you know i can play with my friends mostly my bro does but u see i play on ps3 and my bro mostly plays with our friends online in craete mode so maybe theres no promble with that? also i join some one popit puzzle game but i disconnect after a min or 2 but maybe this only works on crate? also my friends have no promblem playing with me online it lags a bit till they join but guessing kinda no promblem with plaing with friends on ps3 maybe taht the case eh?
Personally I never had any issues with LBP3 beyond the glitches and lag. Yes those were annoying and I’ll admit I’ve never really used the online play. But I still thought it was worth it for all the new tools. I’ve also never had any issues with the story mode. While my favorite creation from LBP2 flat out doesn’t work, I don’t regret playing the game. That said I have very much prefer Dreams, it has more tools, creating is much easier and faster, and there’s not an abundance of glitches.
It happens because LBP3 tries to automatically connect to the servers, but it fails every time due to everything not being correctly loaded. It's nothing serious, just a harmless error message
The games was bugged, that’s true, but it truly is lbp 3. Tbh the story didn’t really feel like something in lbp, maybe because it dosent have the normal media molecule style, but sumo really did a nice job with the creative part.
I love this comment. I've seen alot of people hate on games that truely don't deserve it. Your comment shows that LBP3 isn't as bad as many fans make it out to be. That gives me hope why that new Sackboy game is gonna rock. Sumo Digital know how to do a good game, just, they need more time for them since this game might have been rushed due to either Sony doing what Universal did with Spyro and Crash or because they didn't get it down on time. I give Sumo Digital the benefit of the doubt. So yeah, one last question, should I get Little Big Planet 2 and 3?

yeah, I was able to play through the whole game without any of the alleged save wipes and I almost never played online multiplayer so I never really had a bad experience with it
The story has some charm to it in my opinion, although I’ve only played 3, I thought the levels were cool setting wise and it had a full on relaxing charm, I would love to wake up in the morning and play levels while I had cereal. It just has that relaxing aura
im genuinely loving the lbp 3 story. the stories for 1 and 2 just got so strenuous to binge play. lbp 3 gives you a hub world, which lets you get a much needed break from the action
LBP3 is my 2nd favourite game in the entire series (Vita is my first). Some of the harmless glitches can honestly be pretty fun. (mainly the custom characters anywhere). To be honest, apart from the online diverging literally every 20 seconds and some bugs/glitches, the game is good. Also, LBP3 hasn't actually had an update since 2017. Also also, the PSN error thing is easily fixed by connecting online (by the play online button in the menu or community button in the pod).
Ah i remember the lbp2 days it was amazing and i still enjoy playing lbp3 even with its glitches its so fun making levels and some times just mess around in the moon
The only way you can join people “effectively” is to just push through it. You just have to keep on diving in, and if it doesn’t work, try again. It’ll eventually get you in a game, albeit a laggy one.
Cause they could, they wanted sackboy to not feel like a lonely thing....but it NEVER felt like it, sackboy was our own company itself, always has The creative tools were awesome but sometimes the gamr feels like they just gave us that as a consolation for not being able to make us feel like it was the real thing
Yes! I would've love a wing like gadget,and at the same time. We have jetpacks,or had them. Controlanators work so well too. I love making Dragons,right before my older PS3 like,died after about 6 years,I made one that could grab things,shoot lightning,damage other Dragons,buildings and such,teeth that CRUSHED things,and moved REALLY nice. But,hey,now that I know. It'll be easier next time!^^ I'm hoping for some sort of a LBP4 that will make me enjoy it as much as I did with the 2nd one. I played the 2nd one until I had NOTHING left to find.(I could never play online.) LBP has been my creative output. Everytime I had an Idea. I'd rush to my room and figure out how to do it(sadly,I can't make things walk,yet!) I've made all sorts of stuff. My main problem with LBP3 is freezing,it may have been my PS3,or dying in creative and then it freeze. May have been the disc,but. I love LBP2/LBP3,I just hope to go back to it. Or they release one that has all sorts of stuff,but sticks to the...style? Of the first two.
Odd sock and swoops powers are both in the dc level pack, you get the hero cape which allows sack boy to glide and the wall jump material, which is self explanatory
They could have made made them all gadgets, and everyone would have loved them. The Shrink-O-Ray for Toggle, Swoop-pack for Swoop, and Odd-Sock is just fast plus Wall Jump abilities.
I'm glad you came back to lbp3. Although the game is still not perfect, the community around it is in love, and it's great to hear you gave it a chance. Edit: I'm not gonna lie, me and my friends have been playing together on lbp3 for years, but it has been absolute hell sometimes. Most of us actually met on lbp3 :)
I went back to this game after not playing it for years. Idk how but the online worked! So I went to this house role play game and found these people role playing. I was also using voice chat so they sounded pretty young. One kid was wearing this outfit that didn’t look like a character I know. So I asked them and they said it’s their own character, that’s cool, I like seeing kids express their creativity so I asked what their characters name was Sans the hedgehog Best game 10/10
I only play LPB 3 for the create mode, making robots, guns, machines, puzzle things, and gadgets. And I don't even use any one of them in levels or anything, it's all about play, create, and share. (*I like your videos)
Man I just got LBP1 today after playing it years ago. It was supposed to be game of the year edition but I got scammed and ended up with the original disc. I don't mind too much though. Love the video dude. Thanks for the great content.
I too have every one of the problems you listed regarding the online part of the game Even worse, even when it works (which is very rare), I join some kid playing either a Sonic level, FNAF level or doing Roleplay I just gave up and uninstall the game lol Also I have the same error message as you when launching the game, I think that's because I tend to skip the intro too quickly and the game isn't fast enough to connect me in time, anyway it doesn't matter much you just need to press the "Community" button and it will reconnect you
Everyone has the error problem by skipping the intro. Lucky for me I don’t have it! Perhaps it’s because I play on PS3. Edit: Some glitches are actually useful! The transparent sticker glitch helps out a ton! It might give you a profile corruption or an error telling you to clean your pod or quit the game. The pod cleaning error happened to me. And if my profile ever should corrupt, I always have a backup! Yeah, nowadays, I back up my profile sometimes, but I should back it up everyday...
man, i wish LBP3 was more stable, maybe then i couldve played more with my friends, making movies, roleplaying as our oc's on the moon. i miss those days, shame i cant muster up the courage to play the game again because i keep feeling my nostalgia hitting me and bringing out the tears.
For the most part, I think Sumo Digital did a decent job with LBP3. The launch of this game was pretty abysmal, but I think the game is at least playable now, and I do agree that the story mode is no where near as good as the first two games. The LBP charm was just lacking in the story, and while I was fine with the hub system they went for, I still like the traditional level select more, but the thing I think I hate most about the story mode is how short it is. Legit on the day it came out, I was sick and had to stay home, so I hopped on my friend's PS4 and played the entire game, and I thought I was nowhere near done, but the game just ended after World 3 (not including the tutorial.) I think LBP3 is best when you're playing the custom levels and with local multiplayer, and I think the game is decently playable now when you go and play the custom levels. I haven't been able to test the online myself though because I don't have PSPlus, but after watching this video, I don't really feel like trying it out unless if I just decide to get PSPlus for like Bloodborne or something. LBPVita is a better singleplayer game imo, but my favorite (and I'd say the best) will always be LBP2 from Singleplayer alone. But I do admit whenever I want to play custom levels, I go back to LBP3 for that, even though I'm not a fan of the interface of this game. (I should probably try out the online multiplayer for LBP2 if that game's servers are still up.)
I really hope they end up making LBP4 because so much of what LBP3 added is amazing but it was bogged down from being rushed. With enough time in the oven, LBP4 can easily be the best in the series.

