Excited for a little return to Brotato! Your videos made me buy the game (and plenty of other games) and are what made me sub, so I'm always happy when there's something new in Brotato for you to explore.
24 weapons is INSANE, this tato is 100% meant to be a challenge, I think it would be hard to get 24 of the same red weapon even in endless and with an early anvil, it's just too much, in this run you even invested a decent bit on exp gain and didn't even REACH 24 weapons

I will have to get back into Brotato before the dlc comes out. I think I still have 6 characters that I didn't beat level 5 with yet. I had no idea about the dlc or this update till I saw this video.
I think the unexplained range increase might be a byproduct of having so many weapons since it seemed they were held further away in a wider and wider circle around you as you got more weapons and that feels like it could unintentionally (or intentionally but not mentioned) increase melee range?
Also to be fair some characters require you to stand still. I was playing one character the other day on my Switch where it couldn't attack unless it was standing still. Edit: it was the Soldier that can't attack while moving.
for purposes of endless I would like to know if this gives normal level ups after 24 weapons bc that would rlly make-or-break if this is a good endless character
Wasn't there a modded character that was very similar to this? I feel like I've seen something quite similar before. Cool if true; always good to take good mod ideas and make them official. Edit: Retro has confirmed my suspicions.
Yes, I don't remember the name but it's from the mod Eientei and it's based on the character Sumireko Usami. You start with 2 weapons and gain 1 on level up and have reduced exp gain and reduced exp mod. It's wayyy better than the baby. Not getting bonus on lvl up is wild, you have 0 stats and 0 economy
The Baby has -20% shop prices now. But even before, I was able to have good and fun runs without leaning into sticks. For example have 20+ different weapons and then pick up a Spider, it's quite crazy :)
@@gargaduk Gotta make it to the very low chance to find spider. The fact they added a shop discount already tells me that blobfish has felt its undertuned as well
Just to be clear, I know you really didn't want to/ have the time to turn it into a properly functioning release and put it on the workshop explicitly with that caveat, but it's such a cool concept with a lot of potential. I'm a bit sad that it's in this half broken state

Banking on blobfish to make an official version is fair enough though, I really hope it'll happen.

Yeah I got a wave 11 anvil and didn't even have all reds by wave 30.

baby is bad. As is sticks are the only weapon that will work on baby. I think leave the xp negative gain but remove the loss of stat gain.
