Nice to see young women come to full flower like this. For my girls it was sports and academics. But for me playing the music I grew up with just puts it all together in some ineffable way.

Absolutely fabulous cover of one of the greatest and most electrifying American rock songs ever!! And definitely a very fitting tribute to the amazing drummer Artimus Pyle who not only survived the tragic plane crash in 1977, but was able to escape the wreckage and run to find help for the other survivors despite his injuries. His shocking appearance made the people at the farmhouse he found think he was an escaped convict at first, he's a true hero 👍
I think it’s worth mentioning that Sina Döering, drum superstar, has a special quality that goes unrecognized. Curiously, it makes me love her work all that much more, and it’s this: She doesn’t perform for the camera. That seems like an odd thing to say about someone who video tapes her truly outstanding drum performances. But here’s the thing: She makes her music not about her; she makes it about the music! She doesn’t stare at the camera, acting cutesy. Her performances never comes off as, “Look at me; see how entertaining I am.” To me, Sina is one of the most brilliant, down-to-earth musicians you’ll ever have the pleasure of seeing. No ‘glamming it up’ for the audience; the spotlight is not on her looks or how enticing she can make herself appear. No, the focus is on her technique, her timing, her precision, her extraordinary skill, and her intense concentration on musical perfection. She leaves her ego at home; she comes to work prepared to make the best music she possibly can, leaving flamboyant personal extravagance out it. Music! I think we can all agree Sina sets the gold standard for musical excellence. She’s cute, but she doesn’t act cute. When we perceive her ability and who she is, something like that counts. She’s the real deal. She deserves to be admired for making music about the music and not about herself. My god, woman-“Brava! Brava!”

I knew when I saw the name of the song, the drumming would be absolutely incredible. I was not wrong. Fantastic, Sina !!!!!
I second that
I'm 75, and even though I have seen LS perform live (before and after the plane crash), some 5 or 6 times in my life ... that was one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen and experienced. Their passing, and your passionate talent, made it so juxtaposed for me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, young lady.
By far your Best cover Yet! Bob Burns would be proud! Well Done young Lady! Well Done!
Sina Doering... young lady... you just drum covered my favorite song of all time... Free Bird is not considered a drum song, it is a 3 guitar song... however you rock it!!! ... and I am so happy you recorded this!!!!!
My favorite also, I've waited for her cover.
Man that was a workout. You've got me sweating just watching you pound that one out. Freakin' impressive. Good job Sina. That is a classic of the Rock genre and you've made a lot of American Southerners very happy.
Made this northern european happy too ! :)
O.K. young lady, first thing first this song is from the soundtrack of my youth. Per your usual you nailed it. BRAVO!!!! Thank lady.............. YOU are getting better & better. I'm not sure if it is because you are gaining more experience or getting a bit older. Either way, We benefit. Please keep working hard on your craft!!!
Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers set the standard for southern rock!!! Thank a truck load!!!!!!
I lost my brother, this was hia favourite song ever. Thank you for reminding me of him. You were amazing on this track, and that buildup is legendary.
Wow she feelin it !
Damn, just a whirlwind of hair, sticks, and feet for minutes on end. I'm exhausted just watching.
Yup! Frreee as a Birrrd, my
💦🍑💦! :-))
Kudos to any 'Byrd' that
can go for 9&½ minutes
without dripping down
to nuth'n - with No Wind
to cool off - especially
swooping it hOme, at
the grueling end, beg-
inning at the 4'56" mark
and picking up further
to a measly sweat stain
at the 6'30" mark, to eeE
-fectively, Fuumes at the
7'24" mark for the Aaab
-Sole🎶OOtely exhaust
-ed . . . str..rRRrr..retch.
She was playing so fast, it was like watching Animal, from the Muppets.. LOL. I say that with all RESPECT!
WOW, that was a really impressive performance! It takes some pretty good stamina to get through that long and intense a song!
I used to drum at Sina's level in my early 30's. Do you know what she feeling? PAIN!!! Look at her face near the end. She is high as a kite on pain reducing endorphins like runners high. Drumming is PAIN !!!! Girl Power!!!
As a guy who aspired to be a drummer once upon a time, all I can say is WOW!😊
Never realized the drums in this song were so complex. Well done!
Same!
Bob Burns & Artimus Pyle are highly under-rated! Sina did great!
In retrospect I never paid as much as much attention to the drumming in the song as I did the guitar playing.
But now I can see how much great drumming there is in Freebird and can appreciate it much more.
Thank you Sina, well done.
And some people think it's a guitarists song. Don't forget the drummer working their ass off at the back!