They should most defintely reboot LittleBigPlanet; they could disable the ability to copy levels and there may be a need to disable community prizes too. I feel that Dreams never suffered from some gamebreaking glitch across the whole game and I hope the same happens for a reboot for LittleBigPlanet. Stability and polish are insanely important to a game like LittleBigPlanet, and we should all be hopeful that Sony gives Sumo Digital the time and the money to make something great.
5:29 i had the same problem as you (kind of)! i remember somewhere around 2018 i had collected all three pearls in the swamp, but i couldn’t progress. i tried to beat the stages a second time and get the pearls again until i realized the game was completely unbeatable. this year though i finally deleted my old game and strated over, and i really enjoyed it
LBP2 is honestly my favorite. First LBP game I played. And have basically grown up with it? I'm hoping to get a PS4,or a PS5 maybe? And hope it's on there,if not. I'll try and find another PS3...
I absolutely love the creation mode on LBP 3, it’s the best part. I first played LBP in 2009 & I have to agree I miss the charm of the first 2 games, that was a huge part of the experience. The online is absolutely horrendous and it’s ashamed it has never been fixed, the dive-in feature is apparently still in beta & I don’t think it will ever stop being in beta lol. Levels are hard to find because the UI is always popping up loading screens every 5 seconds on the levels page. My only hope is that LBP 4 on the PS5 will eventually happen and all the bugs will be addressed 😁
I haven’t played this game since I was 10 . Ur right on the story I always felt other lbp games had it a little bit bettering story but I’m gonna revisiting this game soon!
As an LBP3 player, I know how to fix some problems you had in the game. Online multiplayer: You have to restart your game . The popit bug: Restart your game, or turn off the create mode settings. I probably know more, but yeah, Atleast it will kinda help.
when i got the game in 2014 i was like 7 or 8 and i wasnt allowed to play online and i never got my profile corrupted so to me it was the perfect game and it is still very good i might get the ps4 version sometime
I got lbp1 and LBP2 upon launch. So sad that I did not get this game upon launch this time around. Just played this game for the first time in 2020 and I am so impressed. I have yet to play Dreams, but I will and I think this is a great starting point. I was able to upload all of my everything from the first two games which is amazing! Great review stance and I am looking forward to keeping this community alive because I and so many others believe in Little Big Planet!
Recently received LBP3 and running it on a PS5 (Never had the 4). I get the warning at the beginning of opening the game that "unexpected behavior can happen" but for the most part, the game has been running fine for me...I spend a lot of my time in Create mode tinkering with different ideas and will play other people's levels but tend to play solo. Only hiccups I've experienced are "loading screens" when I'm searching for a level or sometimes when a level loads, I fall through the floor (which is quite rare). I am enjoying my time on this as I no longer have LBP1 and 2. Fortunately I've been able to find most of the materials/music from the first 2 game, though missing a couple of tracks. It's been a blast from the past when I played this 10 years ago.
Coming for someone who has been a big fan of the LBP series, it's so sad to see how LBP3 has turned out. I've had nothing but amazing memories on LBP1 & 2 and have made some amazing friends and memories along the way. Such a big shame with the online as I experience the same issues not being able to join people and loosing connection so easily. One of the biggest things that made LBP unique was the community and without having that, it just isn't the same game. I've came back to LBP3 on a few occasions over the years of it's release to see if there has been any changes, updates or even patches but sadly just disappointed every time. Only just recently been thinking about the game again and how much i miss it and have been considering giving it one. last. shot! I won't be holding my breath though lol. Good video bro!
Speaking of corrupted profiles, i know a way to recover anything you lose from moon or costumes! You make a locked level and put prize bubbles in it containing the items you wanna keep, then upload it and if your profile gets corrupt you can copy the level and play it to get your stuff back! To save costumes just place a sackbot with your costume on it and save it! Sadly you cant get back anything you get from anybody that isnt shareable.
Similarly to my thoughts about Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, it had the potential to be a better game, and the amount of content this game has compared to the first two main LBP games, despite it's major flaws, caused me to fall in love with it.

