Bane felt Zannah would be a disappointment so he found another to replace her but then Zannah killed him and took his new apprentice as her own. :)

Not only was the rule of two conceived of well before the first Kotor game takes place, by Darth Bane, but one of the most important characters in the old republic lore, Revan perfected it centuries before the MMO starts. You mistake the rule of two. It isn't that there can only ever be two sith in the entirety of the universe. It's that sith must always work in pairs of two; to foster and teach a continuous line of new sith masters, with the hopes accumulating as much wisdom and power as possible into the ultimate sith champion. A master and an apprentice. Revan and Malak. Malgus and whoever his master was. Plageis and Palpatine. Exar kun and freedon nadd. The existence of characters like Snoke, Maul, Dooku etc, not to mention ventriss just to name prequel/clone wars characters, disprove the idea of only one master and one apprentice across all of space.

@@underscore5673 you mean for the story? most people will probably say imperial agent, that class really does have a great story. my personal favorite was playing the sith inquisitor in evil, i liked the dialogue choices, the sith warrior are also cool. i'd say in general you can't really go wrong with anything on the empire side, while on the republic side i thought both jedi stories were kind of weak, but the smuggler and soldier were alright.
@@underscore5673 If think if I had to consider someone who'd only play the story including all the expansions once, I'd recommend Sith Warrior or Jedi Knight for that. They're somewhat more involved with the main antagonist than the other classes, it makes for a more cohesive story. The Jedi Knight story, it really nails that "wandering Ronin Hero" feeling. Traveling the Galaxy, righting wrongs, it's a classic RPG experience. I find the Jedi Consular story lackluster in comparison, it focuses a lot on diplomacy which I understand is what Jedi do but doesn't necessarily make for exciting action story. Both the Sith stories excel in power fantasy. They rule with fear and the way NPCs treat you shows as much. The Sith Warrior is more of a Darth Vader type, he is more focused on being an enforcer, kicking ass and taking names, while the Sith Inquisitor story revolves more around Sith power plays and force mysticism. I personally prefer SW but SI is good choice. Make your SW Human/Cyborg or a Sith Pureblood and your SI an Alien (Twi'lek, Togruta, etc.) to give your story extra punch. If you're just going by class story, Imperial Agent is the most impressive. It has the most choice in pivotal moments by far, I think just the first arc has 4 possible endings. So good, you really need to play it. The VA even changes his accent depending on your cover, it's really cool. (Play this one as a male Chiss. The look fits, plus the VA is delightfully slimy) The other "military" background, Republic Trooper, is fairly straightforward by comparison. Republic Special Forces does Special Forces Ops, but I found playing a dark-side "anything it takes" kind of Trooper entertaining aswell. Still solid. Of the two "mercenary" backgrounds, I prefer Bounty Hunter. You get to be Mando! Everyone loves Mandalorians. The smuggler story is a lot more lighthearted than the other ones, it has great action and comedy. Who doesn't like the scoundrel types? If I had to rank them class-story only: 1. Imperial Agent 2. Sith Warrior 3. Jedi Knight 4. Sith Inquisitor 5. Bounty Hunter 6. Trooper 7. Smuggler 8. Jedi Consular If you're going to play the entire thing on just one character, I'd recommend Sith Warrior or Jedi Knight though.

Two boys, Arcann (the white) and Thexan (the black) are the sons of Valcorion (the guy on a throne). The woman from next trailer is their mother Senya and the girl is their sister Vaylin. Arcann becomes the Emperor after his father is killed and you can either kill or redeem him, unlike his sister. Vaylin dies and if you as me, she’s a tragic character. All children of Valkorion are. Honestly, Arcann and Vaylin give a lot of vibes from Zuko and Azula form ATLA 😂 This storyline is the best part of SWTOR - pretty much ready movie material with complex villains, one possible redemption arc, amazing story and few great side characters from origin stories.
Yup. And then after that run is done, go back and do a "prequel" with Tenebrae and do an origin story explaining all his back story and him becoming eventually Valkorian...would be a dope movie
@@odinsudons You know, Tenebrae’s story could actually work well in a form of mini series, with episodes (maybe around two or three) being equally divided between original Tenebrae, Emperor Vitiate and then Valkorion, considering we know quite a lot about him so the show could include his early life, first ritual and destruction of Medriaas (Nathema), rising to power in Empire, maybe capturing Revan, finding Valkorion, meeting Senya etc. Damn, this thing could be epic.

