Something interesting that isnt anywhere except the wiki, luck affects room rewards lower luck tends to drop less pickups and chests, while higher luck tends to drop more chests. So low luck decreases pickups while high luck may or may not increase pickups

i do think you should get external item descriptions the more i watch. i used to not use it but used it once to try out a modded character that sort of needed it that my friend wanted me to try and i just kinda never turnt it off because it is very convenient. usually i dont need to look but sometimes it does remind me that an item got changed or has a niche effect and its just kinda nice to have glass eye and a couple other new damage ups were added in one of the patches to help round the boss and golden chest pool a bit which was real nice also; bless you

haven't played any binding of isaac, the aesthetics aren't really my thing but it's been really fun to watch these runs!
Yeah it can be a bit jarring especially due to the thematic nature of the game but I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it :)
