@@NPClownumber81googolplex Facts! Wish we got an Old Republic mature series with this level of quality, choreography, action, writing, grittiness, tonality, etc.
For the info, the armors of the Republic and Sith soldier look so much to the Clone Trooper armor for a simple reason. It's based on Mandalorian armor since the Jedi Mandalorian war, mostly because they saw it as most practical.
Came here to say that! Tons of armor in the Star Wars universe has been based on Mandalorian armor. Maybe not the most creative thing, but it does make sense lorewise.
Actually, it looks so similar because: They wanted to cash in on Microtransactions, and they didn't think they could do it with the original TOR designs so they went back to a GCW paradigm. It's lazy marketing. TOR has plenty of original designs that are extremely practical.
The other faction is Zakuul, the Eternal Empire. The father is an aspect of the Sith Emperor. Yes the girl is the sister to the brothers. She has a very tragic story.
@@WarrenGdog28His orginal name is Tennebre and Vitiate never got the title of Darth, he was just a Lord among sith. Similar to the Sith warrior who doesn't get the title of Darth as he gets promoted to Lord by Darth Baras and then promoted to Emperor's Wrath by Vitiate but never to Darth.
The timeline is about 3,500 to 4,000 before the Skywalker Saga. They also tie in very closely to Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords and set three hundred years after these games. - Return: about 38 years before the start of the game. This shows 6 of the main classes to play: Jedi Knight (Kao Cen Darach, the Zabrak Master), Jedi Consular (Satele Shan, the Padawan), Smuggler (Niko Okarr) and Trooper (Jace Malcolm) all Republic faction. On the Imperial side: Sith Warrior (Malgus) and Sith Inquisitor (Pure Blood Sith Darth Vinidcan). - Hope: The war has raged for 10 years. Satele now a full Jedi, possibly a Master. Jace Malcolm, CO of Infantry Squad 326, code name: Havoc Squad. Malgus now a Darth. - Deceived: Another 14 years have passed. Darth Malgus and his wife, Eleena Daru (the Twi'lek) go to the Temple. Master Ven Zallow confronts Malgus. Meanwhile, redheaded Mandalorian Shae Vizla (representing the Bounty Hunter class) helps takedown security. The Temple falls...soon after, The Empire and Republic sign the Treaty of Coruscant...10 years of peace. In the interim, Satele Shan (a major NPC in the game for the Jedi Knight) becomes the Grand Master of the Jedi Order. Darth Malgus is a Dark Council member, and shows up on the very last planet of the base game. The base game starts here. The only other class is the Imperial Agent (a James Bond like story in Star Wars). The game is fully voice acted and is amazing. Each class has a male and female voice actor, and you can play up to 12 different species once you unlock them. It is a game you can play at your own pace, and it is free to play. You are right, there is a whole lot of content to play, and the base game has about 200 hours of gameplay with the class stories alone. If you subscribe for just one month, you become preferred and all expansions to the date you subscribed open up for you: The first two expansions are Rise of the Hutt Cartel and The Shadow of Revan...Leading to the two biggest expansions... - Sacrifice: The promo for the Knights of the Fallen Empire (KotFE) expansion. Setting the stage for the Eternal Empire of Zakuul, ruled by the Immortal Emperor, Valkorian. His sons are Arcann (in the white) and Thexan (in the black). The game expansion takes place soon after The Shadow of Revan, and then jumps 5 years very quickly... - Betrayed: The promo for the Knights of the Eternal Throne (KOTET) expansion, introducing Senya Terall, the mother of Arcann, Thexan, and Vaylin...the girl. She was once very much in love with Valkorian. This expansion flows immediately from the previous one, as it is one big overarching story. All told, I think that the timeline in the game is about 15 years or more from when the player character starts the base game to the end of the current expansion. - Disorder: The last cinematic was for The Legacy of the Sith expansion...although it is more like a huge Mandalorian storyline.