Well there's a thing, theirs a way to 100% of the time to join anyone Have the person who you have problems joining, join you instead Then have the person leave and follow them to their pod. i have used this method alot, and its a trick my friends and i have been optimizing for years, and this is the trick we have been using. its amazing and i hope it helps. its mainly for the "failed to reload level resources" glitch pm: Playing glitch levels or time savers can cause corrupt profiles, also you have to restart up the game after joining someone 2 times as it causes you to never respawn in he pod. also it will sometimes fail to join the first time, giving you the message "failed to load profile" im happy to help, and this should fix any problems you have for joining friends. sadly im not sure about diving in, and the PSN message i think is for when you get disconnected due to internet reasons.
I get the "failed to connect to online(0)" message almost every time I log in, too. Idk what's up with it, but i just connect to online with the "play online" option and I'm fine
The PSN error is completely fine. Clicking on any online section will attempt to reconnect. I have this error every time I load in. And I've never had to do anything to fix this error.
The video is hilarious, because it feels like I have had so similar LBP experiences during the past 10 years (or so). I played LBP 1 and 2 endless amounts to the point where many of my Playstation friends were often people with crowns and picks (one day I got one myself as well). Unlike you, I did not expect much from LBP 3 when I saw the first reveal trailer in E3. I remember being in a chatroom with other LBP community members who were immediately going to pre-order the game while I was the sceptic saying "haven't we seen most of this already?". I was particularly concerned about changing layer glitch of the previous games as an actual setting of the third installment. Having more than 3 layers in platforms ruined to me the simplicity of create mode and at the same time added unnecessary swinging back and forth in the gameplay. It wasn't something I needed for making fine levels in LBP 2 (where I could add stuff on the background with layer glitch if I wanted to). Consequently I never bought the game in its launch and I only tried it later after a considerable discount (the inability to play online properly was indeed mad). However, later I have given a lot of thought to my increased critic and decreased playing of LBP because it seems also clear that I simply grew out of the game. The same bomb and shark survivals which were extremely funny part of LBP 10 years ago, later started to resemble the worst of LBP, pure copy-paste joy. I noticed how random people joining me from dive in were looking up to my creations the same way I had once looked up to creations of others. During my last years I even went through a sort of postmodern art phase where I got fascinated by creating Warhol-styled versions of H4H without any real reason. I suppose at that point one either should establish a career around LBP or find something else to do. It is hard to see how I could have gotten excited enough by LBP 3 even without all its problems because all the new features were simply supporting the old format of LBP, not changing it to radically new direction. Yet, despite leaving the game, nostalgia lives on.

When I returned to LBP3 in the year 2020, (got a new PS4 Slim) and when I tried play, this was my experience: 1. This game is completely dead. No, not in levels being made, but the dive in feature is barely used.. 2. Like you said, there were barely any glitches. Also, if you have PS PLUS, you can ba- oh, you said it. Back up your profile! 3. Literally none of my friends were playing LBP3 anymore. This felt like a half-ghost town. 4. You're right about dive in being an absolute gamble, though I remember the online being 'less bad.' PSN (0) happens for everyone. I usually fix internet by going to PS4 Home Menu, and doing a connect test. Have fun, Blazing.
the join feature works if you go to the my friends tab and go to dive in. but that's my experience and I'm on ps3. that and the go online feature works okay.
LBP3, the Littlebigplanet for me. As an introvert, I play LBP alone. Honestly, I've only played PSP and Vita, but I'm getting a PS3 just for LBP1 2 Karting and 3 (I don't care for graphics)
LBP3 and LBP2 are hands down my favorite childhood games. LBP2 was a good time but i don't think i played it as much as i did the 3rd game. the 3rd game is still my favorite and i made so so many friends and my favorite memories on the ps3. i'm glad i never experience as many bugs as others. my friend riceMSTR disappearing is still my saddest video game moment.