Not exactly. The Sacking of Coruscant was to force the Republic into an unfavorable peace treaty, that would give the Empire more time to consolidate their gains. Malgus was indeed furious, because he wanted to burn down Coruscant, rather than use it as a hostage negotiation.
@@HeatRaver You're half right because while that was what it seemed the real reason was to trick the Empire into allowing the republic to gain back some ground to rally to their cause so they might fight the Empire all the harder. The entire war was made just so Valkorian could rise and it's explained in an expansion. This truth of however was kept quite secret because he was literally tricking the whole of every Sith alive at the moment and it explains why the Emperor was such an absentee one: all because his real focus was elsewhere, Zakuul.
SWOTOR is one of those mmos where you can literal just ignore the mmo parts of the game and play it like it’s a single players RPG. The storytelling and choices are the best parts of that game and you basically get 8 completely different campaigns. The game itself was based on knights of the old republic which is a full on rpg from 2003 by the people who made mass effect and dragon age and it had one of the best stories in gaming. Also that game is getting a remake which I absolutely cannot wait for.
not to mention lots of side missions on the different worlds, it's fun just to dick around in it, and a good number of expansion content. plus, with multiple servers and such, you can even replay the various stories without having to reset your "main" characters. just create a new one in the same image and you are good to go!
Darth Sidious uses the force scream ability in episode 3 Revenge of the Sith when he fights the Jedi council. That's why they are all stunned when he spins into them.

8:15... The closest thing we have is Empire at War: Forces of Corruption and playing the mods for that game. It still holds up all these years later. Almost 20 years at this point. And honestly, the Lego Clone Wars game for Wii (at least I had it for Wii) was along the same lines you are talking about, in regards to larger scale war.
This game is always such a throwback for me. When it first launched I pushed to lvl50 in a month and was fortunate enough to push realm first Eternity Vault and Hutt's Palace HMs. The best MMO experience I've had coming off the lessons from Wotlk. Played as a Trooper/Commando/Medic. It was an extra bonus getting to experience Shepard 2.0 for the class storyline
The machine showed her what happened to her brother. He was capable of using the force but the Jedi picked her and left her brother behind. Malgus showed her that she had been lied to by her master for years.
@@VolrinSeth I kind of like it tbh. It shows that even though he has strong beliefs and wants to convince people of them he is still ultimately a sith and therefore selfish. His own personal gain comes before everything else. It gives more nuance to his character since they want you to agree with him but also see how evil he is despite that.
Why this is better and why we can't have this in live-action? Because the people who made this actually love Star Wars. And the people who make live-action Star Wars only love themselves.
The ability the girl used was Force Scream, it's a dark side ability that Palpatine uses when charging towards windu and other Jedis and I'm pretty sure Anakin Skywalker has used before, I don't remember from where exactly.
heck, each ONE of these trailers is a better story than the entirety of the sequels! the characters might not do much, but they do a lot in so little time and do it so well. you feel more interested/invested in ANY of these characters from the trailers alone than you do for most of the sequel characters.

SWTOR is the best MMO money vise...You need to sub it once to get all expansions up to date and even after stopping the sub you still get to keep them. It doesn't have pay to win element in a game since everything is cosmetic, mounts, pets....
Honestly, if they give that game a real facelift in graphics and make it again a bit harder, so you kind of feel you earned your story-related fights during the main character missions, they could resell it at full price again. I've never seen a game-it does not matter if MMo or single player-that made their class stories so great and breathed life into the world like this. Sure, nowadays games like Cyberpunk are on a different level in that regard, but overall, with the scope they offer and the diversity in everything, still second to none. Simple things as their hologram communicators, the awesome voiced dialogues everywhere you go (in the past). People to this day celebrating Dragon Age origins for their different starting character-stories -hell, this game blows that attempt out of the water by scope and diversity alone. What are they working on? A Gothic 1 Unreal Engine 5 remake? Great, but imagine this game like that.

From the moment I saw the Hope trailer back before release and when we got confirmed on what classes there were gonna be, I knew I'd pick Trooper first, and it's been my favorite (with Bounty Hunter a close 2nd) to this day.
We have had total war/strategy games for Star Wars. Several. Battlefront for the shooter experience as a boots on the ground soldier. For strategy we got Force Commander, a couple of others, but the big one that comes to mind is Empire at War. Extremely good real time strategy game, and it's still very much alive. Multiple mod communities still actively putting out updates and content to expand on what the base/official game offers and it still holds up to even modern standards. I don't know how is officially backing it as a studio but they just got a Steam update in the last year that upgraded the engine to run on 64 bit instead of the old 32 which greatly expanded the options available to mod authors.
the originals, prequels, and clone wars all have this same narrative and fight quality. still, this does make me sad every time i watch these wonderful cinematics. in a mere 30 minutes to an hour, you have better star wars storytelling than the whole of the sequel trilogy! HOW?!?!