Malgus never reached the council. He was head of one of the empires expiditionary forces during the players main story before the expansions. He also appears atleast via holo several times tasking the players with flashpoint objectives. Such as Hammer station and a tomb of a sith i can't remeber the fps name
Yes, at the end of the base game, Malgus has gone rogue and tries to create his own Empire, on the planet Illum. Malgus is fed up with the Sith Empire's infighting. Time and again he has handed them victory, only for the other sith to squander it. Also, he sees strength a bit differently than more traditional Sith. They are concerned about species purity, he sees this is a weakness of the empire. He sees aliens as a source of strength, if he can cultivate their loyalty. After Illum, he disappears (thought dead), then reappears years later. In the last trailer, he is seeking that machine so he can find Force users rejected by the Sith and the Jedi, to build his empire. It is a huge disappointment that we, the players, can't choose to join Malgus. The guy follows a truer and more fair Code than either the Sith or the Jedi.
@@androxtempest3913 Yes he betrays the Empire on Ilum over the crystals to make his invisible armada fleet along with the captured star forge he tasked players with conquering earlier in the game. in fact its on Ilum where you can find logs saying Malgus was on the council but if you're playing a inquisitor you can call him out on it and infact it was the other 3 darths who head the militaries sphere's that sent him to clean up the military messes. Malgus had visions of destroying the Republic and between the infighting and the empire using his greatest achievement the sacking of the jedi temple as leverage to secure peace he became disillusioned with the empire and its politics and distanced himself from them.
@@RobertJones-vb2qithat's not entirely right! He was part of the Council but stepped down on his own if I remember correctly! I think it's never mentioned in the game but the Books should cover it
It's a shame your both never got into it. Swtor has some of the best Star Wars content out there. It's writing is better than most movies, and TV shows.
@@peo4989 You are out of your mind if you think that SWTOR even approaches KOTOR on a psychological level, or toys with the 'grey' aspects of the force like KOTOR 2 does.
I love how the duel in the first trailer ends up being a mirror of Qui-gon and Obi-wan's duel with Darth Maul. A Zabrak Jedi faces down against an experienced Sith master and his Apprentice, kills the master by running him through with a double-bladed lightsaber, only to be partially disarmed (reduced to a single blade) by the Apprentice (who uses telekinesis to take his fallen master's blade) before being killed by bisection. There's even a meaningful heart-to-heart (by Sith standards) between the wounded Master and his victorious apprentice before the Master dies (though obviously under different circumstances from how Qui-gon went), leaving his Apprentice to be elevated in his stead. The choice to use Duel of the Fates and the way the duel played out were both very intentional nods to the original Duel of the Fates in Episode 1.
The story is a continuation to the old KOTOR games. - In the first KOTOR game Revan and Malak, both legendary Jedi/Sith, were forced by Vitiate to turn to the Dark Side by dominating their minds. Later Revan turned back to the light, defeated his former apprentice Malak and went on a search with Meetra Surik, the main character of KOTOR 2, for the Sith Emperor Vitiate. - Then we get to the Revan Book, where Revan and Meetra get to a planet once called Medriaas, which was renamed by Vitiate to Nathema. - Nathema is a dead planet, void of the force itself. There is no life and people who stay on Nathema for too long get sick and mad. - There Revan and Meetra meet a Sith Lord named Lord Scourge, who was the Wrath of the Emperor Vitiate himself. Before that, Lord Scourge was plotting with Darth Nyriss to overthrow the Emperor, but not because they wanted his power but because they despised him for being the terror and death of the universe itself. - They have discovered that the Planet Nathema was so lifeless and void of the force because hundreds of years ago the Emperor conducted a Ritual on that planet called the Ritual of Nathema, in which he had absorbed the Life Force of 8000 Sith Lords and all living beings as well as the planet itself, rendering him immensely powerful and essentially immortal. - After that the Emperor build a new Sith Empire in the then unknown regions. - The Emperor soon discovered the plan to overthrow him and killed the entire Dark Council, even those who didnt plan to overthrow him, to send a message. - Revan, Meetra and Scourge used the chaos to confront the Emperor and kill him, but Scourge betrayed Revan and Meetra because he had a vision and knew that Revan wasnt the one to kill the Emperor, so Scourge stabbed Meetra in the back killing her instantly to gain the trust of the Emperor. Revan got mentally imprisoned by the Emperor for 300 years. - After quite some time the Empire then came back conquering one planet after another which leads to the first trailer (Return) The first 3 trailers tell the story of the Emperor and his Sith Empire, the 4th and 5th trailer is also the Emperor, but in another body and with a new Empire. The last trailer tells the story of a holocron of a female Dark Lord of the Sith called Darth Nul. Her mind was also dominated by the Sith Emperor Vitiate, he turned her to a Sith because she had a special ability and together they created powerful and destructive Artifacts. (His power and will, but her methods and inventions) After the Sith Emperor had no use of her anymore he got rid of her and deleted all records of her. This is where we are at right now. Basically what you can take from this is that Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion as the Sith Emperor is mostly known is a very terrible person who has caused nothing but pain and destruction all over the galaxy to both the Sith and Jedi. Lets just say that he was so evil that even the Sith despised him at the end and teamed up with the Jedi to get rid of him.