I also didn’t come across any issues at all. My opinion on the more open story mode is that it’s really good! I like how theres a big environment with levels within it so you can just explore for most of it!
As someone who has been playing for 9,8,or 7 years now I can say that lbp multi-player is very glitchy but there are several ways to get around it. Almost every glitch can be avoided somehow.
I remember trying to play the story mode on PS4 ages ago, I literally forgot why I didn't play the whole story mode, but I remembered why a couple of weeks ago: I think I was in an early point in the story; I got to some place where I had to collect some marbles, and bring them to some machine or thing, I remember collecting them all, and when I went to the place it said I didn't have all the marbles, but I did have them. Back then I was just like 14 years old, I thought it was my fault, and just gave up on it, I didn't really like the story mode that much anyways, now I know the game was extremely broken. LBP1's story mode is always gonna be my favorite, for me, even LBP2's story mode wasn't as good, I really liked da vinci's hideout and avalonia, while still fun, I couldn't get to like the aesthetics of the rest of the worlds
probably a bit late but the way I was able to fix my online with friends problem was to go into a level I've made on the moon and then invite them. This also seems to works in lbp2 but that's only happened once
The answer to signing in after the error message is to go to your friends list and try to send an invite. At this point you will be asked if you want to connect to the PSN. It's an annoying glitch and it is wholy indicative of Sumo's blatant contempt for having been thrown a second hand bone and indignantly dropping it. This leads into another point you brought up. Not only is the charm factor missing but beneath this game beats a bilous heart. The settings are either dark or cynical and the characters range from soulless to screeching. In the first two games (as well as in Karting) the world's were vibrant and colorful and you felt you were fighting for a world worth saving for it's joyous inhabitants. In LBP 3 it seemed you were just trying to survive an onslaught of creatures that fought for supremacy at the bottom of a septic tank. It is a depressing and thankless chore. That brings up another one of your observant points: At their best the world of games in the LBP family were able to create a zen like flow once you mastered their simple navigation tools but in adding so many layers and tools to a platforming game things got way too complicated and that sweet rhythm was broken. In giving creators more options they snuffed out the intuitive controls required for basic gameplay. You mentioned the number of times new levels were played but that figure is as useless as opening weekend box office receipts. It only tells you how many people attended but says nothing about satisfaction. That freedom of expression was done away with shortly after the launch of LBP3 when they removed the option for expressing displeasure. You either UP voted something or had no input. I think that the real blame lies mostly and sadly on the shoulders of Media Molecule themselves. I understand wanting to grow but the real question is, "Have they?" "Tearaway" felt like a prolonged tech demo for the Vita (and eventually the PS4) and with "Dreams" they spent about 8 years to basically create a creation tool counting on creators to provide the content. Making matters worse was their misleading marketing. They pitched the beta at a $40 price tag with the promise of upgrading people who bought into the early access at no additional charge when the game released in full. What they didn't tell us was that the game would be releasing to everyone for $40.00. And what exactly was the game in full? Well it turns out to be not much more than an enlongated tutorial that you have to play through to unlock VR mode. I know that this sounds like a butter rant but let's weigh the evidence... You will have gotten alot of views based solely on the subject of the LBP franchise and particularly in the relevance to the least popular game in its history (which many consider to be the mail in it's coffin.) Meanwhile we hear no such lingering interest in either Tearaway or Dreams. In my not so humble opinion LBP3 proved that it took more than just transcribing existing code to breathe life into a new installment of LittleBigPlanet... It was the love of something by the original creator. That was the proverbial lightning in a bottle that Media Molecule gave up for adoption and the new parents just didn't understand the special nature of the soul they had been gifted with and that sense of "second hand responsibility" is painfully obvious. Needless to say that I was hesitant at best when "A Big Adventure" was announced and my apprehension was intensified after the developer video dropped a few days ago. If things weren't bad enough hearing that it was once again Sumo Digital behind the wheel there was a complete lack of enthusiasm in the presenter's voice as he discussed the game's features. This was not the voice of enchantment but rather simply of someone who felt as if they had delivered a serviceable game and come in on time. And the joyless voice was backed up with gameplay that revealed the same scowling character traits in the gameplay that sunk the ship of dreams when LBP3 was initially released. By the time that show was over I was convinced of one thing... Minus the mirthful spirit of it's original creators And a creation mode for it''s adoring community "A Big Adventure" will not be worth it's projected $60.00 asking price for me. I will probably wait to satisfy my curiosity until it shows up in the IGC in less than a year later (as did it's previous red headed step sibling.) While I will always love the original creations (as well as Karting) I know in my gut that Sackboy's stint in reform school has changed him and he will never be the same. Every dream comes to an end.
I've always maintained lbp3 is a pretty dope game, it's just not a great lbp cause it doesn't feel like it, which is natural cause lbp is s purely original MM concept, so if MM doesn't make it, it's not gonna feel like it
I never have problems playing online. The one and only problem I have had on this game is a create in pod glitch but this was kind of my fault because I literally looked at a list of all the glitches and saw a video tutorial for it. My profile was corrupted and I had to reset it and what not but I was delighted to see that my project that I was working on although a step back in completion was posted online still. With that in mind, a good way to combat corruption issues is to frequently post your levels online even if incomplete.
I can relate to what he said about the PS3. I've had mine for a LONG time, and nowadays I think it's on its last legs. It even had trouble with some of the LBP2 tutorials. Super sad since it's my favorite system. But I guess I shouldn't worry too much, seeing as the PS5 is coming out soon-- I'm just gonna miss LBP2. (I skipped an entire gen since I really only played the LBP games and a couple others, so I didn't really see a reason to upgrade.)
The problem with you connecting with your friends could be several things 1) They don't have PSP 2) Either your internet isn't strong or theirs isn't strong 3) Something bad happened to servers Here's something you can do to try and fix this: Create a party for LBP3 and invite your friends. That might be how you're supposed to do it the entire time and they just never told anyone
I use to have like 15 mm picks between lbp1 and lbp3 but as a creator i stop making levels after lots of (fail to load level) in lbp3 If u want to look for my levels search Angelo Mattei or AM Productions. Awesome video btw
Me and my best friend both played sitting RIGHT NEXT to eachother and we couldn’t even play together. It would take us 30 minutes to tweak with it and just out of pure luck would he connect. Again, we played on the SAME console and we couldn’t get his controller to connect!
Luckily I havent gotten every error yet, but it is super glitchy and bugged, the main level for the Manglewod Swamp is missing so many platforms that I cant move around the map and I'm stuck in one spot, and I cant even leave once I join
My biggest issue with LBP 3 was that no matter what I tried, I couldn't get all my LBP and LBP 2 DLC to transfer to LBP 3 on PS4, so I literally had to go out and buy the game again on PS3 just to keep my content.

