I`m interested in that belt sander. Would you mind sharing the maker and model? I think you did a good job at explaining why not to replicate it carelessly and there were enough disclaimers so community guidelines are unlikely to be violated
It's a 1x30 from Harbor Freight. The brand is Centeral Machinery. As far as I know that's the only model they make with a belt that size. It's about 60 bucks, I've got one my self and I love it. I highly recommend it for the price
fun electrical & plumbing facts = 36.78 mm/1.448" ID, 41.6 mm/1.638" OD (IMC) 1&1/4" intermediate metallic conduit can be sanded & if you add layers of duct tape, a 1.315" OD , 1.049" ID SCH 40 1" pipe, can "work" as a 37 to 26.5 mm adapter starting point & a sanded 1.05" OD, .742"ID sch80 3/4" pipe 13/16 drilled to a 2 inch depth can work as a 26.5 mm to 12 gauge flare adapter starting point & fun ATF facts if you want to fire non signal rounds like 12 gauge the barrel length must be 18" or more & overall length must be 26" or more so its not able to be reclassified as a short barrel gun, so make a 26" barrel
The only stupid thing you did was thinking the ammunition (it being blunt and all) would penetrate rubber or wood, the rest of the stuff quite good honestly.
37mm is better.. Lower chamber pressure; a lot lower. Ammo is cheaper; a lot cheaper. 37mm launchers are easier to make because of the size (bigger things have looser tolerances). AND most importantly it cannot be a "firearm" or DD unless you have naughty ammo. Nice simple tool though. Now sleave it down to 13mm and shove a BMG round in it. \m/
Due to the nutmost respect for cunnuttidy guy lines... I will make my own irresponsibly dangerous toy without the parts you "glossed over" anyway. But its the thought that counts hey? See I'm just looking for what others did because my ricket luncher for the boat safety laws needs to be cooler than the orange plastic thing and my rounds want to accept a parachute system to keep aloft higher and longer due to where I do my yachting in shallow swampy water. But i dont understand the danger so off I go.