Some of the Classes. The Imperial Agent never showed up in any of the trailers. It would have been cool if we saw a sniper setting up to shot someone or something, but does not matter that much.
After the events of the first three scenes, the Jedi managed to assassinate the Emperor, and Malgus made a play for the throne, but lost to the Dark Council. It also turned out the Emperor wasn't exactly as dead as we might've liked. In fact, once his plan was revealed, it was so monstrous and omnicidal that the Sith Empire turned on him too. Valkorion, the man in the following two cutscenes is the leader of the Zakuulian Empire, who took advantage of the Republic and Empire bleeding each other white to make a play for galactic dominance. They managed it, too, for about 6 years. Do you guys want a summary? Tenebrae is straight up the best villain Star Wars ever had. I wish they'd kept on Doug Bradley to voice him as Darth Vitiate. These are still actually sort of canon. There was a Revan Legion in The Last Order.
High Republic doesn't replace the Old Republic. The Old Republic is a lot further back in the timeline. But yes new canon borrows a lot from TOR. The fight in the rain in the second Eternal Empire series is one of my favorite cinematic fight choreography. And the embracing the the imperfections of the Jedi in the last one was fascinating. Malgus definitely became an interesting...'villain'. Not implying he's a good guy, but he's a lot more complicated as the series goes on. There are tons of different costume parts in the game, including various cybernetics. When I still played I had an alt that was mostly cybernetic except for torso and head. Had someone said to me once, your character must suck if they are always losing limbs in fights. My response was, he didn't lose them in fights, he chose to be that way.
@@saitouhajime3 that is true but that has no importance in old republic as thats not an issue during this time. i have an alt that chose to go full cyborg and is a force user ergo a sith inquisitor/lighting sorcerer.
Return's 2v2 duel is still the best lightsaber fight in all of Star Wars. The fight itself tells a story, is not unecessarily dragged out (unlike the Mustafar duel) and shows off just how badass both Malgus and Battlemaster Kao Cen Darach were relative to the other two duelists. EDIT: And 'Sacrifice' is one of the greatest storytelling trailers ever.
The best part about these trailers is that they still hold up 13 years later (referring to the first three, here). I'm just disappointed that they never managed to make a Star Wars game look like this--talking about the studio. I would watch these stories animated! Why hasn't Disney jumped at these stories? The views on the official channel alone show that there is interest here. A lot of interest!
thats a lot of compute power just to render a single frame of this kind. yeah, its kinda achievable on modern graphics cards, but back then...hell no. and you cant really retrofit such graphics into ancient RPG engine.
I've always thought that the Republic troopers looked like clone troopers, was because the Kaminoans were given the designs of these ancient Republic Troopers by Dooku. Similarly, the Clone Wars era ships used Sith designs because Sidious and or Dooku provided them for whatever corporation built them.
Also the Republic would want to hearken back to a heroic past for propaganda. And Palpatine turning the symbol of the Republic into the hated stormtroopers so that entire aesthetic becomes tainted for good. The New Republic never adopted armor like that because of that.