There was a leak i think from CA. Would be cool as Halo Wars 1&2 were good. Mind i would prefer a Empire at War 2, becuse EAW with mods like AOTR, Remake, Thrawns Revenge, and RAW, is fantastic. Highly recomended if you havent played, but base game is bare bones and kinda janky compaired to most modern games. Its on steam quite cheep.
The reason the Jedi separate the children from their family is because of the rule against attachments. This is also why they don't normally take children over the age of 5-6. Family wields a powerful influence on the mind of a child, which for force sensitives, can cause them to lean into or fall to the dark side without ever realizing it. The Jedi seek to remove the attachments, and by raising them in the way of the Jedi Code, they hope to mold them into Jedi that can control their emotions and maintain a rational mind to better serve the will of the force. It should also be noted that this was mostly a voluntary procedure. The parents reserve the right to refuse the Jedi, and they will not press it further. But it is incentivized, particularly among the poor, destitute folks in the Outer and Mid Rim worlds.
One of the reasons I think that they don't make things like this in live action is either because they'd mess it up or "star wars fans" will find a reason to hate it just because they aren't familiar with it and only like things if they're like prequel stuff

The Republic and the Sith Empire were in peace negotiations when Darth Malgus conquered Coruscant and the Jedi Temple. This allowed them to influence the negotiations in their favor. The Sith Empire returned the planet after the negotiations were concluded.
When Jedi “take” children, they hardly (if ever) kidnap them. It’s like talking to the parents and advertising a special school for unusual children. A force child can be very troublesome to raise, so most parents agree to it even if it’s hard to say goodbye for them. Plus, they know the child can have a bright future doing some good in the galaxy.
"How did they get it back" The treaty of Coruscant between the empire and the republic happens just before you start the game. something like 15-20 years passes between the first cinematic and you creating your character in the mmorpg.
I've got more than two slots because I have been playing since the beginning and so I have several characters. My only max level one is an Inquisitor, though. Definitely my favorite class!
As I said elsewhere the acolyte is a bad time to set a show. Too close to canon events limiting your ability to handwave "these events were forgotten by episode 1." But not close enough to show another reflection of what's happening.
The chick in the second is the one in the first, she is the Grand Master at the start of the game, and I think still is but I have not played in a long time. And that dude she pushed into the mountain is not dead. That was Malgus.
Star Wars Empire at War is an RTS game made about 20 years ago. That's the closest available thing to total war, but its not that great without mods. Rumor has it studio that makes total war games is making a new star wars RTS.
Back when it first came out i played a Bounty Hunter Mercenary because I loved the idea of shooting people to health with blasters lol, the next time I played the Tank Trooper and had my favorite PvP moments on that character.
My favourite Star Wars games are Kotor 1 and 2, the stories and characters are just so good. For gameplay I love Jedi Academy. If I’m feeling like playing something more modern I’ll play through Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor, or Battlefront 2. I used to play a lot of Swotor but I don’t have a good computer anymore.
Hello Mello you know speaking of Star Wars games if you ever get the chance mate I recommend playing Knights Of The Old Republic it's a fantastic RPG with interesting characters and lore, I also recommend Republic Commando, it's set during the clone wars and it does a great job of showing the war from a clone's perspective. The banter between the different members of Delta squad is great and amusing, the missions are fantastic, the weapons are a lot of fun to use and it makes you feel like you are part of an elite squad plus I've got the song Vode An stuck in my head. The original Battlefront games are a blast to play, Dark Forces is a 90s classic and I also recently got volumes 1 and 2 of the 2003 Clone Wars micro series on DVD which is awesome. I have multiples of every class, but, I have the most Sith Warriors. As far as my favorite SW game of all time, that would be Star Wars Rebellion. It was an early grand strategy style game. I still play it several times a year.