Personally I never had any issues with LBP3 beyond the glitches and lag. Yes those were annoying and I’ll admit I’ve never really used the online play. But I still thought it was worth it for all the new tools. I’ve also never had any issues with the story mode. While my favorite creation from LBP2 flat out doesn’t work, I don’t regret playing the game. That said I have very much prefer Dreams, it has more tools, creating is much easier and faster, and there’s not an abundance of glitches.
If you go into the friends category on the bottom left the dive in button works but idk what up with that stupid lobby glitch
The (0) error happens for everyone. The reason is the online is so unstable that it won't connect automatically. So that's why that error shows up.

It happens because LBP3 tries to automatically connect to the servers, but it fails every time due to everything not being correctly loaded. It's nothing serious, just a harmless error message

The games was bugged, that’s true, but it truly is lbp 3. Tbh the story didn’t really feel like something in lbp, maybe because it dosent have the normal media molecule style, but sumo really did a nice job with the creative part.
I love this comment. I've seen alot of people hate on games that truely don't deserve it. Your comment shows that LBP3 isn't as bad as many fans make it out to be. That gives me hope why that new Sackboy game is gonna rock. Sumo Digital know how to do a good game, just, they need more time for them since this game might have been rushed due to either Sony doing what Universal did with Spyro and Crash or because they didn't get it down on time.

yeah, I was able to play through the whole game without any of the alleged save wipes and I almost never played online multiplayer so I never really had a bad experience with it

The story has some charm to it in my opinion, although I’ve only played 3, I thought the levels were cool setting wise and it had a full on relaxing charm, I would love to wake up in the morning and play levels while I had cereal. It just has that relaxing aura

im genuinely loving the lbp 3 story. the stories for 1 and 2 just got so strenuous to binge play. lbp 3 gives you a hub world, which lets you get a much needed break from the action
LBP3 is my 2nd favourite game in the entire series (Vita is my first). Some of the harmless glitches can honestly be pretty fun. (mainly the custom characters anywhere).
To be honest, apart from the online diverging literally every 20 seconds and some bugs/glitches, the game is good.
Also, LBP3 hasn't actually had an update since 2017.
Also also, the PSN error thing is easily fixed by connecting online (by the play online button in the menu or community button in the pod).

The only way you can join people “effectively” is to just push through it. You just have to keep on diving in, and if it doesn’t work, try again. It’ll eventually get you in a game, albeit a laggy one.

Yes! I would've love a wing like gadget,and at the same time. We have jetpacks,or had them. Controlanators work so well too. I love making Dragons,right before my older PS3 like,died after about 6 years,I made one that could grab things,shoot lightning,damage other Dragons,buildings and such,teeth that CRUSHED things,and moved REALLY nice. But,hey,now that I know. It'll be easier next time!^^
I'm hoping for some sort of a LBP4 that will make me enjoy it as much as I did with the 2nd one. I played the 2nd one until I had NOTHING left to find.(I could never play online.) LBP has been my creative output. Everytime I had an Idea. I'd rush to my room and figure out how to do it(sadly,I can't make things walk,yet!) I've made all sorts of stuff. My main problem with LBP3 is freezing,it may have been my PS3,or dying in creative and then it freeze. May have been the disc,but.

Odd sock and swoops powers are both in the dc level pack, you get the hero cape which allows sack boy to glide and the wall jump material, which is self explanatory
They could have made made them all gadgets, and everyone would have loved them. The Shrink-O-Ray for Toggle, Swoop-pack for Swoop, and Odd-Sock is just fast plus Wall Jump abilities.