In resume for you, Malgus went rouge 'cause he got mad by the peace treaty the empire made to the Republic after the battle of Coruscant (Trailer #3), then when the sith emperor was defeated by the Hero of Typhon, Malgus seized the opportunity to take that void of power and create his new empire and declared war to both sides and in the end he was defeated, he stayed on stasis for 6 years and was awaken by Darth Acina (The New empress of the sith) she used him as her personal puppet but he manage to break free and then is the events of the Trailer #6, he has a plan that we still don't know what it is...
The first three were done by Blur Studios. They are owned by the director of the first Deadpool movie, Tim Miller. He probably was the one that directed the cinematic's.
The first three trailers; Returned, Hope, Deceived was about the vanilla game content. The next two with the twins and girl was the Eternal Empire expansions (2015). Prince' Arcann and Thexan. Vaylin, their sister. Emperor Valkorian, their father. Last trailer was for the current expansion, Legacy of the Sith (2021). Content for this is still slowly but surely rolling out. The next story chapter should be dropping very soon...hopefully. I've been playing this game on and off since launch. As someone mentioned earlier in the comments, it is one of the few things that still feels Star Wars nowadays.
There's so many small bits of lore spread out amongst all the trailers, especially the first three, but I'll leave you with this one bit if no one has said it already. Satele Shan is actually the great granddaughter of Bastilla Shan and Darth Revan from the Knights of the Old Republic games. By the third trailer (even though she wasn't in it) she held the rank of Jedi Grandmaster, the same rank Yoda held during the prequels
not sure why people are so surprised. the gameplay and graphical quality may be dated but it has some of the best writing of any mmo. i get that it's not for everyone but i think it gets more hat than it deserves.
It's the only MMO that feels like a story. Best MMO ever. I wasn't even much of a SW fan before starting it, and I still prefered it to all the others. And then I became a SW fan *because* of this game.
It's too bad the live action movies and TV shows don't have dynamic action scenes like this. The animated shows and games are so good with the action scenes and deal with more mature themes. I know the movies want to cater to all ages, but I think an action-packed, mostly serious movie would be extremely appealing.
You've gotta sink your teeth into this lore and time period man, its class. If you're looking to get into it, there's tonnes of audiobooks set in this period.
Star Wars Galaxies was one of a kind. I bought it at launch and walked away from it twice only to come back and find myself enjoying it despite the changes. RIP Tempest server.
I've avoided all of the Bad Batch reactions because I don't want to be spoiled (watching season 3 is something I want to EVENTUALLY get around to doing), but since this video is safe, I gotta say that I love that you and your father do these reactions. Being able to bond with a parent over a shared love for something is really special and awesome! I also don't blame you for avoiding playing TOR. As a former player, I can tell you that it is VERY easy to get lost in the game. It has a scary amount of story content and customization options.
Return and Hope are my favorites, in Return the lightsaber fighting is amazing, and in Hope the wide scale battle was mind blowing especially when the Chad troopers took down a Sith
I have never clicked on something so fast, this was absolutely amazing! Loved your reactions, they were so fun especially because these trailers were so important to me growing up as a Star Wars fan. The faction you didn't know is called The Eternal Empire, headed by Emperor Valkorion who is actually a renegade Sith Lord by the name of Dark Vitiate, who seeks immortality above all. And yeah, he was the father of all the kids he turned into his weapons. The storyline was actually really fun.
Love that you guys are seeing these! These trailers are amazing. The second trailer sold me so hard on being a Trooper in the game. Pushing through force lightning to try and straight up knife a Sith Lord. Love it.