Sooo there actually several Star Wars strategy games. Less Total War, more Age of Empires. But Empires at War was a really good one, especially the expansion that added as playable faction the Zann Consortium, a criminal empire that has amassed incredible power during the constant conflict, so they are trying to continue the chaos of said conflict.
The voice actress for the female bounty hunter character is the same woman that voiced Mandy in "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy." When you chose dark side dialogue options, you could almost hear that psychotic little blond girl.
I just started the game 2 week's ago! I have a Trooper/Sniper and a Sith Sorcerer! I really love this game so far. 100% recommend this game to new player's who want to start playing MMO in general. I just Subscribed like 2 hours a go and I 100% recommend everyone Subing to the game at least 1 time!
The two characters that I played the most in this game were my power tech bounty Hunter and sith Inquisitor. I can't remember what subclass my sith Inquisitor was
Valkorion, vitiate, tenabra, the sith emporer was over 1000 yrs old. H3 was born a pureblood sith. Killed his stepdad, tortured and killed his mom and then stripped his real father of the force at only 9,10 yrs old. He then had all the sith lords on his planet gather and he then proceeded to drain the force and life of everything on the planet, gaining immortality. He was both the sith emporer and the immortal emporer of zakuul having split his essence among two bodies. The twins and girl are his sons and daughter while he was valkorion. The women was the wife and the kids mom.
Have played SW:ToR since 2011 (first day; lets gooooo! celebrate the server issues!), though I was still depressed SWG was "killed" to make room for this MMO (favorite Star Wars MMO will always be Star Wars Galaxies -- smuggler, bounty hunter, beast mastery were so good! Space combat, especially as a pilot, was insane for an MMO, and it still had, to this day, the best crafting/vendoring/housing system I've ever seen. Story was nice too, though ToR has it beat by lightyears. Those class stories are amazing.). I've taken long breaks (years long in some cases -- I couldn't resist the call of WoW and CoH), but I've unlocked the entire legacy system (gotten the maxed-out achievement/buff) for all eight classes (4 Pub, 4 Imp). I think I have... 30 something characters in ToR. Favorite classes? Jedi Knight and Smuggler (Pub). All 4 classes Imp side, though Warrior and Agent are best -- most agree Agent is the best class story in the game. Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight form the backbone of the entire ToR story, up until KotFE and KotET. Smuggler is good too, though mostly because of its tie-ins to other class storylines. The 4th trailer depicts Valkorion, ruler of the Eternal Empire, and his twin sons Thexan and Arcann. Valkorion is actually the Sith Lord Vitiate, who used his power of Essence Transfer to take over the body of the original Valkorion and claim the Eternal Empire of Zakuul for his own. Their fleet was a powerful droid fleet that, along with the Knights of Zakuul, brought both the Sith Empire and the Republic to their knees, forcing them to be Zakuul's puppet states. The one after depicts Senya Tirall, a Knight of Zakuul and mother of the twins and of their younger sister Vaylin.

In the early days, Jedi did just take kids who were Force sensitive. They were building an army of Jedi. Later on, they stopped as their reputation was downhill. They built up their standing again. Then the prequels took place.
A couple months ago it leaked they Creative Assembly (devs of total war) are in early development of a Star Wars Total War game, unfortunately won’t see it till 2030 at the earliest tho
If you were a bit older you'd have been around for the Jedi Academy games. its had multiple like what you're asking for. I always wanted to get a Saber but it's hard to find the ones I like. My favorite is Darth Bane's its curved like Douku's, its the weathered version Its the Bane Mk2 Weathered from Saverforge.

I agree about Acolyte. They started with an interesting plot premise, and completely sh*t the bed in the execution... I disagree about Andor, tho. I think there's an issue with people forgetting the "Han Solo" aspect of the greater Star Wars lore. It's not all about powerful, mystical Jedi saving the galaxy, but also the "ordinary person" element of everyday people coming together in the face of seemingly unstoppable evil. They stand up and fight despite not having any exceptional powers. That is the importance of Han Solo in the OT, and it's a theme they expand on in Andor. I thought it was extremely well made, well acted, and well written. People can not like it, that's fine if it's not your cup of tea, but George Lucas included the story of regular people standing up for freedom for a reason, and I like that Andor continued that story.

This era is before the rule of 2. And Malgus didn't play her, per say. He left her there like that, seeing it as that she needs to learn to break free and help herself. Him aiding her wouldn't help her, as she had a master before that hindered her.
I enjoyed it as an MMO but it eventually felt lacking in content, so I'd just pop in play the new stuff and lose interest. Now it's been contracted to another company to manage it so I doubt there will be much content of substance. Definitely hop in, the story is good. Plus (at least last I played) if you subscribe for 1 month you get all the expansions, so just do a month and you'll unlock everything, even if you don't subscribe past a month you'll keep it unlocked I had basically all characters but my main character was. Sith Inquisitor. Inquisitor / Counsulor Mercenary / Commando are my favorite classes. Imperial Agent has the coolest ship imo.
I have one of each class on swtor right now, but I mainly play as the imperial agent class, and I made them a mando. Also, they do have Empire at war, where you could mod it to be in the clone wars era
A lot of knowledge of the force was lost between the end of the Old Republic and all the movies. It was a 4,000 year difference between the movies and the games. This was the absolute height with the force.
There is a Star Wars total war type of game called Star Wars Empire at War it is pretty dated but there are mods that make it up to date. It is super fun I highly recommend it with mods if you were wanting to try it out.

