She drums so free as a bird. What a happy lady.
I think it’s worth mentioning that Sina Döering, drum superstar, has a special quality that goes unrecognized. Curiously, it makes me love her work all that much more, and it’s this: She doesn’t perform for the camera.
That seems like an odd thing to say about someone who video tapes her truly outstanding drum performances. But here’s the thing: She makes her music not about her; she makes it about the music! She doesn’t stare at the camera, acting cutesy. Her performances never comes off as, “Look at me; see how entertaining I am.”
To me, Sina is one of the most brilliant, down-to-earth musicians you’ll ever have the pleasure of seeing. No ‘glamming it up’ for the audience; the spotlight is not on her looks or how enticing she can make herself appear. No, the focus is on her technique, her timing, her precision, her extraordinary skill, and her intense concentration on musical perfection. She leaves her ego at home; she comes to work prepared to make the best music she possibly can, leaving flamboyant personal extravagance out it. Music!
I think we can all agree Sina sets the gold standard for musical excellence. She’s cute, but she doesn’t act cute. When we perceive her ability and who she is, something like that counts. She’s the real deal. She deserves to be admired for making music about the music and not about herself. My god, woman-“Brava! Brava!”
That's exactly how I see the likable Sina too !
For example, when she puts on appropriate clothing for a song, it's not an effect on her part, but rather an appreciation of the song that reflects that era.
(Unfortunatetly, as a German, my English isn't that good, please excuse me)
Thank you very much for your kind words!

Ich möchte mich auch einmal bei dir bedanken für die wunderschöne Musik! @@sina-drums
Wish I could click like a hundred times. I have noticed the Same as you was speaking about. I played drums for over 40 years and cannot play freebird as well as she does. Someone ought to get artimus pyle to comment on this.
And some people think it's a guitarists song. Don't forget the drummer working their ass off at the back!
One thing Sina has done for me over the years is make me appreciate just how good the drummers of my youth were.
Most songs would not works without the driummer working and keeping all the freaks together
I felt the same way when she did Iron Man.
You don't see many overweight rock drummers. They are getting a full fledged cardio workout every time they play.
@@jimmym3352 IMO, Bill Ward is one of the most underappreciated drummers in rock and metal. He did some truly groundbreaking and amazing things in Black Sabbath.
Two things about this amazingly talented, most beautiful young lady;
a) she knows where to find good music
and
b) she is unquestionably of the finest drummers this world has ever known...
Now that's the way to do it!! As a lifelong Skynyrd fan since the beginning gotta say young lady that no one has ever played it better than you!
Amazing drumer, one of the best of this generation.
Girl, that's a work out! If the new British neighbors didn't know a drummer had moved into the neighborhood before, they do now!
Being in the land of the Beatles, I think Sina should do a roof top concert soon.
Hard tune. Tears. We lost those guys so long ago. Thank you for paying respect. You keep on!
You're making me feel old ! I'm oppressed.
I never knew that it was that much drum work in that song.
You killed it!
Holy smokes! I never really appreciated how energetic the drummer's part was in Freebird. Awesome job and thank you.
She killing it with this song, i also play this song very often live back with my band back in the day, the part where you building up to the fast part is always awsome to play, because the energie you can get to get to that part is truly a amazing feeling, 😊
I nearly had a heart attack just watching this!
I'm Italian Lynyard s fans, I'm 70 years old and I think that they'll be proud of your performance
Great to see young people enjoying the great old classics
Im a fan not affiliated with this but if you can buy a Sina Calendar youll love it!
And this is why great music will never die.
Young lady that was amazing. The skynyrd members in heaven are smiling down on you. Johnny and his guys gotta see this. Please keep playing.
She does justice.
@@joemcauliffe2360 Artemis Pyle is still alive and still performing. He was drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Love it...one of my favorites! What a workout...the sweat, barefoot work, hair just adds to it!
Women don't sweat, the glisten.
Yep, I love how it makes her skin sparkle.. Plus barefoot with wild hair creates blazing rock n roll vibe!
You look like you are really enjoying this cover. Love the little smile in there! Never realized anything about the drums in this song with all those guitarists but yes the song has great drumming.
Paying tribute to one of the best periods in music and doing it proud. You rock.
As a guy who aspired to be a drummer once upon a time, all I can say is WOW!😊
I don't think there is anyone else on UA-cam that works harder than Sina. What commit.
I'm 75, and even though I have seen LS perform live (before and after the plane crash), some 5 or 6 times in my life ... that was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen and experienced. Their passing, and your passionate talent, made it so juxtaposed for me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, young lady.
Haven't seen traditional grip in a Skynyrd song since Artimus! Well done😊
Lynyrd Skynyrd lives on, generation after generation.
What more could one ask of such a talented entertainer than this mighty performance. Such a class act. Thank you for the music Sina.
I think this one will go down as a Sina legend! It's easily one of my favorite performances. The artistry, the energy, the longevity. Like a semi truck working it's way through 12 plus gears, the drumming never lets up and keeps getting more intricate. Talk about taking it up a notch. Just when you think it's wrapped up, comes another gear.
Sina has nice Calenders very nice pics 20 bucks i got one in USA in a week or so
@@Brian-zp1df Yes thanks. I currently have one. I think we all wish we could be Nils Neumann😂