For context, the first three video happens before the start of the game, then the 4th is after the expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire. That old man is the real end vilain, the Immortal Emperor Valkorion, sitting on the Eternal Throne of the Empire of Zakuul. The other SIth empire was a deception to weaken the Galaxy, so he can crush it with his Eternal Fleet...Sound familiar ? And it came way before Rise of Skywalker !! The Old Republic timeline must become canon, it's way too interesting !!
there's a reason why Satele Shan is the Grand Master of the order during this time, she was and is a bad ass but given her lineage that doesnt surprise me
There are 4 classes for The Republic(Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular) and same 4 classes mirrored (Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent, Sith Warrior and Sith Inquisitor) on the Empire side, each have a unique class story so 8 unique class stories in total, so there is great replayablity in this game, this is where the $300 million was spent making this game, all are voice acted and you can access them free to play. You can basically play this game as a single player game or co-op or as an MMO. Most of the characters you see in the first 3 Trailers are NPCs and companions for the various classes. The other trailers are for the subsequent expansions for this game. Some of the stories in the Trailers are continued into the game itself and you find out more about the characters.
I need to get back into this game. I'm still not yet all caught up, with any of my characters, to the current updates. There are 8 different classes with their own storylines, companions, and playstyles. Everything after the main class missions up to The Eternal Empire stuff is the same per faction, then the Knights of the Fallen Empire and Knights of the Eternal Throne expansions are the same to all. The following expansions go back to faction based storylines.
On sacrifice and betrayed, the old man (Valkorion, Vitiate) is basically the Old Republic Emperor. He basically recreated and lead the Empire for almost 1,500 years until it met his goals, then "abandoned" it. While simultaneously building up another Empire in the unknown regions of the Galaxy on a planet called Zakuul, the Zakuul Empire. There's also some stuff with Revan just a bit before he leaves the Empire, but that's not really mentioned in the trailers. The Emperor's ultimate goal is to basically devour the Galaxy. The two men in sacrifice are his sons, Thexan and Arcann. Arcann is the guy in white and Thexan in Black. They also have a sister, Vaylinn, she's the girl in betrayed. Valkorion is "killed" and his son Arcann rules over his Empire and goes to war with the Republic and Empire, for a time. Then is defeated. The Emperor also has to be "killed" a second time since his essence still exists and can possess people (player character). Hope, Return, and Deceived take place just before Old Republic MMO game takes place. Disorder takes place after the Emperor is officially destroyed.
I played SW:TOR at launch for maybe 9 months after it came out and it was really well made but there wasn't much to do once you finished the main storyline, however they have steadily released expansions and now it's quite a big game. I picked it up again after the expansion that the "Sacrifice" and "Betrayed" trailers show had come out and that was one of the best Star Wars stories I'd ever experienced. I had not seen the last trailer but I know who Malgus is so I have some ideas about what that is about. There is an idea that has been expressed in various SW stories that suggests that the Jedi/Sith dichotomy fundamentally misunderstands the true nature of The Force, and the game spends quite a bit of time exploring that. I'm too burned out on SW and Jedi at this point to go back again, but if you enjoy that part of SW, the game is definitely worth checking out.
Always respect for fellow SWG players. It was a not so long ride, full of dispair but I can't think of a guy who played it Pre-CU, CU or NGE that didn't enjoy it FULLY at some point.
@@swayenderblade1887 Well, you need to sub only 1 time. When your sub expires you remain "prefered" which mean you can play forewer at max level on all your future or current characters. Plus you get access to all expansions. The only downside being non-sub is that your credits are cap to 1 milion on you. But you can draw unlimited amount from your cargo. Right now you cannot play all expansions or reach max level if you never subbed. So you can sub for 15$ and enjoy the game :)
The Jedi Knight that Malgus killed at the end of the Deceived trailer is known as "Ven Zallow". Malgus actually talks about Ven Zallow a little bit in his Rim Campaign journal entries in the Book of Sith, and the little droid that showed up was T7-01 (I believe), who's a companion you get if you play the Jedi Knight story in the game.
No kidding, SWTOR's Eternal Empire saga was hands down some of the best Star Wars content ever produced for a Star Wars game especially considering none of it is related to the "main" story of the movies The storytelling and level of quality of that triple-expansion was so high that it cost Bioware a fortune it did not have and will probably never be possible for SWTOR ever again because they went that hard with it
If you have played the sith warrior side in the game the MC has a fire line "You Jedi are weak you either fall to the dark side or fall to a siths might" goosebumps 🥶🥶
The Old Republic troopers look like clones because lore-wise, the clones' armor were based off of them. The Republic used to have a standing military until the Ruusan Reformations dissolved the Republic military entirely. But it's not like the armor designs went away, they just weren't used until Master Sifo-Dyas and Count Dooku gave the designs to the Kaminoans, who modified them to fit the GAR.