If u want a quality neopixel saber that aint gon drain yo pockets. Cuz yea the neopixels be EXPENSIVE, you gotta shop with (Imperial Workshop) they have custom sabers and replicas fron the franchise. I only spent like 260 something for a the vega hilt. And theyre duel grade
The reason why the sequels didn't have these kinds of lightsaber fights is because there were no jedi who had this knowledge living, all the knowledge died during order 66 and therefore Rey and Finn couldn't fight like this.

Also I recommend playing Swtor as the new trailers are just a little glimpse in what is actually a big Expansion story in the game.

Not only was the rule of two conceived of well before the first Kotor game takes place, by Darth Bane, but one of the most important characters in the old republic lore, Revan perfected it centuries before the MMO starts. You mistake the rule of two. It isn't that there can only ever be two sith in the entirety of the universe. It's that sith must always work in pairs of two; to foster and teach a continuous line of new sith masters, with the hopes accumulating as much wisdom and power as possible into the ultimate sith champion. A master and an apprentice. Revan and Malak. Malgus and whoever his master was. Plageis and Palpatine. Exar kun and freedon nadd. The existence of characters like Snoke, Maul, Dooku etc, not to mention ventriss just to name prequel/clone wars characters, disprove the idea of only one master and one apprentice across all of space.

i'd say in general you can't really go wrong with anything on the empire side, while on the republic side i thought both jedi stories were kind of weak, but the smuggler and soldier were alright.
@@underscore5673 If think if I had to consider someone who'd only play the story including all the expansions once, I'd recommend Sith Warrior or Jedi Knight for that. They're somewhat more involved with the main antagonist than the other classes, it makes for a more cohesive story.
The Jedi Knight story, it really nails that "wandering Ronin Hero" feeling. Traveling the Galaxy, righting wrongs, it's a classic RPG experience. I find the Jedi Consular story lackluster in comparison, it focuses a lot on diplomacy which I understand is what Jedi do but doesn't necessarily make for exciting action story.
Both the Sith stories excel in power fantasy. They rule with fear and the way NPCs treat you shows as much. The Sith Warrior is more of a Darth Vader type, he is more focused on being an enforcer, kicking ass and taking names, while the Sith Inquisitor story revolves more around Sith power plays and force mysticism. I personally prefer SW but SI is good choice. Make your SW Human/Cyborg or a Sith Pureblood and your SI an Alien (Twi'lek, Togruta, etc.) to give your story extra punch.
If you're just going by class story, Imperial Agent is the most impressive. It has the most choice in pivotal moments by far, I think just the first arc has 4 possible endings. So good, you really need to play it. The VA even changes his accent depending on your cover, it's really cool. (Play this one as a male Chiss. The look fits, plus the VA is delightfully slimy)
The other "military" background, Republic Trooper, is fairly straightforward by comparison. Republic Special Forces does Special Forces Ops, but I found playing a dark-side "anything it takes" kind of Trooper entertaining aswell. Still solid.
Of the two "mercenary" backgrounds, I prefer Bounty Hunter. You get to be Mando! Everyone loves Mandalorians.
The smuggler story is a lot more lighthearted than the other ones, it has great action and comedy. Who doesn't like the scoundrel types?
If I had to rank them class-story only:

3. Jedi Knight

Two boys, Arcann (the white) and Thexan (the black) are the sons of Valcorion (the guy on a throne). The woman from next trailer is their mother Senya and the girl is their sister Vaylin. Arcann becomes the Emperor after his father is killed and you can either kill or redeem him, unlike his sister. Vaylin dies and if you as me, she’s a tragic character. All children of Valkorion are. Honestly, Arcann and Vaylin give a lot of vibes from Zuko and Azula form ATLA 😂 This storyline is the best part of SWTOR - pretty much ready movie material with complex villains, one possible redemption arc, amazing story and few great side characters from origin stories.
Yup. And then after that run is done, go back and do a "prequel" with Tenebrae and do an origin story explaining all his back story and him becoming eventually Valkorian...would be a dope movie

Not exactly. The Sacking of Coruscant was to force the Republic into an unfavorable peace treaty, that would give the Empire more time to consolidate their gains. Malgus was indeed furious, because he wanted to burn down Coruscant, rather than use it as a hostage negotiation.

