- We once again return to Imola, but this time its different! After sessions with my West Competition Racing team mates, I had some higher expectations for this weeks Imola sprint races. And I really started to put things together to produce my best lap yet in ACC. Yes there is still work to do vs the very top drivers, but this is a real milestone lap for me! AND we hit an ELO milestone as well!

Race Hard, Stay Positive. See you in the next one!
Here I’m again sitting and watching mate getting even faster and cleaner. That’s my man, keep it up ! You will get to a pro level in no time.
Thanks as always mate! You'll get a good laugh in the next video haha. Still some ways from pro, but we keep learning 😂
A very nice lap, mate! I have over 700 hours in ACC and I haven't broken the barrier into 40s yet. Very impressed at your racecraft and improvement in pace!
Hey !!! He is fast .... I've been watching all his videos ..closely
Thanks for the kind words again mate! My fast team mates were really such a huge help to unlock some time here. They are knocking on the door of 39s, so its scary to think there is still time to find!
@@Chuksfunhouse Cheers mate! Both of you are always so consistent in comments on my videos. I appreciate it so much!
Remember that you cant be good at every track and you’re naturally better at some tracks than others
@@T1mischief yes, very true. Imola is one of my weaker tracks and I haven't put as much time in it as some other tracks, because I just don't like it.
Your videos encourage me to start trying the competition in online racing, I´ve started with the AC1, since it's easier to get started and I'm training for the license on ACC. Thanks again for the great content! Cheers from Brazil!
So awesome! I still get blown away how my videos are getting people into the racing. Keep us updated with the progression!
Small tip, try to use abs 1 in wet conditions, it's 10 times better. Car is braking alot better and stopping earlier, cuz abs is not kicking that hard while braking.
Will need to try that. This is how the wet set up came, and I haven't driven the BMW enough in the wet to consider trying any changes. Cheers for the recommendation!
I love your insights and have enjoyed following your journey. You've inspired me to finally dive in, and am waiting for Logitech to deliver my Pro set. I can't wait.
Woohoo! Oh you are going to love it! Please let me know how you get on once you get it all set up.
Love you series. Started racing in the LMF as well, after watching your vids.
Amazing! Honestly its always so cool to hear from people who have recently got into LFM. How have you found it so far?
@@BradleySettersMotorsport Really nice! Clean racing and already won my first races. Now focussing on boosting my elo.
Nice racing Brad! Sadly I couldn’t extract pace here this time round! Glad to see you’re up there!
Cheers Jack. Imola has its quirks and this is one of my best tracks now. Wont take you long to work it out mate!
Great stuff yet again! I think that the Aston might have (accidentally) taken you out if you'd gone defensive at the hairpin, and that leaving the door open for him was a good safe option. Some good close racing there, look forward to the next instalment
Thank you! Yes in hindsight he sort of sized that move up the lap prior, and then when the door was open on that lap he had a crack. The touch was very slight all things considered. So really should have kept the door shut to start, as I doubt he would have been going around the outside. So glad you are enjoying the videos!
Fantastic lap, my best is a 1:44.855, not one of my favourites, until recently I hadn’t driven there much. Actually beginning to enjoy it and get a bit quicker at the same time. That wet race was exactly what I expected, slippery conditions and poor vision don’t make it easy, mistakes were bound to happen. Keep up the great work, waiting for your next video already.
Thank you so much once again! This is my most driven track, and getting comfortable with how the car feels on the kerbs is a big key around Imola. Just comes with time on track. It made the wet race tough though as you had to stay away from all the kerbs haha.
@BradleySettersMotorsport I drive the Mustang so don't have to worry about the curbs. It's even better than the BMW, coming from the Ferrari you would be avoiding them out of habit.
great lap. I'm currently practicing for Imola. Down to a 1.45.2 (I liked what you were doing at the chicane, so might give that a bit of focus, as i'm losing heaps there. I'm enjoying the channel keep it up.
Thank you so much! My unlock at Imola was getting very comfortable with the car going over the kerbs. You more or less go completely over 80% of the kerbs on the track, particularly turns 1(thumbnail image for reference) ,2 5,6 and the chicane. I found a tremendous amount of time in those corners once I got the line right. Also crashed a lot there trying to learn it haha, so its a bit of process.