Oh you guys should react to a video on the life of Emperor Vitiate he’s the strongest with ever imo we see him here but his legends life story is great
About Malgus: there is a novel that resorts him after the battle in the Jedi temple. He was a Sith warrior through and through and believed his victory was the key to let the Sith rule over the galaxy and destroy the Jedi. Due to political scheming by other dark lords in the novel such as Angral (who you fight in the Jedi knight story arc) and Lord Adraas. Malgus eventually loses faith in the empire as he realizes it’s only full of political scheming and not about the sith. At the end of the novel he decides to go rogue. In the Sith warrior arc there is a bit where he crowns himself sith emperor
Korriban is the historical name for Moraband So it is like some people still call Istanbul for Constantinople, but it will always be Korriban for star wars fan
there's like a 40-50 year time gap in story between the first cinematic and the final one. the character you play as in the story happens right after the Fall of Coruscant cinematic
In the first traileer Satele Shan felt tje death of her master in close proximity. In the 2rd trailer when Darth Malgus killed the master on Coruscant his padawan felt his death on another planet. The 3rd trailer corresponds to the book by the same name "Decieved" A lot of backstory in the book and characters that appear further on in the game.
I’ve been playing Star Wars the old republic a lot and not too big with playing with other players, but I’m starting to be willing to try it. Maybe one day I’ll meet my future girlfriend on there lol. I love it as a Star Wars game, as long as you can ignore the “subscription” lures they have, it’s a good game. Good stories, funny characters, villains that you can hate with a passion, and annoying characters too. Right now I’m trying to complete some of the “legacy goals” by going to planets like Tattooine and killing 2,500 Sand People (Tusken Raiders, but they aren’t called that until the Raid of Tusken). I highly reccomend you at least give it a try cause it’s free on Steam, and with the hours I put, I got the subscription because I want to contribute to the game’s success.
The three first ones are released before the game, the three later ones are for the expansions. the Father is the Sith emperor that gave up on the sith and tried something else with Zakuul, "the eternal empire" way out in the unknown regions. 37:06 The fighting in the first trailers actually do a great job showcasing the different classes and their abilities, both with the force and the weaponry. Valyn, (the sister) is pure uncontrolled madness, and she is just the worst. the story with the sister is what made me lose interest in the game for some time, I gave up playing for about 3 years but returned during covid lockdown. I have not regretted that.
I would recommend KotOR and KotOR 2 before SWTOR, in order to appreciate it fully. It's a big commitment but so is reading a book or watching a tv series. That "father" is my second favourite character in all of Star Wars, behind Darth Sidious. Malgus and Vader might look cooler but there is just something about the big bad. That's enough spoilers, the only way to really experience the story is to play the games.
Back during thee COVID lockdown, I had a dream. An idea for how to bring people together to fight boredom. I began to dig in a specific spot in the Imperial Fleet. At first, I was all alone.. But within a week, I had enough people invested that we were actually taking shifts! But we didn't only dig, oh nonono. We actually managed to have enough people/clout to stop toxic chats easily. We kept the fleet clean, while digging for an imaginary holocron that could destroy the republic fleet! I even came up with a name for the crew: the Imperial Fleet Excavation Expedition, or IFEE. We all got so many private messages, and some public ones as well for our hard work. Both in digging for the Empire, and keeping things good and wholesome. It was actually some of my most fun experiences in SWTOR.
13:01 Malgus actually tries the same technique he used to disarm her in the first trailer. But Satele is more powerful, and no doubt remembers it. It doesn't work this time. :)
The game is great I have been playing it for 12 years. The plots and fights are better than anything Disney has done. It may be interesting for you to know that the girl "Vaylin" is the daughter of the Emperor. She is far stronger than Sidious and Vader combined. Only Valkorion is stronger than her. Everyone thinks that Sidious is the strongest, but he is not. Sidious isn't even in the same league as Valkorion.