@@HeatRaver You're half right because while that was what it seemed the real reason was to trick the Empire into allowing the republic to gain back some ground to rally to their cause so they might fight the Empire all the harder. The entire war was made just so Valkorian could rise and it's explained in an expansion. This truth of however was kept quite secret because he was literally tricking the whole of every Sith alive at the moment and it explains why the Emperor was such an absentee one: all because his real focus was elsewhere, Zakuul.
SWOTOR is one of those mmos where you can literal just ignore the mmo parts of the game and play it like it’s a single players RPG. The storytelling and choices are the best parts of that game and you basically get 8 completely different campaigns. The game itself was based on knights of the old republic which is a full on rpg from 2003 by the people who made mass effect and dragon age and it had one of the best stories in gaming. Also that game is getting a remake which I absolutely cannot wait for.
not to mention lots of side missions on the different worlds, it's fun just to dick around in it, and a good number of expansion content. plus, with multiple servers and such, you can even replay the various stories without having to reset your "main" characters. just create a new one in the same image and you are good to go!
Darth Sidious uses the force scream ability in episode 3 Revenge of the Sith when he fights the Jedi council. That's why they are all stunned when he spins into them.
That’s just head cannon to cover up a TERRIBLE real world mistake. They had a real lightsaber fight with a stunt double already filmed and George decided last minute to have the actual actor to do some half assed stabs

8:15... The closest thing we have is Empire at War: Forces of Corruption and playing the mods for that game. It still holds up all these years later. Almost 20 years at this point. And honestly, the Lego Clone Wars game for Wii (at least I had it for Wii) was along the same lines you are talking about, in regards to larger scale war.
This game is always such a throwback for me. When it first launched I pushed to lvl50 in a month and was fortunate enough to push realm first Eternity Vault and Hutt's Palace HMs. The best MMO experience I've had coming off the lessons from Wotlk. Played as a Trooper/Commando/Medic. It was an extra bonus getting to experience Shepard 2.0 for the class storyline

My problem with the way Malgus is portrayed vis a vis his philosophy, is that he is still to arbitrarily and unnnecessarily cruel a lot of the time.
The machine showed her what happened to her brother. He was capable of using the force but the Jedi picked her and left her brother behind. Malgus showed her that she had been lied to by her master for years.
@@VolrinSeth I kind of like it tbh. It shows that even though he has strong beliefs and wants to convince people of them he is still ultimately a sith and therefore selfish. His own personal gain comes before everything else. It gives more nuance to his character since they want you to agree with him but also see how evil he is despite that.

The ability the girl used was Force Scream, it's a dark side ability that Palpatine uses when charging towards windu and other Jedis and I'm pretty sure Anakin Skywalker has used before, I don't remember from where exactly.
Originally he just imitated a Krayt Dragon. I don't know if they changed the canon on that when they changed the sounds.
Palpatine also used it when confronted by the four jedi in RotS in order to quickly defeat three of them.

heck, each ONE of these trailers is a better story than the entirety of the sequels! the characters might not do much, but they do a lot in so little time and do it so well. you feel more interested/invested in ANY of these characters from the trailers alone than you do for most of the sequel characters.

SWTOR is the best MMO money vise...You need to sub it once to get all expansions up to date and even after stopping the sub you still get to keep them. It doesn't have pay to win element in a game since everything is cosmetic, mounts, pets....
Honestly, if they give that game a real facelift in graphics and make it again a bit harder, so you kind of feel you earned your story-related fights during the main character missions, they could resell it at full price again. I've never seen a game-it does not matter if MMo or single player-that made their class stories so great and breathed life into the world like this. Sure, nowadays games like Cyberpunk are on a different level in that regard, but overall, with the scope they offer and the diversity in everything, still second to none. Simple things as their hologram communicators, the awesome voiced dialogues everywhere you go (in the past). People to this day celebrating Dragon Age origins for their different starting character-stories -hell, this game blows that attempt out of the water by scope and diversity alone. What are they working on? A Gothic 1 Unreal Engine 5 remake? Great, but imagine this game like that.

From the moment I saw the Hope trailer back before release and when we got confirmed on what classes there were gonna be, I knew I'd pick Trooper first, and it's been my favorite (with Bounty Hunter a close 2nd) to this day.
We have had total war/strategy games for Star Wars. Several. Battlefront for the shooter experience as a boots on the ground soldier. For strategy we got Force Commander, a couple of others, but the big one that comes to mind is Empire at War. Extremely good real time strategy game, and it's still very much alive. Multiple mod communities still actively putting out updates and content to expand on what the base/official game offers and it still holds up to even modern standards. I don't know how is officially backing it as a studio but they just got a Steam update in the last year that upgraded the engine to run on 64 bit instead of the old 32 which greatly expanded the options available to mod authors.
Still baffles me why none of the movies or series were like these.

