    We've tried this on our scooter (vespa) we used a cheap version of K9 sport sack, my shoulder hurts, and you are right the weight shifting when the dog moves is scary. we have a k9 sport sack plus2 but it doesn't fit my husky. If I'm big enough like the human of Brodie (golden doodle using K9 Sport Sack Colosus) may be its ok. Short ride is ok.. but for 5km long or longer ride is not ok for me.

      For smaller dog I think it's ok, but for medium dog (more than 10kg up) it is very uncomfortable.

      It sounds like you came to the same conclusion about the backpack as we did. The other concern is what happens to you and the dog in case of a crash or get-off.