Former Galaxies player here since pre cu was on the Kettemoor server, Master TK, and Creature handler on the side, Ace pilot for the Galactic Empire and had the highest military rank you could get at the time I had Unlocked force sensitive right before they just gifted jedis.... God How I miss SWG you guys got my like just for being SWG brothers. I did Love the Stories by SWOTOR and got all my chars of every class at max lvl lol but have not played since the last malgus story. been waiting for more story content but now i doubt it will happen.
What would I give to have a father I could have played SWG back in the old days. Had a lot of fun with it for 5 or 6 years, though. And if people are interested in it, there are still emulated servers up there to play Star Wars Galaxies these days. Highly recommend it.
That firey orange glow of the sith eyes. Tht passion and anger. The twin wasnty trained in the dark from birth so he didnt have the control. Which is what vitiate wanted. I wanted the darkside
34:40 Well, that's where playing the game comes in now doesn't it :)? I would say that SWTOR is mostly dozens of different KOTOR games put together, with a post-game holding it up to keep the lights on. Every class has their own story for the base game, and it's split between two different factions so you have an unfathomable number of hours of story to take in.
please, both of you, there are many excellent Star Wars fan films on UA-cam! If you can, react to them! I think everyone would love to see you react to them!!
I still think, making the old republic canon again could save the entire franchise and even be used to explain all the sequel nonsense away, for example, by connecting Palpatine to the original emperor Tenebrae, Vitiate, Valkorion... Simply put, the original emperor could be used to explain many things, including Rae... When you look at Vailyn, Rae suddenly isn't that overpowered anymore. And there are a lot of other points, that would save the entire thing.

@@RobertJones-vb2qi i think at one point malgus betrays the sith empire
On my opinion it is good, but not as good as KOTOR
@@darthsethur2904 Kotor is trash compared to this
@@peo4989 You are out of your mind if you think that SWTOR even approaches KOTOR on a psychological level, or toys with the 'grey' aspects of the force like KOTOR 2 does.
Mind blown.
Bro I've seen that cinematic so many times and I never made that connection, that's crazy. Thanks for the insight!
I never thought of that before
The story is a continuation to the old KOTOR games.
- After quite some time the Empire then came back conquering one planet after another which leads to the first trailer (Return)
The first 3 trailers tell the story of the Emperor and his Sith Empire, the 4th and 5th trailer is also the Emperor, but in another body and with a new Empire. The last trailer tells the story of a holocron of a female Dark Lord of the Sith called Darth Nul. Her mind was also dominated by the Sith Emperor Vitiate, he turned her to a Sith because she had a special ability and together they created powerful and destructive Artifacts. (His power and will, but her methods and inventions)
After the Sith Emperor had no use of her anymore he got rid of her and deleted all records of her. This is where we are at right now.
Basically what you can take from this is that Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion as the Sith Emperor is mostly known is a very terrible person who has caused nothing but pain and destruction all over the galaxy to both the Sith and Jedi. Lets just say that he was so evil that even the Sith despised him at the end and teamed up with the Jedi to get rid of him.
i loved how the 'Return' cinematic really shows of the difflerent classes you can play.
Some of the Classes. The Imperial Agent never showed up in any of the trailers. It would have been cool if we saw a sniper setting up to shot someone or something, but does not matter that much.
Thank you for being the only guys who realized those twins were taking on both the jedi and the sith for what the felt was right.
Swtor is one of the greatest star wars games ever. Not just because of the game play but the storytelling. And the way it expanded the lore.
Swtor is literally lore porn for any star wars fan. I played every force user class at least twice except the consular.
Hope he's not a force wielder. Less flesh gives you less connection to the Force. Or so I've read.
@@saitouhajime3 BH.
Facts!
The lightsaber fights in these cinematic trailers are the best lightsaber fights in any media outside the prequel trilogy.
Lol the prequel trilogy fights are horrible 😂.
The prequel trilogy is abomination.
Should never been created in first place.
