Thank you for the straight forward clear to the point info. I am getting my CDL and eventually I am thinking to run a 53' reefer to be most employable/marketable. I like videos that help tell me how to keep my money in my pocket and DIY when practical. Thanks. (consider aero for mpg, fuel is $) Thanks again.
Thats crazy hadn't thought about that, that they will reject your trailer for e-tracks as if their products aren't wrapped in plastic and then placed in cardboard 🤔🤔🤔😏😏😏 Thanks for the video bud.
Looking to buy a reefer trailer soon. Wanting best bang for my buck how many unit hours is good? I don’t want to get something that is going to be going out soon
Have you had bushing problems with your Meritor RHP series suspension on this trailer? I have four trailers identical to yours and have had to rebush all four and in two cases install sideplate repair kits. They are a good riding suspension, you just have to really keep an eye on all the bushings on that four-link style setup.
HELLO WE LIKE YOUR INFORMATION. I HAVE 40 plus years of driving . I GOING BACK TO REFFER WORK AFTER BEING OUT OF THE REFFER BUSINESS for over 25 years .just like to know how is the business now compared to 25 years ago. I LOOKING TO BECOME A OWNER OPERATOR AGAIN. JUST LOOKING TO SEE IF IT PROFITABLE NOW TO BUY OUR OWN TRUCK AND TRAILER NOW . THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS.
Man I really appreciate you making this video. I do have a question, Can you plug in the reefer trailer to run independently by itself when docking Stead of using the diesel to power it?
I'm curious if you or someone else could answer this question for me? I know these reefer trailers are meant to keep the load cool or cold, but, do reefer units also have the ability to keep loads warm? Can you set them to a temperature and have the unit keep it roughly at that temperature? What is the temperature range that the load can be kept at? I can't seem to find this information and not sure if I'm just looking in the wrong places or what. Thank you.
E-tracks are a system that helps you secure the load more securely than load bars, since they are built into the trailer and you lock the straps into the walls and can cinch them tight and they won't move,vs a loadbar that will slip down if bumped right with the load.
Is it tough to get a dedicated route and if I have a dedicated route would I need my own trailer for whatever I was hauling and do dedicated routes pay well and what should I look out for
Dedicated routes are somewhat hard to get,as of right now with the rates going up it seems that the dedicated routes are paying less then the spot Market. Most of the time you'll have to have your own trailer maybe several if it's a drop and hook program.
We had a trailer that came to our distribution center with a written warning on the wall that said "This trailer is photographed daily for damages." I loaded it a few times and knew to be extra careful. It was an owner operator for Spinnaker Inc.
Reefer always pays more but you have more cost to keep up the equipment so I think it evens out.You will also have more risk and time with reefer loads.I use DAT load board to find loads.

Mark Reaves unless you get a deep freeze unit they run -20 + 80 so less temperature control loads being warmer
@@harleybishop7658 So, if someone set it to 65 it would keep it roughly at 65 regardless of outside temperature?
Mark Reaves yes
Can you do how to operate, and different types of seating, what shipper want. etc
Sounds like a great idea for a video I'll have to go to my buddies house and do it on his because I sold my reefer about a month ago.thanks

So should you get a trailer with E track or just regular n use load rods..
i think its better to use load rods then test the market and if really needed then install the etracks.
What’s good hours to have?

Can you hold companies liable when they damage parts of your trailer when loading and unloading?
If it’s serious damage yes. Otherwise cracks and scrapes not really unless you got a lot of money to burn on lawyer fees.
We had a trailer that came to our distribution center with a written warning on the wall that said "This trailer is photographed daily for damages." I loaded it a few times and knew to be extra careful. It was an owner operator for Spinnaker Inc.
How do u get loads for reefers for produce companies n does it pay more than driving dry vans???
Reefer always pays more but you have more cost to keep up the equipment so I think it evens out.You will also have more risk and time with reefer loads.I use DAT load board to find loads.
When the season is hot Reefer pays very well. I’m getting into it soon and have a general idea of rates.
