@@lunerdytrenlal3 I don't think that's it. If he says nothing, he physically cannot tell a lie or a truth. I feel it is more the fact that Pinocchio is a literal child In his tale, and children really like their superheros. They really do.

I love the theme in the background
So these are some pretty interesting twists on some classic characters. Some are kind of obvious reversals, but I also like some of the clever ones. Like Sleeping Beauty being a Mantis, which basically plays with the idea of a Prince coming to kiss the Princess to wake her up, but a Mantis kills and eats their mates, sooooo it’s a big lure for food.
The Peter Pan mixed with Snow White threw me off at first, seemed random to be the only level(I think) that mixes two stories together, and they felt random. But when you stop and think about it, it’s super clever. It made both of the protagonists villains as they were mixed with the other character’s villain. Snow White mixed with Captain Hook which maybe wasn’t as in depth, but I love Peter Pan mixed with the Evil Queen. It actually makes sense, as the Queen is obsessed with being the most beautiful, which would entail looking young, and Peter Pan is the boy who never grew up. So you basically make a Peter Pan obsessed with being forever young(when he mentioned not harming his fair skin during the fight was the real tip off that he was mixed with the Queen and her motives), they even did it so by the end he turned much older and disgusting like the Queen did.
The thing I like in peter pan is that he lock himself in a giant and dark bubble. That can be a representation of the syndrome of Peter pan (to be short, the creator of the character lost his brother in an accident and his mother fall into insanity, leaving him alone. To suffer less and get away from these atrocities, he decided to locked himself and be a child in his head).
You forgot Peter Pan also possessed the Pied Piper reference.
To be honest that's what makes this game completely interesting. Because it mixes classics together from 2 stories It's the same. time
I was also not expecting Pinocchio to be a mech, which can be considered a puppet in the sense that it needs someone to control it.

Red Riding Hood : a hunter with a thirst of blood
Chicken : a dragon with the look of a goose vomiting explosive eggs
Giant Blunderbore : wife of a tyrannic king who is a gigantic doll.
Snow white : captain with a mask
Peter pan : a demon locked himself in a dark bubble with his shadow (a smart representation of the syndrome of peter pan).
Pinocchio : a golem made of shipwreck controlled by his father/doctor who hates fairies.
The little mermaid : a collection who want people to be amazed by her body.
Princess : a Mantis disguised as a princess to eat any people who tried to "rescue" her (that is smart because mantis actually eating their husbands when they are pregnant. this girl is actually waiting for a husband and when he's ducked, she grab him and eat him).
Dragon : a transformation of Merlin to get rid of the nightmares.
Fairy : a bowl of light with a girl looking form. I personally think that this character is the representation of a growing up Alice.
The ideas for these bosses are so amazing. The animations are not impressive, but the story still nice.
Actually it is a goose, not chicken, Snow White fused with Captain Hook, and Peter Pan was the Pied Piper for luring children
Peter Pan is the only character that is accurate to his original story

I think Lighty's supposed to be a fairy, but idk if she's related to any particular fairy tale, and I need to check again to see if I'm missing anyone

Ah, i get it, lighty is the incarnation of those little lights you plug on the wall for the child room not be in complete darkness, she was abandoned like teddy, thus how he can say he know where she came from, THEY are old, worn and tired, the BOTH of them where there when she was young and left behind when she didn't need them anymore
When teddy in the final battle when talking with her, he called her lightbulb, that where it clicked in my head
Teddy said he didn't do anything special
He just.... turn off the light
When you keep the light on at night but the bills start to stack up

So, from what I interpreted, the guardians had adapted to the nightmarish state of Alicia's dream world by becoming these monsters and villains in order to protect her from Lighty. Just like how animals adapt to their enviornment to survive. If I misunderstood something, let me know.
Or like how a body's immune system acts up when it detects a disease