Idk how but the online worked! So I went to this house role play game and found these people role playing. I was also using voice chat so they sounded pretty young. One kid was wearing this outfit that didn’t look like a character I know. So I asked them and they said it’s their own character, that’s cool, I like seeing kids express their creativity so I asked what their characters name was

Edit: Some glitches are actually useful! The transparent sticker glitch helps out a ton! It might give you a profile corruption or an error telling you to clean your pod or quit the game. The pod cleaning error happened to me. And if my profile ever should corrupt, I always have a backup! Yeah, nowadays, I back up my profile sometimes, but I should back it up everyday...
man, i wish LBP3 was more stable, maybe then i couldve played more with my friends, making movies, roleplaying as our oc's on the moon. i miss those days, shame i cant muster up the courage to play the game again because i keep feeling my nostalgia hitting me and bringing out the tears.
For the most part, I think Sumo Digital did a decent job with LBP3. The launch of this game was pretty abysmal, but I think the game is at least playable now, and I do agree that the story mode is no where near as good as the first two games. The LBP charm was just lacking in the story, and while I was fine with the hub system they went for, I still like the traditional level select more, but the thing I think I hate most about the story mode is how short it is. Legit on the day it came out, I was sick and had to stay home, so I hopped on my friend's PS4 and played the entire game, and I thought I was nowhere near done, but the game just ended after World 3 (not including the tutorial.) I think LBP3 is best when you're playing the custom levels and with local multiplayer, and I think the game is decently playable now when you go and play the custom levels. I haven't been able to test the online myself though because I don't have PSPlus, but after watching this video, I don't really feel like trying it out unless if I just decide to get PSPlus for like Bloodborne or something.
LBPVita is a better singleplayer game imo, but my favorite (and I'd say the best) will always be LBP2 from Singleplayer alone. But I do admit whenever I want to play custom levels, I go back to LBP3 for that, even though I'm not a fan of the interface of this game. (I should probably try out the online multiplayer for LBP2 if that game's servers are still up.)
I really hope they end up making LBP4 because so much of what LBP3 added is amazing but it was bogged down from being rushed. With enough time in the oven, LBP4 can easily be the best in the series.

They should most defintely reboot LittleBigPlanet; they could disable the ability to copy levels and there may be a need to disable community prizes too. I feel that Dreams never suffered from some gamebreaking glitch across the whole game and I hope the same happens for a reboot for LittleBigPlanet.
Stability and polish are insanely important to a game like LittleBigPlanet, and we should all be hopeful that Sony gives Sumo Digital the time and the money to make something great.

5:29 i had the same problem as you (kind of)! i remember somewhere around 2018 i had collected all three pearls in the swamp, but i couldn’t progress. i tried to beat the stages a second time and get the pearls again until i realized the game was completely unbeatable. this year though i finally deleted my old game and strated over, and i really enjoyed it

I absolutely love the creation mode on LBP 3, it’s the best part. I first played LBP in 2009 & I have to agree I miss the charm of the first 2 games, that was a huge part of the experience. The online is absolutely horrendous and it’s ashamed it has never been fixed, the dive-in feature is apparently still in beta & I don’t think it will ever stop being in beta lol. Levels are hard to find because the UI is always popping up loading screens every 5 seconds on the levels page.
My only hope is that LBP 4 on the PS5 will eventually happen and all the bugs will be addressed 😁

I got lbp1 and LBP2 upon launch. So sad that I did not get this game upon launch this time around. Just played this game for the first time in 2020 and I am so impressed. I have yet to play Dreams, but I will and I think this is a great starting point. I was able to upload all of my everything from the first two games which is amazing! Great review stance and I am looking forward to keeping this community alive because I and so many others believe in Little Big Planet!
Recently received LBP3 and running it on a PS5 (Never had the 4). I get the warning at the beginning of opening the game that "unexpected behavior can happen" but for the most part, the game has been running fine for me...I spend a lot of my time in Create mode tinkering with different ideas and will play other people's levels but tend to play solo. Only hiccups I've experienced are "loading screens" when I'm searching for a level or sometimes when a level loads, I fall through the floor (which is quite rare). I am enjoying my time on this as I no longer have LBP1 and 2. Fortunately I've been able to find most of the materials/music from the first 2 game, though missing a couple of tracks. It's been a blast from the past when I played this 10 years ago.
Coming for someone who has been a big fan of the LBP series, it's so sad to see how LBP3 has turned out. I've had nothing but amazing memories on LBP1 & 2 and have made some amazing friends and memories along the way. Such a big shame with the online as I experience the same issues not being able to join people and loosing connection so easily. One of the biggest things that made LBP unique was the community and without having that, it just isn't the same game. I've came back to LBP3 on a few occasions over the years of it's release to see if there has been any changes, updates or even patches but sadly just disappointed every time. Only just recently been thinking about the game again and how much i miss it and have been considering giving it one. last. shot! I won't be holding my breath though lol.

