You might consider taking the blades/props off for this repair in the future? Great video! Where do you get the tool to take the screws out, and where did you get those pry tools?
hi my friend. I watched your video last night and thought mmm that's awesome I'd I ever crashed I can get help. guess what? today I crashed and looks like the same back leg and motor broke I mine as well. Ugh. can you fix this? What's the cost and turn around for the repair. I have refresh but don't know if I want to put myself through all that just yet. thanks. any help would be awesome. thx I live in Philadelphia Usa Michael
U should take props off when repairing...also u should have used a soldering braid and taken the old wires completely out. And why hold in your hand to test?. Also flight over water with clients drone!
I'll have to agree with Michael leaving part of the wire mixed in with the solder like that wasn't the best move. Secondly, you should have left more of the wire back where the arm folds giving it more strain relief. If you compare it to the other side you can see there is going to be more flexibility when folding the arm under and less chance of wear and breakage in the future. You had more of the wire near the solder points when the excess should have been back at the arm. Lastly, check and see if you need a new tip on the soldering pencil. It shouldn't have taken that long for the solder to melt.
Could you just cut the wires a few inches from the board , slide heat shrink over each wire, solder wires together, shrink the tape, and Bob's your Uncle.? Thank you for the video, nice to know what is involved, and that parts are available..
Hey! i crashed my mavic to a bush and broke trhee props... im waiting for new props to come on the mail but im not sure are any of my motors broken. What does a broken motor sound like when you spin it without turning the drone on, or how to know is the motor broken?
Hey man I've got a broken mavic front leg. How should I go about getting a part to repair it? I've glued it for the time being and it's quite steady. Should I replace it?
I crashed my Mavic. Now the fan does not come on in the Mavic causing it to over heat and shut off. I have the 'care refresh' plan . Now fighting with DJI with proof before sending it off for repair. I would like to know where the fan is located and is it a easy repair? Thanks
Does anyone have any ideas for this one?.. mavic pro that had a dunk in fresh water now getting ESC status in dji go app; ;( any tips pleeeease contact me :)
I heard the Mavic Pro is using the Phantom 3 motors, specs 2312 960kv 11.1v. If I am dead tomorrow, DJI put a hitman on me for saying it out loud on the internet lol
You should invest invest in either solder braid or a solder sucker. Leaving the old wire remnants and solder is asking for a failure.
Good advice, I will do that in the future
thanks
Excellent.. Otherwise nice work.
iRepairMD UA-cam you did a great repair non the less👍👍 I wish I could do that, I don't have a steady hand at all

I too agree that a soldier sucker is a great investment. it's a good idea to periodically clean the tip, then tin it as well.
About the landing gear.
Where did get this?
Do you have a video how to replace front motor?
what's the type of screw at frame 23:38? And where can I get it?
Great job, i'm saving this video

A few minor mistakes, as pointed out in the comments below, otherwise a good repair...
you have to clean up your soldering iron tip
this is where dji could take something away from go pro, should use connectors instead of soildered points
Thanks for sharing, good stuff.
