Shane remains the best character this show ever had. He's by far the most complex character on the show ever. He was tough, he was a realist, he was mentally abused, and he was misunderstood. Characters with the most complexity opens up a lot of aggressive conversations on whether the character's morality is correct or flawed, and Shane embodies that notion.
I think Rick feels guilty about what happened to Shane. He came to terms with the fact that Judith is Shane's child, and if he would have accepted that fact when Shane was alive, then maybe Shane or even Lori will still be alive.
Every episode I tell myself "what would it be like if Shane was still alive" I really wish he didn't fall in love with Lorie, if he didn't, he would more than likely still be alive right now. The group ended up turning out like he did, so that just goes to show you, Shane accepted that there was no hope and it was the survival of the fittest a lot earlier than anybody else did.
Absolutely agree 100%. Shane is such a complex character and there are so many layers to him. It's great to read other comments from fans who really understand appreciate the complexity that is Shane Walsh. I'd add more, but you said it all already.

I liked Shane a lot he had a temper no doubt but he showed rick and Hershel how the world really was and made them wake up to reality. He knew what it took to survive and showed know fear.
Shane had to die for Rick to become who he is now. After Shane died Rick understood sometimes you have to get your hands dirty to survive. He became who Shane wanted him to be its really good they way it turned out. The group wouldn't have lasted as long if Rick didn't change. Shane thought Rick was to weak but Shane lost it and couldn't get back, Rick lost it but he came back better than ever.
While it's amazing to imagine how interesting and even more depressing Shane's story would of been had he lived (imagine watching your best friend be happy family's with your child and the women you love) look at what Shane has become, he's become a symbol, he is constantly referenced as part of ricks story arc as rick constantly walks the line of sanity that his best friend did before him

I loved this. Shane is my all-time favorite character on TWD and Rick is my 2nd. I loved this...the way you fit all the clips and different lines. All the different parts of Shane. This is amazing...We saw so many sides of Shane here, and how Rick remembers him. I loved this. I know I said that already, but really--you gave full justice to Shane's character here. Incredible video showcasing the true relationship pre-apocalypse, and post-apocalypse of The Grimes' family, and Shane Walsh. He was truly Rick's best friend before everything went to shit, and he was for a while throughout the apocalypse. But you did a great job showing how Rick has probably thought of him even when he was not around. Keep up the great videos! I would love to see some videos that have a bit of a quicker pace to them with songs like Hero by Skillet, My Demons, Fight, Warriors, and songs similar to those :D. Shane did that to himself. Lori didn't change him. All of them made choices and she didn't lead him on, he knew that she was grieving her husband, just as he was grieving his friend. He couldn't let go.

1:49 как же шедеврально с Шейном и Карлом, а так же Момент с рациями...Это Шейн Уолш, и Рик держит рацию, затем говорит, Я рик граймс.
И в конце эта застывающая картинка с Риком...ух. приятно было вспомнить давно забытого, хорошего персонажа. Спасибо за меморис мужик.

I loved this. Shane is my all-time favorite character on TWD and Rick is my 2nd. I loved this...the way you fit all the clips and different lines. All the different parts of Shane. This is amazing...We saw so many sides of Shane here, and how Rick remembers him. I loved this. I know I said that already, but really--you gave full justice to Shane's character here. I wonder how the show would've played out if Rick wasn't shot in first season, and experiences the outbreak, apocalypse and chaos and what if he didn't shot Shane in the ending of second season. Man, that's all im wishing for right now. To see them drop their guns each and just hug and return back to the farm alive and well. And the farm wouldn't even be overrun by walkers. That's all im wishing for. Oh and yeah, Lori wouldn't die... GOD DAMN YOU AMC, WHY DID IT HAD TO BE THIS WAY!? WHAT A CRUEL WORLD!!! D;

Incredible video showcasing the true relationship pre-apocalypse, and post-apocalypse of The Grimes' family, and Shane Walsh. He was truly Rick's best friend before everything went to shit, and he was for a while throughout the apocalypse. But you did a great job showing how Rick has probably thought of him even when he was not around. Keep up the great videos! I would love to see some videos that have a bit of a quicker pace to them with songs like Hero by Skillet, My Demons, Fight, Warriors, and songs similar to those :D. Shane did that to himself. Lori didn't change him. All of them made choices and she didn't lead him on, he knew that she was grieving her husband, just as he was grieving his friend. He couldn't let go.
@@bethanychatman9531she 100% changed him, she for sure pull them apart from each other, and definitely made Shane go insane, or at least made him go insane quicker