I was surprised by all these twisted tales of Grimm's Fairy Tales.
Red Riding Hood became the hunter with a bloodthirst.
The "Chicken" was just a machine, meant to give and give.
Jack became king of the giants, and took one as a wife... then developed a taste for human flesh.
Snow White instead of being an ignorant girl, took to the high seas, gathering her crew of dwarves
Peter Pan became a necromancer and performed forbidden rituals for immortality. Killing the Lost Boys for the Philosopher's Stone.
Geppeto asking for a child, but when the heavens denied him his wish, he made one. Turning him mad and disconnected
Aerial desired to walk, but no one helped, so she charmed everyone with her voice. Enslaved all to do her bidding.
Aurora laid in wait for the one to wake her up, only to have a trap setup for prey to come to her.
Merlin turned dark, knowing that the light was trying to hurt his charge.
And Lighty... Tinkerbell that had enough with being toyed with, so she turned arcane, and wrought destruction on the Dreamlands.
Man... the villains' in these stories just make it a nice setting around a campfire.
Welp, you either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain.
Actually, Lighty may Actually be a representation of a nightlight that Alicia had but grew out of. She was a ment to give security in the darkness, but now bears the darkness as a weapon.

By looks of the ending it looks like the little girl was in a coma tortured in her long sleep and teddy helped her to wake up

The way Geppetto speaks when you arrive to fight him sort of reminds me of Count Batula from Conker’s Bad Fur Day. I think it’s the way they sound when they talk, and they might have similar speech patterns there too.

I'm getting some Madoka Magica vibe here. The so-called magical partner betraying the hero and abandoning him/her. I was expecting a much darker ending: The real villains would be abusive parents that Teddy would be powerless against.

i was able to make it to her without the flying ability by jumping up a certain area and now i’m stuck and cannot go back so have to start all over….be careful to not make this mistake :(

good news you do not need to restart the game, you can go back uo that hill you fell down, try a few times to jump up and eventually you will land halfway up and get a chance to quickly jump again. I spammed the jump button and also used the bow to shoot, and somehow it allowed to to jump again and get back.to the toon What a relief, thought I'd have to restart the entire game again.
its not easy going back up, but its possible. 2 minutes of jumping up against the hill and I could go back to other areas of the map to get the dust

Who else thought Lighty pierced Teddy by accident? Like, it's not easy to orientate when you're inside someone the whole time.
I thought she wanted to deliver the final blow with Teddy, because she never did it ("I wanna share some feelings with you!") but she forgot that she was fueling his blades and accidentally messed up.
Like, she was sooo nice to him all our journey, I even managed to emotionally connect them (which doesn't happen often, I don't know why)
I guess that could be even more misleading to us too. She's not really such a nice little fairy...

Also for some reason I connect with this game, as a person that has high functioning autism with High anxiety and occasional night terrors I have a whole army of stuffed animals that are my guardians including a bear that my dad has given me that he used to have when he was a child and they all serve to keep me safe. so far what I have on my bed are two dragons, a bear, A cat pillow, a raccoon pillow, a stuffed Marinie (Pokémon) and a stuffed stitch so yeah let’s just say that if I do have any nightmares they are going to be ducked ten ways from Sunday 🤣

If a sequel was made, it should be a beat-em-up game with a 2 Player with the villain being a corrupted version of the girl Teddy's trying to protect.
It's a free roam, open world 2d adventure. It's books and toys trying to corrupt the girl and Teddy will be the one to free her

I think Lighty isn't a part of the faerie tales at all. My own thought is that it represents what the "outside world" says and harsh "reality." Opinions, words spoken and unspoken, etc.

This game has been pretty damn awesome to me. Some of the controls are kinda funky but still an overall good game.

The only thing I can say to improve this game is to make the boss attacks faster to increase difficulty

This game looks interesting but the bosses are much more underwhelming than I thought, especially Pinocchio and the Dragon.
Why do you need a very difficult boss in a game where some silly teddy fights in a dream?
@@zhuiwie8488 My point is that the bosses are too simple not that they are easy. Just take a look, almost every boss is three phases where they only add about one new attack at the end. I'm saying that the bosses don't do as much as they could or really should with their concepts.

in disney's edition of peter pan tinkerbell did try and straight up kill wendy in jealousy
the twist made me sad and hyped at thje same time why could lighty do that?
Lighty felt hurt and betrayed because Alicia didn’t need her anymore (it seems that Lighty is a nightlight, like the dream guardians are toys). Therefore, she decided to take revenge on Alicia, unlike Teddy, who felt pretty bitter at the beginning but still cared deep down. Basically, Lighty began hating Alicia because she cast her aside. I hope that this helps.
