He's such a legendary character and a great actor... he's always been so natural and funny, one of the streets best assets actually. I remember on the old set tour and they pointed out Steve's locker when he was a teenager, everybody laughed as he's so fondly thought of by fans
There seems to be a lot less fights on the street now in comparison to the 90s/early 00's, limited only to single punches, and yet more murders/attempted murders.

Steve has been through a lot he went from a bad lad when younger to a daft loving dad from Embarrassing Amy & Emma to mispronouncing Moora name to a loyal friendship with Lloyd and Tim would love to see Lloyd back in the soap them two were funny but a trio would make Steve the most comedic trio ever
The Jez Quigley episodes were classic. Can't believe its been 20 years! And has anyone noticed that in the 90s/early 00s episodes Steve was quite a bad boy and now they've turned him into a silly joke that doesn't know what day it is. Even on serious storylines he acts as if it's some kind of comedy??! Not just him, Gail Platt too.
I know precisely what you mean. And If you ask me, Jez Quigley reminds me of Villianous Furio in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy especially the Terrifying villain Psygorn in the 1984 Japanese Power Rangers TV series "Choudenshi Bioman "
My favourite character it is was Karen Mcdonald playing by Suranne Jones and she's In from scott and Bailey she's role-playing called Rachel in with her own other program she's from the coronation street and scott and bailey and celebrity starts in their eyes
Some of Steves women need another focus...higher education or something...getting so riled up about him...cant fathom it. He is my favourite character though.

Tracy did it to Steve, but they got the worst from Karen and Becky .
