    I gave up playing the violin long ago because I didn't have enough time to practise and got frustrated with the results... I was taught piano at first, but I loved the violin. Then Iater I dropped piano too and only had time to practise singing, which I always managed to continue alongside. When I listen to Vengerov, all those hours of my life dedicated to music stir up my heart and awaken intense feelings of gratitude for the beauty of the essence of life.

    I listened to Maxim on UA-cam when I was a child, fell in love with violin then. So funny to see how UA-cam and the digital presence evolved since then.

    Three things I just haven't gotten yet.
    1: How to whistle using fingers
    2: How to roll up a bag of chips so it doesn't unroll
    3: How to balance the violin consistently without my hands.
    But I guess that's what practice is for.

    Sad thing is no matter how much or how well you practice, majority of violinists will never make the dream of becoming successful soloist. Only those 0.01% will make it.

    Wrong! The movement of the right hand in Detache and Spiccatto is not the same! Detache is against the clock work and Spiccatto is with the clock work! Because the speed, it turns !