The action in the prequels are pretty on par with these action scenes. But ya this definitely seems to be the best medium for Star Wars content

There was a leak i think from CA. Would be cool as Halo Wars 1&2 were good. Mind i would prefer a Empire at War 2, becuse EAW with mods like AOTR, Remake, Thrawns Revenge, and RAW, is fantastic. Highly recomended if you havent played, but base game is bare bones and kinda janky compaired to most modern games. Its on steam quite cheep.

The reason the Jedi separate the children from their family is because of the rule against attachments. This is also why they don't normally take children over the age of 5-6. Family wields a powerful influence on the mind of a child, which for force sensitives, can cause them to lean into or fall to the dark side without ever realizing it. The Jedi seek to remove the attachments, and by raising them in the way of the Jedi Code, they hope to mold them into Jedi that can control their emotions and maintain a rational mind to better serve the will of the force.
It should also be noted that this was mostly a voluntary procedure. The parents reserve the right to refuse the Jedi, and they will not press it further. But it is incentivized, particularly among the poor, destitute folks in the Outer and Mid Rim worlds.
One of the reasons I think that they don't make things like this in live action is either because they'd mess it up or "star wars fans" will find a reason to hate it just because they aren't familiar with it and only like things if they're like prequel stuff

The Republic and the Sith Empire were in peace negotiations when Darth Malgus conquered Coruscant and the Jedi Temple. This allowed them to influence the negotiations in their favor. The Sith Empire returned the planet after the negotiations were concluded.
I play all classes, but my mains are Sith Warrior Marauder (Darth Varaxh) for the Empire and Smuggler Scoundrel for the Republic (Captain Fezobius)
When Jedi “take” children, they hardly (if ever) kidnap them. It’s like talking to the parents and advertising a special school for unusual children. A force child can be very troublesome to raise, so most parents agree to it even if it’s hard to say goodbye for them. Plus, they know the child can have a bright future doing some good in the galaxy.
"How did they get it back" The treaty of Coruscant between the empire and the republic happens just before you start the game. something like 15-20 years passes between the first cinematic and you creating your character in the mmorpg.
I've got more than two slots because I have been playing since the beginning and so I have several characters. My only max level one is an Inquisitor, though. Definitely my favorite class!

Star Wars Empire at War is an RTS game made about 20 years ago. That's the closest available thing to total war, but its not that great without mods. Rumor has it studio that makes total war games is making a new star wars RTS.
Back when it first came out i played a Bounty Hunter Mercenary because I loved the idea of shooting people to health with blasters lol, the next time I played the Tank Trooper and had my favorite PvP moments on that character.
My favourite Star Wars games are Kotor 1 and 2, the stories and characters are just so good. For gameplay I love Jedi Academy. If I’m feeling like playing something more modern I’ll play through Fallen Order, Jedi Survivor, or Battlefront 2. I used to play a lot of Swotor but I don’t have a good computer anymore.
Palpatine did it in Revenge of the Sith to get some of the lesser Jedi off balance.
Hello Mello you know speaking of Star Wars games if you ever get the chance mate I recommend playing Knights Of The Old Republic it's a fantastic RPG with interesting characters and lore, I also recommend Republic Commando, it's set during the clone wars and it does a great job of showing the war from a clone's perspective. The banter between the different members of Delta squad is great and amusing, the missions are fantastic, the weapons are a lot of fun to use and it makes you feel like you are part of an elite squad plus I've got the song Vode An stuck in my head. The original Battlefront games are a blast to play, Dark Forces is a 90s classic and I also recently got volumes 1 and 2 of the 2003 Clone Wars micro series on DVD which is awesome. Anyway take care mate.

I have multiples of every class, but, I have the most Sith Warriors. As far as my favorite SW game of all time, that would be Star Wars Rebellion. It was an early grand strategy style game. I still play it several times a year.

