hershel, put more walkers in there. 9: He cleaned Carol up and apologized for her loss. 10: He went and got Lori and brought her, back to the farm. 11: He led Andrea, T Dog, and Daryl, to kill the walkers in 2x12. 12: He snapped Randall's neck, in the woods, instead of letting him go, risking the chance of him, coming back with 30 of his men, preventing them from killing him, Rick, Carl, Glenn, T Dog, Daryl, Hershel, and Jimmy, and raping Lori, Andrea, Carol, Patrica, Maggie, and Beth.
This show has so many misunderstood villains. Merle, Shane, The Governor. Even Gareth. I really like how they show why these people are who they are. Merle was abused Shane, let's face it, he was being unfairly treated by Lori and Rick. The Governor could never be the same after his daughter's death and wanted to make sure nothing like that ever happened to his people again. Gareth did what he thought he had to do in order to protect his people. The writing of this show is so underrated.
Agreed. They are very complex and well developed characters. Shane, Merle and The Governor remain my favorites on this show aside from Rick. Especially Shane, loved his character.
anythingnew Yes, but why was he like that? because he lost his daughter and he didn't want to lose anyone else. Now Rick is exactly like him, if not worse because he feels the same way.
Merle and Shane are some of the best misunderstood characters on TV ever. they are the best misunderstood characters on the show. But I believe you don't need the villain to be misunderstood to be awesome. Negan (in my opinion) is the best villain the show has ever had. And i don't find him misunderstood at all. He loves what he does. Yes i know the comics and have read Negan's comic back story. But even with that he's not misunderstood. He lost family and some people then became a leader and really took over everything. He's not misunderstood, yeah he thinks what he's doing is right but that doesn't make him misunderstood. He became a king who rules through fear. I also don't think the Governor is misunderstood either. He lost his daughter and became a murderer who's "protecting" his people. Even though killing he killed a good majority of them for simply retreating from a battle they probably wouldn't have won and a battle they didn't wanna be in in the first place. He killed Martinez, Milton, Andrea, Allen. Who of whom were his people at one point or another. Yeah he wasn't misunderstood just a psycho who thought he was right. Gareth was more misunderstood but still not really. His group got really hungry and chose to eat other people. Instead of looting nearby towns or growing their own food like other communities have. My point with this was basically I agree that SHane was awesome and Merle was fantastic.
shane was a great character who made a lot of decisions normal people would but went crazy after killing otis miss dale as well he died to early as well
You know I haven't seen a better Shane video since SuperJacksonHills video Rip Shane. The song, scenes, title defines Shane Walsh. It makes me sad I probably wont find another character as good as the one Jon Bernthal portrayed in the Walking Dead as Shane. Amazing job on the video.
I love this video, it shows just perfectly how hard it all was for Shane... I feel so sorry for him, he fought so much to survive zombie apocalypse, and ended up dying by a hand of his best friend
Miss this guy Jon bernthal is from Washington d.c he lived not far from me such a good guy and great actor. Ashame they look him off the show fuck the comic book. He was the walking dead. Made the show...they fucked up by killing him off.
Man i love your shane tributes and choice in music from the warrior and I hope lauries and ricks baby grows up to look like shane and very slowly as the kid gets older it just looks more and more like him and just messes with the 2 ultimate shane revenge lol
Wow, one of the best videos you have ever made. It really showcases what he went through and really makes you feel for him even though he went crazy. Amazing, amazing job
+Teh Turmenuter THAT KID just told Daryl that his group raped 2 girls and he knew where the farm was , did u even watch the show ? Let the kid go so he can tell his group where the farm is and they can come rape all the woman ? Yea smart lmao
His group might've done something horrible, but does that mean that he is bad? And yes, he probably would have told his own group, but theres not a way to be 100% sure. And yes, i did watch the show. You can obviously see that from my previous comments. And i feel like we have a shane fanboy here
+Teh Turmenuter I feel like we have a Shane hater here , it's funny that the group does the same things Shane was doing back when now in season 5 and 6 of twd. But nobody gets on them just Shane , most people realize that but there's still a few out there like u that haven't realized almost everything Shane did was right
I'm not a shane hater. I actually like him. But i do realize he was a mad man. He did the things he did way too early. He was too perfect for the infection. And several years passed between season 2 and 6
I absolutely love it! We need more Shane videos! :D It's very deep and emotional, specially because Shane was one of my favorite characters. Amazing job, Heather! :)
Shane is my favourite character from TWD together with Dale and Rick.. Why Shane? Because he was the one who knew how the world has ended and he was the one who understood that there is no hope and if you want to survive, you need to fight for it. I wish they would kick him out of the farm and he would come back as a villian later in like season 5 or 6, that would be so awesome!
in the end shane was always right and rick became exactly who he was love him or hate him shane knew what everything would come to that we would enviably find a governor or a negan and would have to enact darwinism

However his desires both based upon lust and power are essentially what does him in. Therefore he was not a good person to share the proverbial "fox hole" with. When Shane died so did some of the show, but I'm glad they didn't kill him off as early in the comics.
They did
Radio Chicken ? No shane literally the first issue in the comics and Robert Kirkman said he regretted killing shane off so early In the comics
