- At the age of three, David Kim’s mother introduced him to the instrument that would become a central focus in his life. The concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra started off on the right foot as a child prodigy who learned the value of hard work and dedication from a very young age. In this interview, Kim talks about his unusual childhood, his challenging teenage years, and his road to college.