Probably a few more greats in there as Revan's era was like 300+ years before this
this game.. is .. surprisingly... the most played star wars game to this day...
not sure why people are so surprised. the gameplay and graphical quality may be dated but it has some of the best writing of any mmo. i get that it's not for everyone but i think it gets more hat than it deserves.

RIP Tempest server.
rip tempest!
Return and Hope are my favorites, in Return the lightsaber fighting is amazing, and in Hope the wide scale battle was mind blowing especially when the Chad troopers took down a Sith
these trailers are so badass.
Love it.
"Malgus... Traitor!" Dude, you were just in his way.
The trooper armor is correct. Infact the Clone armor was modeled after the Tropper armor.
I love this game so much! Oddly enough playing a lightside sith warrior is very fun.
Possibly the 2nd best story overall. I mean, how do you beat the IA...
I prefer lightside sith inquisitor.
there's a reason why Satele Shan is the Grand Master of the order during this time, she was and is a bad ass but given her lineage that doesnt surprise me
"Don't bring a knife to a force fight" lol, bring Jedi Grand Master (to be)...and a thermal detonator. :D
Some of the stories in the Trailers are continued into the game itself and you find out more about the characters.
the 4th and the 5th is about the TRUE EMPIRE
Eternal Empire.
Have to leave a like and comment for Major Dad! Always enough his commentary and insight!
Get these Game writers to write for the movies. Make Star Wars great again.
In terms of story the Old Republic is amazing. I never really liked playing MMO's but I have played a lot of this one.
Satele Shan is descended from Bastila and Revan
the jedi battle master in deceived was such a badass
also this timeline is 300 ish years AFTER KOTOR

No kidding, SWTOR's Eternal Empire saga was hands down some of the best Star Wars content ever produced for a Star Wars game especially considering none of it is related to the "main" story of the movies
The storytelling and level of quality of that triple-expansion was so high that it cost Bioware a fortune it did not have and will probably never be possible for SWTOR ever again because they went that hard with it
If you have played the sith warrior side in the game the MC has a fire line "You Jedi are weak you either fall to the dark side or fall to a siths might" goosebumps 🥶🥶
I LOVE that Malgus is pretty much RIGHT in the last trailer!
Darth malgus é muito badass ,ele e satele shan tiveram uma das melhores rivalidade da franquia 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Those Harrower-class Star Destroyers are gorgeous. Best capital ships in all of Star Wars and I'll die on that hill.

Korriban is the historical name for Moraband

You really dont need a huge time commitment its very easy to take the game's stories in smaller chunks as you're available
your dad multi boxing Star Wars Galaxies is the greatest
there's like a 40-50 year time gap in story between the first cinematic and the final one. the character you play as in the story happens right after the Fall of Coruscant cinematic
Man, I miss Galaxies so much. I loved the old system before they switched it to classes and level.

Damn, now I want to play the game again 😁
Yes, some old SWG Players. I am sure i would still play it today. Well i did for some time on a private server. I miss the good old time.
this is also not the original speech that Malgus says at the end of the deceived cinematic
21:10 hes one true immortal 1000yo Sith Emperor- Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion and his family* (he make 3rd imperium- Zakuul)
Thiss!! I want movies of this!! 🔥🔥
I wanted the darkside
also high republic takes place after old republic
34:40 Well, that's where playing the game comes in now doesn't it :)? I would say that SWTOR is mostly dozens of different KOTOR games put together, with a post-game holding it up to keep the lights on. Every class has their own story for the base game, and it's split between two different factions so you have an unfathomable number of hours of story to take in.
They do flesh out these stories. In the game, but it is a MMORPG so takes time to play through.
Great idea. SWTOR is my high school mmo of choice I had great time with it, especially vanilla content is great.
please, both of you, there are many excellent Star Wars fan films on UA-cam! If you can, react to them! I think everyone would love to see you react to them!!
Jace Malcom and Havoc Squad in the house
700 years than Vader come!
From Return to Deceived 28 years pass.
Malgus is so badass.....
Galaxies was the best!! Pre-CU player here. Chilastra server.
