Your video is surely the best I’ve come across. You’re a great teacher. I am a shop teacher so I should be able to recognize a good lesson approach. Thank you, Bren t hayes
Great video. Only thing is because of the Shelby drop the upper ball joint now sits at a different angle and therefore has less travel going toward shock tower. With factory upper control arms you may want to look at a ball joint wedge kit to avoid those ball joints breaking off during maximum spring compression.
This is a GREAT video....Super helpful. Thanks for posting it. Looks like this project is going really well. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Good Luck!!
What did you paint your wheel wells with? Your videos are great by the way! About to get my grandpas 66 mustang and these videos will be helping me through lots of projects.
sweet video just bought a 65 mustang with a inline 6 for my son and were going to v8 swap it... was wondering is there a front suspension kit you bought that has mostly all parts or did you have to peice it out? im definitely going to go with your CSRP for the disk break conversion upgrade.... any advice would be helpful appricitate the great content!
Oh ya I just piece them out. I think i have a bunch of links in the description. Ya for sure do csrp brakes, and now they have a rear disc brake kit that I just did and made a video on too. It's fantastic.
@@AlfsMustangGarage No sir total was 340. I ordered enough stuff to offset the single cost so i got 6 items for the same price! I dont understand NPD shipping policies but whatever! I hope ot start my 66 suspension reinstall friday. Im watching your videos to make sure I dont mess up!
I hated doing these springs on my liincoln. I would never put my hands on that thing while compressing. I might be overly cautious, but I have seen what happens when a spring lets go.
@@AlfsMustangGarage I ended up using a compressor for a mercedes, because my buddy worked on them and said it was pretty much the same set up which I found funny, but it worked like it was made for it. I still find it scary when working on springs knowing what kind of power is in one. compressed.

Oh awesome thank you! It's always good to hear that, especially from a professional!
Thanks for the shout out Brotha!!
You're very welcome!
Roller spring perches and a roller idler arm are tremendous improvements to the handling of these cars
Great tutorial going to save it for when I upgrade
Excellent! Thank you! Glad to hear these are helpful!

Oooh so shinny and pretty!
Oh ya!
It would be a good idea to place an additional shim on the front bolt. This will give you some caster for the alignment shop to start with.
Lots of great info in this video, I could have used it 4 years ago! :)
Same here! I did some early video on front springs. Ya, I took that one down lol Always trying to improve the process!

Shipping on the spring compressor was the same price as the tool. Geesh!
Wow are you shipping to a location out of the states?

Thank you for posting. I am doing the same thing on a 66 coupe. What brake kit are you using?
You're very welcome! We use CSRP brake kits for all the cars intended to be daily or weekend cruisers.

Not with this tool. Safest and easiest way to do it.

So, my Ford shop manual (1965) puts almost every torque rating at a much different number. Which shop manual do you use?
