Now we both are at the same point, my T5 engine is in the car and I'm doing the wiring at the moment. Looking forward to your next Videos. I hope you Show some Details especially about the differences between the fuel pump Relais.
@@BackmansGarage I'm about to use the Motronic 4.3 the 850 T5 came with. I need this to get german "TÜV" - that means Inspection/Admission... Otherwise the car wouldnt be allowed to take part of the public traffic.
Ok, I will not be running with the motronic. But iam thinking about a way to make a video showing both the m4.3 motronic installation and the maxxecu installation. I will see what I can do 👍

so this is M90 gear box and it can be instaled to T5 engine without modifications, just like stock? and it means that M90 can be instaled to B8444s without modifikations? is it right? some body please tell me about that and sorry for my english

Hey Backman, I'm in the middle of a T-5 / M90 build for my 88 Volvo 780. However, I am using the older type Flywheel and Clutch/Pressure plate so I avoid the problems with the Dual Mass Flywheel system.. Curious as to why you selected the DMF setup?
Nice! 👍 I did not select it. It was installed on the engine from the beginning and to save some time, and money I just decided to use it again since I probably won't exceed the stock performance figures. I cant see how it would matter. I will probably have the only 740 T5 in the world with a dual mass flywheel 😅 Once it starts slipping or vibrating I will upgrade the flywheel, pressure plate and disk to something aftermarket and non dual mass. //Backman
Hi man! I'm also a little disappointed with DMF. The old DMF loses flexibility and is made between two halves (even when stock riding). As one of the few people on the B5244T5, i welded DMF- "hard". You handle a welder very well - easy work for you. SMF great thing, I'm absolutely satisfied. Otherwise swap from you excellent. Thanks for the high quality video! Hello! Thomas.

Haha, Got the cat but she's got her hands full and absolutely hates the garage. Maybe a garage cat ? All four of my traps have been full everyday, it's a crazy year for the mice this year.
If you have a farmer's supply close to you, ask them what they sell to farmers. A lot of equipment gets stored for months on end, and cats can't get inside tractors, combines, etc., so they usually have to put a deterrent inside the equipment to keep mice out.
Ja, tips nummer 1 är att inte starta en UA-cam kanal och skaffa barn samtidigt som du skall bygga din 740... Annars är det lite smaken som baken vilken motor man väljer, fästen finns till det mesta. Finns ju förstås en uppsjö med tips innan man påbörjar ett sånt här bygge men något speciellt utöver tid, plats, verktyg och pengar så nej, det mesta klurar man ut längs med vägen. Skulle ju försöka hålla mig till BMW / Volvo då det är vanligast och kanske är bäst att börja med. Sen ska man inte underskatta en välbyggd B230 heller för den delen :)

Curious the differences for this swap in an older 740 ('87)

I dont beleve the gerbox will fit the B8444s engine. It would not be a good decision anyway since it is way too weak of a gearbox for a V8.

@@BackmansGarage haha no problem! They’re used a bunch on vag cars, and when I worked at an Audi/VW dealership I had to grab a set.

Jag funderar på att sätta i en t5 eller någon BMW motor i min 744 -85 förgasare, har du något tips som jag bör tänka på innan bygge?