Holy shit! That was phenomenal!!!!!!
So much work goes into playing drums, particularly at this high level and song choice. And don't forget those base pedals... BOTH of them. Amazing !
I’m flying above the clouds now, with Lynyrd and Sina, and what a view this is.❤❤
I like that, then you are FREE BIRDS, which unfortunatetly I can't say about myself !

Breathtaking performance. My favorite of Sina’s career. . .and that’s saying something
It's so great to see a young drummer hold the stick properly in her left hand. I haven't seen that in a long time. It's how I learned to play over 60 years ago and the way all drummers did back then.
Not always. In her Sultans of Swing video she holds it with a full grip for at least part of the song;. Regardless, I just love to watch her play. If only live someday.
Sent chills up and down my spine. Sina at her best. Bravo!
I close my eyes and it's April 2, 1975 at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport. La. They came back after an amazing couple of hours and did an 18 minute encore of Free Bird. Your drumming is priceless on this. That driving beat is what I remember most from that great finale, and you have nailed it solid. Thank you for the great memory and now I can listen as long as they let this one stay up on UA-cam.
Wow, that's amazing. Would have loved to be there!

Her smile. Sina's smile. That is the best part. That's when she knows, that was all there was.
Man that was a workout. You've got me sweating just watching you pound that one out. Freakin' impressive. Good job Sina. That is a classic of the Rock genre and you've made a lot of American Southerners very happy.
Absolutely fabulous cover of one of the greatest and most electrifying American rock songs ever!! And definitely a very fitting tribute to the amazing drummer Artimus Pyle who not only survived the tragic plane crash in 1977, but was able to escape the wreckage and run to find help for the other survivors despite his injuries. His shocking appearance made the people at the farmhouse he found think he was an escaped convict at first, he's a true hero 👍
At the beginning of Freebird it was definitely the calm before the storm. Incredible artistry.
The lead up vocal and then the percussion and guitar in Free Bird hooked me when I was a teen and Sina, you totally rocked this and took the original to a new level! Thank you!
Sina , with Skynyrd being one of my all time favorite bands.
I must say this was truly Amazing.
Great Job !!!!
Wow, you did a fantastic job of covering free bird. I remember back in 1971. I’ve lived in Jacksonville Florida all of my life. I saw them live in the dive bar back in 1971 and I knew right then in there they were gonna be big really big, thank you for posting this. You are a fantastic drummer, young lady😎👍
O.K. young lady, first thing first this song is from the soundtrack of my youth. Per your usual you nailed it. BRAVO!!!! Thank lady.............. YOU are getting better & better. I'm not sure if it is because you are gaining more experience or getting a bit older. Either way, We benefit. Please keep working hard on your craft!!!
Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers set the standard for southern rock!!! Thank a truck load!!!!!!
You made my day Sina.

