Love how your actually taking the time, and teaching the people working with you. I've had bosses that scream and cuss when you don't know something. Great job!!
Good Morning Alex! Thanks for sharing!! One quick note. When working under an old car and using Milwaukee nut drivers or ratchets etc, Get on some safety glasses please. Ask he how I know. $2,000 in medical co-pays for dirt and rust shards stuck in my eye ball.
@@AlfsMustangGarage Sorry Alex, I don't mean to be critical, but I care about you guys, all good car people and Hot Rodders. I won't mention it again. Happy Easter Weekend!
Cool video series, I will be following along. Great to see everything comin out nicely. Mine always fights me, maybe I should buy a Airhammer as well. 😂
so jealus of everything coming out so easy. Im gonna do this on my Falcon, -60, yeah, cant hardly identify the nuts anywhere, just looks like some rusted alien stuff, so i think most of the dissasembly is gonna be done with a angle grinder :(
Alf, hoping I catch you at your computer again. When installing my new leafs (purchased the 1in lowering springs) and shocks my ride height went way up. Should I loosen everything and put it on the ground and then tighten? I tightened everything when I had the car up in the air.
Alf, I’m in Ireland and I have no guru to consult. Maybe you or another subscriber can help me. Started the 289 mustang today. Let here run for a while. Later tried a restart, struggled to start but did. As I was curious why this was happening I tried another restart. Now I have nothing, no power in the car whatsoever. Lights, horn, cabin lights, nothing. Battery is fully charged and all connections seem good. What did happen one time was after I had switched off the ignition, the starter motor gave a few more slow turns. 😢 Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well, this might be difficult to figure out from here, but I'll tell ya where my mind is going. If you shut the key off and the starter engages, you may have an ignition switch that is shirting out. You may also have other issues but I would naturally go to the ignition switch. Now as far as not having any power anywhere and the battery is fully charged. I would be checking the grounds. Check the negative battery cable where it grounds to the block. Also check the firewall ground where it grounds to the engine. I hope that helps. These things can be overwhelming at times.
@@AlfsMustangGarage Thank you so much for your reply and your time. I went through all of your suggestions and everything was fine. I’m embarrassed to say it was a culmination of the car not been driven for a long time, a battery finished off by bad frost and a stuck starter solenoid. Thanks again for taking time to reply, I really enjoy your channel and always look forward to new content. Peace. Declan.

Thank you! Ya that never really teaches anyone anything.

Safety glasses are a great idea!
Ouch! That doesn't sound very fun.

Many hands make light work! Now that you have a crew, I may need to have you guys come up and help on my car. :)
Heck ya! How's the paint coming?
@@AlfsMustangGarage Done! Video next week. :)
Awesome! I'll watch out for it!
Looks like you have the Mustang under control. From what I've seen, you need more assistance with the truck. Lol
Rust state guys all have torches, its A must for rust😎👍
Oh I can imagine! You probably wouldn't know what to do if the bolts actually came out the way they're supposed to!
I do have to say... "In the face!" Hee hee!
🤣🤣🤣

Tighten everything with the car on the ground.
@@AlfsMustangGarage I already tightened everything while it was up so I'll raise it up again loosen a bit then drop and tighten. 👍👍
whats an estimate on parts used for this conversion?