One thing Sina has done for me over the years is make me appreciate just how good the drummers of my youth were.
Most songs would not works without the driummer working and keeping all the freaks together
I felt the same way when she did Iron Man.
You don't see many overweight rock drummers. They are getting a full fledged cardio workout every time they play.
@@JimmyMon666 IMO, Bill Ward is one of the most underappreciated drummers in rock and metal. He did some truly groundbreaking and amazing things in Black Sabbath.
For obvious reasons I never really noticed the drum work on this song. Thanks for giving me a fresh perspective on this classic.
O.M.G. 😮
She has just got better and better, fantastic drummer, fantastic musician.
Wow, Sina Drums absolutely crushes this cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's iconic 'Free Bird'! The drums are so energetic and precise, it's like a masterclass in rock drumming. The way Sina Drums captures the spirit of the original while adding her own flair is truly impressive. The amount of energy she pours into this song is truly phenomenal ! Keep keeping the spirit of rock 'n' roll alive and well!
Is there more cymbal in the original
I just sit here and watch her play those drums. She is very good. She could be the next drummer for Lynard Skynyrd or start a band of her own. Keep playing those drums. You got this made Sina , Mark Riley from Bryan Texas ❤❤
Dammit child! You just nailed Free Bird. That says a great deal about your talent. LS was in my opinion the most tightly controlled band of my age. No mistakes! Ronny wouldn't have it. He had a temper. That said. I believe that music is life. And I have never seen a drummer enjoy music as much as you do. I will give you a gift. You will know when it's needed. Just words. [ illigitimi non carborundum] for when the feeding starts. If it hasn't already. Good luck doll.
What can I say, one of my all time favourite songs played by my all time favourite drummer, showing why she is considered the best of all, and good looks thrown in the mix, ❤, rock on sina,
Ronnie, Alan and Gary are smiling down on you right now. Bravo!!!
Free Bird by the band Lynyrd Skynyrd is a global rock classic and Sina reproduces this song by playing the drums faithfully to the original! Congratulations on the video and for gracing us with your talent!
Absolutely brilliant Sina. I've been very lucky to see LS twice in the late 70s when they were at their peak. This song will live with me forever!👏👏👏👏😘
You made my day Sina.
Lynyrd Skynyrd lives on, generation after generation.
In the Minecraft memes let me guess
Awesome that was truly amazing you rock sina queen of drums ❤️
Sina you live for this music and it truly shows up in your performances. After all these years of enjoying your work my jaw still drops at how talented you are. Thanks so much for all you do for your fans especially during this very busy exciting time in your life. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for sharing with all of us. Your choices of covers blows UA-cam away!! I can not say enough to how amazing your playing is and how much joy I get from watching you pound the skins to some of the greatest music of all time. Thank you
Ronnie Van Zant and Bob Burns would be in awe of your drumming skills! Sweet Home Alabama always enjoys seeing your videos.
What a talented person you are…and my god at 68 years old this is the song I always play good and loud…
Incredible, magnificent, phenomenal! The build over 9 minutes to that amazing controlled beautiful frenzy work of art on the cymbals was a fantastic masterpiece! What a treat, thank you so much!
I saw 'em back in 75. Artimus and his cymbals was a memory that's never left me. You captured that wonderfully!
This is a dream come true! I grew up in the same town as the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and I saw them in concert just after they released this masterpiece in 1973. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that over two generations later someone would even remember it and play it so well. Thanks again for you and your friends for keeping the greatest music alive. You're a peach.
Two thumbs up 👍👍as far as they can go for this magnificent take on this Southern American Rock favorite-somewhere out there,Bob Burns is beaming with pride and joy!!!! You are an incredibly talented and skillful musician of the very highest order!!! Keep up the exceptional work,Sina!!!
Keep a cranking it up girl, Artumas Pile would be blessed to have you play his style. Thank you young lady I was blessed.
Sina, I love that hippie style blouse. You have a flower child in your musician soul. God bless you.
Hello from Jacksonville, Florida - home of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Wonderful performance!!!
Wow, all the tempo changes and the workout. Holy...! 💜
Yeah she may as well move on to black sabbath and SOAD if she doesn't like tempo monotony
As a Southern man, Hell yea!
She can play for any top rock and roll band out there! With her behind the drums, she would bring any of the best bands even more success than they already have!!!!
Sina - This was the anthem of my high school graduating calss (1978), and our Senior Prom song. You just put a big smile on this old American man's face. Thanks for doing this!
Bob Burns IS looking down from heaven with a big ole smile on his face.