As a big Skynyrd fan, I must say that this cover is over the top. Never sounded better and in no way could any live concert ever look this good while sounding amazing. Thanks Sina Doll, for the hard work that you do for the fans. Keep us posted on your move.

Nu, du bist ein Trommelkrieger! Das war ausgezeichnet!! Vielen Dank!!
Wow! Perfection. You are an excellent drummer. Truly talented..That was incredible!
I’m familiar with her playing but wasn’t expecting this when I clicked on it. Great. So much more to it than I thought. And all that going on with the kick, great cymbals. And that section from 7:30 onwards wow.
Was für ein Song,Sina was du da ablieferst ist einfach nur Wahnsinn. Kann ich nicht begreifen wie man so Schlagzeug spielen kann.
Reminds me of July 6, 1976 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta when they recorded most of "One More from the Road". What a show! Thanks so much Sina for bringing back that memory. Really took me back.
What can I say, one of my all time favourite songs played by my all time favourite drummer, showing why she is considered the best of all, and good looks thrown in the mix, ❤, rock on sina,
I am here to tell you, this little lady is on fire!!
Wow, all the tempo changes and the workout. Holy...! 💜
Hello from Jacksonville, Florida - home of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Wonderful performance!!!
I thought, all nine minutes? Then it started. Too good not to watch the lot. (Eight minutes later, tears of joy on my cheeks. Incredible, thank you.)
Perfection Sina! Artimus is proud! Many have tried, you Rocked it girl!
Absolutely breathtaking performance! I'm unable to find the proper adjectives to define my appreciation of your talent, and with your sharing it with us!
Sina barefoot with a tan nailing Free Bird! She's the goddess, Keeper of the Beat! Resurrecting Classic Rock and Roll! 😂❤❤❤❤❤ I love her!
What a talented person you are…and my god at 68 years old this is the song I always play good and loud…
I always say, "It should be good. There's 5 guys playing lead. But damn there's only 1 drummer! Outstanding 👏🙌👏🙌👏🙌
Ronnie and his mules.
This song is in the movie "The Devil's Rejects". Too beautiful interpretation ! Thank you Sina !
Ronnie, Alan and Gary are smiling down on you right now. Bravo!!!
WOW, that was a really impressive performance! It takes some pretty good stamina to get through that long and intense a song!
Two thumbs up 👍👍as far as they can go for this magnificent take on this Southern American Rock favorite-somewhere out there,Bob Burns is beaming with pride and joy!!!! You are an incredibly talented and skillful musician of the very highest order!!! Keep up the exceptional work,Sina!!!
A bit symbolical that just after graduating and leaving school behind Sina decides to post Freebird. But also a good opportunity to congratulate you on graduating on your own channel and wishing you all the best in your future.
I hope Artimus sees this. I think he would have a smile on his face.😊
Bob Burns was the drummer on this song, but Artimus learned it. After Burns had a mental breakdown and left the band. Like Pyles. But he wasn’t as good as Bob Burns, IMO
Give Burns his credit. He created the drums beats on this song.
@@fredpace7514 I always thought Artimus was the better drummer for their live performances. He hit a lot harder and really drove the rest of the band. Look at Freebird, Oakland 1977, Artimus was a beast on this song live.
The drummer has always been my favorite to watch in concert. Neil Peart to me was one of the greatest but this lady is awesome. Takes a lot of motivation and stamina to do this. Amazing ability
I love the tempo change in the song. Looking forward to next drum cover.