Sooo there actually several Star Wars strategy games. Less Total War, more Age of Empires.
But Empires at War was a really good one, especially the expansion that added as playable faction the Zann Consortium, a criminal empire that has amassed incredible power during the constant conflict, so they are trying to continue the chaos of said conflict.
Tldr: sith empires usually collapse due to infighting because sith teachings encourage it. Rule of two was eventually established to avoid it.
I do hope they come out with a new star war's MMO soon tho! it would be cool to see a 2024/updated version of the game. still good tho.
I played the game at release and played every class on both sides till level 50. So I completed all the story. It was so good.
The voice actress for the female bounty hunter character is the same woman that voiced Mandy in "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy." When you chose dark side dialogue options, you could almost hear that psychotic little blond girl.
I just started the game 2 week's ago! I have a Trooper/Sniper and a Sith Sorcerer! I really love this game so far. 100% recommend this game to new player's who want to start playing MMO in general. I just Subscribed like 2 hours a go and I 100% recommend everyone Subing to the game at least 1 time!

Valkorion, vitiate, tenabra, the sith emporer was over 1000 yrs old. H3 was born a pureblood sith. Killed his stepdad, tortured and killed his mom and then stripped his real father of the force at only 9,10 yrs old. He then had all the sith lords on his planet gather and he then proceeded to drain the force and life of everything on the planet, gaining immortality. He was both the sith emporer and the immortal emporer of zakuul having split his essence among two bodies. The twins and girl are his sons and daughter while he was valkorion. The women was the wife and the kids mom.
Have played SW:ToR since 2011 (first day; lets gooooo! celebrate the server issues!), though I was still depressed SWG was "killed" to make room for this MMO (favorite Star Wars MMO will always be Star Wars Galaxies -- smuggler, bounty hunter, beast mastery were so good! Space combat, especially as a pilot, was insane for an MMO, and it still had, to this day, the best crafting/vendoring/housing system I've ever seen. Story was nice too, though ToR has it beat by lightyears. Those class stories are amazing.).
I've taken long breaks (years long in some cases -- I couldn't resist the call of WoW and CoH), but I've unlocked the entire legacy system (gotten the maxed-out achievement/buff) for all eight classes (4 Pub, 4 Imp). I think I have... 30 something characters in ToR.
Favorite classes? Jedi Knight and Smuggler (Pub). All 4 classes Imp side, though Warrior and Agent are best -- most agree Agent is the best class story in the game. Sith Warrior and Jedi Knight form the backbone of the entire ToR story, up until KotFE and KotET. Smuggler is good too, though mostly because of its tie-ins to other class storylines.

The 4th trailer depicts Valkorion, ruler of the Eternal Empire, and his twin sons Thexan and Arcann. Valkorion is actually the Sith Lord Vitiate, who used his power of Essence Transfer to take over the body of the original Valkorion and claim the Eternal Empire of Zakuul for his own. I agree about Acolyte. They started with an interesting plot premise, and completely sh*t the bed in the execution... I disagree about Andor, tho. I think there's an issue with people forgetting the "Han Solo" aspect of the greater Star Wars lore. It's not all about powerful, mystical Jedi saving the galaxy, but also the "ordinary person" element of everyday people coming together in the face of seemingly unstoppable evil. They stand up and fight despite not having any exceptional powers. That is the importance of Han Solo in the OT, and it's a theme they expand on in Andor. I thought it was extremely well made, well acted, and well written. People can not like it, that's fine if it's not your cup of tea, but George Lucas included the story of regular people standing up for freedom for a reason, and I like that Andor continued that story.

This era is before the rule of 2. And Malgus didn't play her, per say. He left her there like that, seeing it as that she needs to learn to break free and help herself. Him aiding her wouldn't help her, as she had a master before that hindered her.
I enjoyed it as an MMO but it eventually felt lacking in content, so I'd just pop in play the new stuff and lose interest. Now it's been contracted to another company to manage it so I doubt there will be much content of substance. Definitely hop in, the story is good. Plus (at least last I played) if you subscribe for 1 month you get all the expansions, so just do a month and you'll unlock everything, even if you don't subscribe past a month you'll keep it unlocked

There is a Star Wars total war type of game called Star Wars Empire at War it is pretty dated but there are mods that make it up to date. It is super fun I highly recommend it with mods if you were wanting to try it out.

The reason why the sequels didn't have these kinds of lightsaber fights is because there were no jedi who had this knowledge living, all the knowledge died during order 66 and therefore Rey and Finn couldn't fight like this.

Star Wars Empire at War is a Strategy game, not quite a "total war" game like Rome. But an incredibly solid and goated Strat game
I had to pause for this. The rule of two didn't exist back in The Old Republic. It was made by Darth Bane about 2000 years after the Old Republic and ca. 1000 years before the movies. Also force screams exist like you were talking about using the voice. Also I recommend playing Swtor as the new trailers are just a little glimpse in what is actually a big Expansion story in the game.
