R.I.P George Michael , Wham is where he began , they had at least 10 UK hits before George went solo . Wham Rap , Youngs Guns , Freedom , I'm your man , Last Christmas , everything she wants , club tropicana , the edge of heaven , blue , and one of my all time favs Bad Boys .
This is exactly the one and only George Michael, such a talented amazing artist and an even greater human being . I am glad that you are enjoying the music of George !!!!
You have to check out his duet at the Apollo with Stevie Wonder. George was a massive fan of Stevie’s and he got the honor at the tender age of 21-22 to sing with Stevie on stage. Absolutely amazing performance.
In The 1980s my friend's Girlfriend worked for CBS Records and she said they had just signed up 2 Boys and they played at the record companies; Christmas Party and that was Wham and the rest is history. :) Many hits but when George Michael went solo he ruled the World with some of the most beautiful songs I have heard in my 66 years in England like "Jesus To A Child"/" Cowboys And Angels"/ "Kissing A Fool" etc.... George Michael R.I.P...
He was a genius. He did several duets with the biggest. Please try „If I told you that“ with Whitney Houston or „ I knew you were waiting“ with Aretha Franklin.
George Michael was the genius of wham. If that was a group up there he put them there. The guy with the guitar and Michael were wham. But George was more than a triple threat. He did everything. He wrote the song played all the instruments including organ piano and synthesizers. George was just fire. Look at that head of hair. He just had good hair. And in the female society he was a sex symbol thru the 80’s and the 90’s.
andrew and george both wrote this geroge took inspo from andrew after misspelling "wake me up before you go" on a sign that was meant for his dad to wake him up instead he spelled it "wake me up before before you go" andrew was involed in writting too and was pretty much the anchor for wham since he is the one who wanted to start a band with geroge and helped george come out his comfort zone and show how much potential he has. without andrew wham wouldn't be a thing
S and M- you guys are spot on. That is George Michael and the group is Wham! Wham! did both Careless whisper and wake me up before you gogo. Great reaction and good job recognizing it’s the same band!
Yes, this is the musical genius George Michael. Wrote, did the music and produced all the music. I could go into detail about George, but maybe read about him. He wrote "Careless Whisper" at 17 years old on a bus. When he went solo, one of his first songs was with Aretha, who he said was his idol, "I knew you were waiting for me". Aretha and Clive Davis finally got George to do it with her. He said he was just too scared. He was only 22 or 23 at the time. That song boosted Aretha's career, it went to number 1 in the US and UK and earned them the grammy for best duet. I think the year was 86. George has done duets with the best of them. Stevie, Aretha, Beyonce, Whitney (which was tremendous), Queen, Elton, Garth Brooks, etc. etc. etc. My favorite will always be the one with Mary J. Blige, "As" written by Stevie Wonder. There have always been great artists, but they were always looking for the great song, the great music and that great producer. The difference in George Michael was he did it all himself, wrote, produced, did the music for all his songs. Many of them are called "masterpieces". My daughter always listened to WHAM and introduced me to them. I'm 71 and still listen to George Michael along with James Ingram everyday. I love your reactions.
Great reaction! What a fun song. I've been watching several reactions to this song, and everyone gets hooked well before the first chorus. Great build up to the first chous, and it just keeps going.
Just occurred to me...this song has something to teach any married couple having trouble. GO DANCING! Tango, Texas Two Step, Breakdancing, ballroom dancing. Have fun
Yes it is George Michael and yes he did sing Careless Whispers....this was my song growing up....always left me feeling good and positive...thank you for reacting to this R.I.P. George Michael miss your voice...miss you...blessings and greetings from New Zealand....xxx
Keep reacting to George Michael! One of the greatest in Europe and even though he wrote so many pop songs - they were so deep (of course also careless wisper ;-)) So for your own soul and heart listen to Spinning the wheel!!! One more try! Father figure! Just mentioning three songs that will touch you! So R.I.P. George Michael! Is still miss you and always will
Hey Shawn and Mel, In case you're wondering about who the members of Wham are It's George Michael and Andrew Ridgley Another Wham song that you should definitely check out is the song "Careless Whisper"
They've already reacted to it and asked if it's the same singer. Yes, it's George Michael; first in the amazingly successful UK group Wham! who had No1 hits in the UK and US, then as a massive solo artist with hits such as Faith and Freedom 90. When he died in 2016, a massive part of pop died, too. He's still my idol. Miss you, George RIP xx
George is THE BEST! If you see this, listen to his rendition of The Long and Winding Road...you will cry! It was in memory of Linda McCartney for a benefit in her honor.
WHAM! Oh my.... those memories! Love my 80's. George Micheal, lead singer, ended up having a solo career. You should do a Reaction to Careless Whisper. RiP George Michael.
This was my favorite song when I was 11 or 12 years old. If you haven't heard it or reacted to it yet, you should do How Will I Know? (1985) by Whitney Houston. I loved that song in my early teens.
They is soooo much more to George 💜 My favourite George duet is 'This is not real love' were George dueted with Mutya Buena (formerly of the brilliant girl band Sugababes) This is not real love is so underrated and never got or gets the recognition it deserves. Give it a listen (no official video for the song)
Love ❤❤ George Michael !!! Thats song was it in the 80's in our school I was in Junior High when this song came out !! Love that song I'm your man by Wham too !!
Yup dat be Jorge Miguel. 😂😂😂 Wham was a duo of George Michael & his boyhood best Andrew Ridgley. They had quite a bit of top songs in the early 80s. George went on to launch his huge solo career in the mid 80s. Great singing artist who left us too soon.
If you like fast ones, check out "Faith" and "I'm your Msn." He did duets with Arethea Franklin, Whitney Houstan, Elton John and Mary J Blige. The one with Whitney is a fast one. If you want a slow romantic song "you and I " done for Prince William and Kate.
Yes George Michael and Andrew Ridgley made up Wham! The band broke up and George went solo. Careless Whisper is a Wham! song featuring George Michael. He wrote the song when he was 16 years old.
This was Whams first big hit in the U.S., they had songs before but this one put them on the map! George Michaels and Andrew Ridgeley were the duo that made up Wham! Careless Whisper was actually a Wham hit although George Michael had a huge solo career with many many hits!❤❤
I don't care if people agree or not, the 80's was THE most fun decade!! George Michael was such a talented man! Check out Kissing a Fool, my personal favorite. I love the short blooper reel at the end of the video!
You must do Every She Wants by Wham also Oh about the title wake me up before you go go… I watched a short documentary given by Andrew Ridgeley and he said when he was in jr or high school he would leave a note for his mother who would leave early for work and he wrote “wake me up before you go..go” that’s it☺️simple and sweet
As parents who delight in children, you have to react to the song "Baby Sittin' Boogie" by Buzz Clifford. I think it was a Rock & Roll hit from 1960 or 1961. You will love it!

He did a duet with Mary J Blige; a remake of ‘As’
George Michael was the genius of wham. If that was a group up there he put them there. The guy with the guitar and Michael were wham. But George was more than a triple threat. He did everything. Freedom-Wham! Is another banger I would love to see S&M react to. It’s off the same album as wake me up before you gogo and careless whisper.
Now look up his version of queen somebody to love. Talk about mind blown 🤯
That voice was out of this world.
S and M- you guys are spot on. That is George Michael and the group is Wham! Wham! did both Careless whisper and wake me up before you gogo. Great reaction and good job recognizing it’s the same band!