Speaking of corrupted profiles, i know a way to recover anything you lose from moon or costumes! You make a locked level and put prize bubbles in it containing the items you wanna keep, then upload it and if your profile gets corrupt you can copy the level and play it to get your stuff back! To save costumes just place a sackbot with your costume on it and save it! Sadly you cant get back anything you get from anybody that isnt shareable.
If you look past the glitches its a pretty fun experience
Similarly to my thoughts about Sonic the Hedgehog 2006, it had the potential to be a better game, and the amount of content this game has compared to the first two main LBP games, despite it's major flaws, caused me to fall in love with it.

i have used this method alot, and its a trick my friends and i have been optimizing for years, and this is the trick we have been using. its amazing and i hope it helps. its mainly for the "failed to reload level resources" glitch
pm: Playing glitch levels or time savers can cause corrupt profiles, also you have to restart up the game after joining someone 2 times as it causes you to never respawn in he pod. also it will sometimes fail to join the first time, giving you the message "failed to load profile"

For the psn error just go into the options menu and click play online. It works for me every time.
I get the "failed to connect to online(0)" message almost every time I log in, too. Idk what's up with it, but i just connect to online with the "play online" option and I'm fine

The PSN error is completely fine. Clicking on any online section will attempt to reconnect. I have this error every time I load in. And I've never had to do anything to fix this error.

The video is hilarious, because it feels like I have had so similar LBP experiences during the past 10 years (or so). I played LBP 1 and 2 endless amounts to the point where many of my Playstation friends were often people with crowns and picks (one day I got one myself as well). Unlike you, I did not expect much from LBP 3 when I saw the first reveal trailer in E3. I remember being in a chatroom with other LBP community members who were immediately going to pre-order the game while I was the sceptic saying "haven't we seen most of this already?". I was particularly concerned about changing layer glitch of the previous games as an actual setting of the third installment. Having more than 3 layers in platforms ruined to me the simplicity of create mode and at the same time added unnecessary swinging back and forth in the gameplay. It wasn't something I needed for making fine levels in LBP 2 (where I could add stuff on the background with layer glitch if I wanted to). Consequently I never bought the game in its launch and I only tried it later after a considerable discount (the inability to play online properly was indeed mad). However, later I have given a lot of thought to my increased critic and decreased playing of LBP because it seems also clear that I simply grew out of the game. The same bomb and shark survivals which were extremely funny part of LBP 10 years ago, later started to resemble the worst of LBP, pure copy-paste joy. I noticed how random people joining me from dive in were looking up to my creations the same way I had once looked up to creations of others. During my last years I even went through a sort of postmodern art phase where I got fascinated by creating Warhol-styled versions of H4H without any real reason. I suppose at that point one either should establish a career around LBP or find something else to do. It is hard to see how I could have gotten excited enough by LBP 3 even without all its problems because all the new features were simply supporting the old format of LBP, not changing it to radically new direction. Yet, despite leaving the game, nostalgia lives on.

The way I play online is to go the the moon creator and then using the join online option

When I returned to LBP3 in the year 2020, (got a new PS4 Slim) and when I tried play, this was my experience:
1. This game is completely dead. No, not in levels being made, but the dive in feature is barely used..
2. Like you said, there were barely any glitches.
Also, if you have PS PLUS, you can ba- oh, you said it. Back up your profile!
3. Literally none of my friends were playing LBP3 anymore. This felt like a half-ghost town.
4. You're right about dive in being an absolute gamble, though I remember the online being 'less bad.'

LBP2 was a good time but i don't think i played it as much as i did the 3rd game. the 3rd game is still my favorite and i made so so many friends and my favorite memories on the ps3. i'm glad i never experience as many bugs as others. my friend riceMSTR disappearing is still my saddest video game moment.

As someone who has been playing for 9,8,or 7 years now I can say that lbp multi-player is very glitchy but there are several ways to get around it. Almost every glitch can be avoided somehow.
I remember trying to play the story mode on PS4 ages ago, I literally forgot why I didn't play the whole story mode, but I remembered why a couple of weeks ago: I think I was in an early point in the story; I got to some place where I had to collect some marbles, and bring them to some machine or thing, I remember collecting them all, and when I went to the place it said I didn't have all the marbles, but I did have them. Back then I was just like 14 years old, I thought it was my fault, and just gave up on it, I didn't really like the story mode that much anyways, now I know the game was extremely broken. LBP1's story mode is always gonna be my favorite, for me, even LBP2's story mode wasn't as good, I really liked da vinci's hideout and avalonia, while still fun, I couldn't get to like the aesthetics of the rest of the worlds