You're an amzing drummer, Sina! 👏👏👏
Artimus would be proud.
So would Bob Burns
I am from Asheville NC, sometimes you see his van around town.
Well...if that isn't world class drumming, I don't know what is.
sina, I think you played this here better than Bob Burns or Artimus, You are a Born Person with A Huge amount of Talent, Keep your video's coming..
Don't agree, look at YT video of Freebird, Oakland 1977, Artimus killed it and that was live - no retakes.
Congratulations, Sina! This song required as much effort and endurance as a real marathon.
This just proves that, in addition to being talented, you are also in good physical shape, and I almost forgot to comment on the likely high heat environment in your studio.
Perfect Sina your magnificent drumming rules the song.
For obvious reasons I never really noticed the drum work on this song. Thanks for giving me a fresh perspective on this classic.
O.M.G. 😮
Absolutely brilliant Sina. I've been very lucky to see LS twice in the late 70s when they were at their peak. This song will live with me forever!👏👏👏👏😘
Wow that was great! Always blow me away!
Drummer's brains work faster by 2 to 4 times that of normal people. A 2 drummer is good, a 3 drummer excellent, a 4 drummer is rare and absolutely superb. You Sina are a 4. You are on the level of Niel Pert and John Bonham and Artemis Pyle. People don't realize that you have to be at least two counts ahead of the song to be on time. To be four counts ahead makes you superior because you are leading the song not just keeping time. This is one of your finest pieces of work, it was challenging. BRAVO!!!
That was amazing! You are definitely a rockstar. ❤
I wish I had a time machine, go back in time and show Lynyrd Skynyrd this clip and blow their minds right out of the water! 😁
Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird is the Anthem of Southern Rock in the US. Your Powerful, Passionate, Precision on this track was OUTSTANDING! As the song progressed, you could see the energy you put into this cover. There really is no limit on your ability on the Drums, Sina. Just Brilliant!!

Some musicians play the drums. Sina is a drummer. She is totally one with whatever song she plays. Man this was a perfect song to showcase her talent. 50 years ago she would have been a rock star with one of the famous bands from that era.
I always felt that the guitarists had a 'tough' time at the end of this song, but wow, the drummer gets one heck of a workout too. A person needs some serious energy to play that. Bravo :)
One of the absolute best songs in existence
I saw them play at Rich Stadium in Buffalo on a revolving stage back in the seventies with James Gang and Emerson,Lake and Palmer. Something I will never forget along with tailgate party and general admission! Soft matting on the field and a warm sunny day. People were so kind to each other and I also got to get real close to the stage as well. One of the best life experiences for me ever!!! Never to be forgotten as it is deeply etched in my soul as well as my brain!!!!! I only wish that type of human generosity could be experienced by everyone in today’s day and age along with all the kindness instead of today’s caution and competition.
Sweetie, you are one of the best drummers I have ever seen. And' you just made the guys of Skynyrd happy and very proud of you. 👍👍👍
If there was any doubt that you are not the greatest drummer on social media in 2024 it is now gone after watching and hearing the absolute God gifted talent that you have on that drum kit. It isn't just the beat for beat you recreate of Pyle's Free Bird, but it's the little stick noises and rim hits that adds that hidden flavor that only such an advanced state of playing could be produced here. It's not just Sina playing this song note for note, it's the mind blowing little things that she naturally adds with it that makes her playing special to such a sophisticated state that it's simply outstanding and only a very limited few can replicate !
Sina you are straight up one "bad ass mofo"!
Great comment; the little things are what sets Sina apart. The only thing I would add is that Sina has been the most viewed drummer on UA-cam since at least 2019 and this year alone through June she has had 21 million more views than #2 and 24 million more than any other female.
@@gregbr100 Someone could also have just 2 views and have God gifted talent. Yes she has earned her views.

I've always felt the frantic pace of the last 1/2 of this song ... but never as much as watching how busy you were. You remain unparalleled IMO :)
This is a dream come true! I grew up in the same town as the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and I saw them in concert just after they released this masterpiece in 1973. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that over two generations later someone would even remember it and play it so well. Thanks again for you and your friends for keeping the greatest music alive. You're a peach.