Insane progression!!! Well done man. Been waiting for your videos to release religiously! Enjoy watching them am I’m on a very similar progression curve. Would you mind sharing your camera settings? I use bonnet view but I’m thinking of make the switch back to cockpit view and I’m liking how’s yours looks…
Oh thank you so much! That gives me so much motivation to keep making these videos. Yea I learning every time I'm in the rig, and its fun to see it come together on track. The gains are getting harder to find though haha. The best thing you can do for cockpit view is find a good FOV (field of view) calculator. This will make the view as real as possible and then train your brain to learn where the corners of the car are in the view. Its trickier if you are on a standard monitor as the vision is narrow (as you see it in my videos), but on a wide or triple monitor set up you will still see all the front of the car on screen. But from an immersion perspective I would totally recommend using the in car view!
@@BradleySettersMotorsport fair enough! Valid point because i guess what looks good and works for you wont really translate for me as we probable have different setups. ill defs check the calculator out. shot man, looking forward to the next vid and also that live stream "wink wink"
Great racing. It’s been a fun week at imola for sure. My PB at imola is a 1:43.1, still have plenty of time to gain
Imola is good fun! Intense racing and trying not to get caught into a mistake. Where on the track do you think you have the most time to gain? I really had to get comfortable attacking all the kerbs in the BMW and that really helped bring the times down for me.
Lovely pace mate. 1:40.8 is rapid!
Learning for the best 🫡
Great video as always mate, that was a cracker of a lap. You have quite a smooth driving style which doesn't look spectacular but is fast, I might need to look into that. I got my rig set up on Saturday and I'm looking to make my debut in LFM at the start of the new season. Cannot wait! Have you thought about that discord server yet? Can't wait till we eventually lock horns one day...
Thank you very much mate! I try be smooth as it really helps with race consistency. Probably leaving a little pace on the table as a result, but over a race length it seems to always pay off. Don't worry the Discord is coming 😊
I have been Watching you since the beginning and i was curios to know how many hours you got in acc?
Cheers for supporting the vids! Now up to 217 hours, and doing about 15 hours a week currently. So lots of focused practice and a good number of races.
Upgraded to racing jandals .
There was a lot of jandal given in this video 😂
well done! don't really like Imola if i am honest, my best time there is 1.41.1, still chasing those 1.40 times :)
Thank you! Very fast considering you don't like Imola. This would be one of my top strong tracks now. Would love to have this level of pace at all the circuits!
Dont feel bad, i was in a split one, quali'd 5th with a low 141, noticed on lap 7....i had not put enough fuel in...had to pit, 5th to 16th, good times. -140 elo😂😂
Oh no, that's a horrible feeling! I have had a couple of fuel mess ups recently. Always over fuel the first couple of races now and work back from there haha.
Which monitor do you drive with? 49 or 57?
49" Neo for me. The 57 is awesome, but its basically 2x the resolution and would a massive strain on the graphics card to run it. Decided it was more beneficial for me to go with the 49". And honestly it still looks amazing being run on Epic settings.
Good video. Shame that the 2 cars that punted you off in the rain race didn't slow to let you back past them after they out braked themselves. Would have shown some sportsmanship from them.
Thank you! Yea a bit of a shame. Should never have been in the fight with them though. To many of my own mistakes in that race.
How do you like the BMW vs the 296?
1.42s and you're slow? Geezus. I'm barely in the 1.46s...
In Rookies.
At Imola I like the BMW quite abit more then the 296 haha. Its actually a really good car, and you do drive it a lot different to the 296. It has helped that all my WCR team mates use it so they have been teaching me how to drive it. I know 42s are not slow, and I need to be better at reminding myself of that. When the team mates are still a second quicker, its hard not to compare yourself to me them haha.
Unlucky in the 2nd race. Need to be less passive now on your defence. Pretty much gave him P1. Make him go the long way round if he wants it.
Cheers Boosive! Yea race 2 was a bit of a shocker for me. And agree I was far to passive in the last race. I don't fight for a win very often, and I'm kicking myself for not fully putting the elbows up all race long.