probably a bit late but the way I was able to fix my online with friends problem was to go into a level I've made on the moon and then invite them. This also seems to works in lbp2 but that's only happened once
FYI it is possible to connect to lbp3 levels without PS plus, but idk about joining others.
The answer to signing in after the error message is to go to your friends list and try to send an invite. At this point you will be asked if you want to connect to the PSN. It's an annoying glitch and it is wholy indicative of Sumo's blatant contempt for having been thrown a second hand bone and indignantly dropping it. This leads into another point you brought up.
Not only is the charm factor missing but beneath this game beats a bilous heart. The settings are either dark or cynical and the characters range from soulless to screeching. In the first two games (as well as in Karting) the world's were vibrant and colorful and you felt you were fighting for a world worth saving for it's joyous inhabitants. In LBP 3 it seemed you were just trying to survive an onslaught of creatures that fought for supremacy at the bottom of a septic tank. It is a depressing and thankless chore.
That brings up another one of your observant points:
At their best the world of games in the LBP family were able to create a zen like flow once you mastered their simple navigation tools but in adding so many layers and tools to a platforming game things got way too complicated and that sweet rhythm was broken. In giving creators more options they snuffed out the intuitive controls required for basic gameplay.
You mentioned the number of times new levels were played but that figure is as useless as opening weekend box office receipts. It only tells you how many people attended but says nothing about satisfaction. That freedom of expression was done away with shortly after the launch of LBP3 when they removed the option for expressing displeasure. You either UP voted something or had no input.
I think that the real blame lies mostly and sadly on the shoulders of Media Molecule themselves. I understand wanting to grow but the real question is, "Have they?"
"Tearaway" felt like a prolonged tech demo for the Vita (and eventually the PS4) and with "Dreams" they spent about 8 years to basically create a creation tool counting on creators to provide the content. Making matters worse was their misleading marketing. They pitched the beta at a $40 price tag with the promise of upgrading people who bought into the early access at no additional charge when the game released in full. What they didn't tell us was that the game would be releasing to everyone for $40.00. And what exactly was the game in full? Well it turns out to be not much more than an enlongated tutorial that you have to play through to unlock VR mode.
I know that this sounds like a butter rant but let's weigh the evidence... You will have gotten alot of views based solely on the subject of the LBP franchise and particularly in the relevance to the least popular game in its history (which many consider to be the mail in it's coffin.) Meanwhile we hear no such lingering interest in either Tearaway or Dreams. In my not so humble opinion LBP3 proved that it took more than just transcribing existing code to breathe life into a new installment of LittleBigPlanet... It was the love of something by the original creator. That was the proverbial lightning in a bottle that Media Molecule gave up for adoption and the new parents just didn't understand the special nature of the soul they had been gifted with and that sense of "second hand responsibility" is painfully obvious.
Needless to say that I was hesitant at best when "A Big Adventure" was announced and my apprehension was intensified after the developer video dropped a few days ago.
If things weren't bad enough hearing that it was once again Sumo Digital behind the wheel there was a complete lack of enthusiasm in the presenter's voice as he discussed the game's features. This was not the voice of enchantment but rather simply of someone who felt as if they had delivered a serviceable game and come in on time. And the joyless voice was backed up with gameplay that revealed the same scowling character traits in the gameplay that sunk the ship of dreams when LBP3 was initially released. By the time that show was over I was convinced of one thing... Minus the mirthful spirit of it's original creators And a creation mode for it''s adoring community "A Big Adventure" will not be worth it's projected $60.00 asking price for me. I will probably wait to satisfy my curiosity until it shows up in the IGC in less than a year later (as did it's previous red headed step sibling.) While I will always love the original creations (as well as Karting) I know in my gut that Sackboy's stint in reform school has changed him and he will never be the same. Every dream comes to an end.
I've always maintained lbp3 is a pretty dope game, it's just not a great lbp cause it doesn't feel like it, which is natural cause lbp is s purely original MM concept, so if MM doesn't make it, it's not gonna feel like it

I never have problems playing online. The one and only problem I have had on this game is a create in pod glitch but this was kind of my fault because I literally looked at a list of all the glitches and saw a video tutorial for it. My profile was corrupted and I had to reset it and what not but I was delighted to see that my project that I was working on although a step back in completion was posted online still. With that in mind, a good way to combat corruption issues is to frequently post your levels online even if incomplete.
That error used to happen to me until my profile corrupted, it stopped
I can relate to what he said about the PS3. I've had mine for a LONG time, and nowadays I think it's on its last legs. It even had trouble with some of the LBP2 tutorials. Super sad since it's my favorite system. But I guess I shouldn't worry too much, seeing as the PS5 is coming out soon-- I'm just gonna miss LBP2. (I skipped an entire gen since I really only played the LBP games and a couple others, so I didn't really see a reason to upgrade.)
The problem with you connecting with your friends could be several things
1) They don't have PSP
2) Either your internet isn't strong or theirs isn't strong
3) Something bad happened to servers
Here's something you can do to try and fix this: Create a party for LBP3 and invite your friends. That might be how you're supposed to do it the entire time and they just never told anyone
I use to have like 15 mm picks between lbp1 and lbp3 but as a creator i stop making levels after lots of (fail to load level) in lbp3

Me and my best friend both played sitting RIGHT NEXT to eachother and we couldn’t even play together.
It would take us 30 minutes to tweak with it and just out of pure luck would he connect.
Again, we played on the SAME console and we couldn’t get his controller to connect!
Luckily I havent gotten every error yet, but it is super glitchy and bugged, the main level for the Manglewod Swamp is missing so many platforms that I cant move around the map and I'm stuck in one spot, and I cant even leave once I join
My biggest issue with LBP 3 was that no matter what I tried, I couldn't get all my LBP and LBP 2 DLC to transfer to LBP 3 on PS4, so I literally had to go out and buy the game again on PS3 just to keep my content.
I'm just hyped for Restitched!

To get a hundred trophies in lbp3 you had to have the muppets pack. I wonder if anybody has the pack
