  • The time has come again to Service Suzie :) I used 0W20 oil as recommended and the HKS Hybrid Oil Filter which I got from CTC, which is the best oil filter available. I also replaced the pollen filter just like the last service. There's also a slight tease to my new mega intake haha, it's nowhere near done yet, trust me it's gonna be one of a kind though!
    Shoutout @marek.pravda (Instagram) for the help on this one

    Nice work, oils are the life blood of a car, and regular changes, with the filter, can extend an engine's life. I've seen that first hand, I used work in a motor factors back in the day👍✌️💜
    Loved the noise your mate made with the 1/2 breaker bar🤣🤣🤣

      Thank you! Absolutely, correct maintenance keeps cars going for far longer, it's a shame cars these days are seen as disposables by most and more than likely never maintained :(
      Never felt my heart sink so much before 🤣🤣

      @@wallsworkshop Bless you it was a mean trick to play but he fessed up quick✌️😊💜👍
      Modern cars? It'll get worse, "you'll own nothing and be happy" (Palpitine aka Klaus Schwab). Plus EVs? Battery dies, car's a write off. Lithium supply chain is filthy and dangerous, wrecking the environment and there's nowhere to recycle them, the whole thing is like the emperor's new clothes!
      I've had my Swift 7 years, previous car 13, previous one 7 years, notice a trend. The less cars made, the better for the environment, but we are being conned to think otherwise.
      I'll get of my soapbox now😊😉😉😄💜✌️

    Nice video, I've just bought a 2010 Swift Sport & its due a service including brake fluid & coolant etc. It has 60k mils & has full service stamps in book. Should i continue to get service stamps, or just do this myself? Thanks

      Thanks! Nice to see a low mileage example these days. It's completely up to you, obviously a fully stamped book is great, maybe get a personalised self service stamp for the book? I've been doing my own maintenance & paperwork for service history since I bought the car.

    Hi, i have just bought a 1.6 sport 2010. looking to do a service on it, i cant find anything much on the fuel filter. Have you done this on yours? where is it located? Cheers

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  Рік тому +1

      I’ve unfortunately not done it on this although I intend to. I’ll be honest I’m not even sure where it is but I don’t think it’s a terrible thing to change, I haven’t come across anyone mentioning issues round it

    The suzuki swift k12B k14b and the M16A engine have this idle hunting issue and you have to do a idle relearn. Can this be done with out a scan tool?

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  Рік тому +2

      I have no idea. I've recently replaced my split MAF pipe and it fixed the issue so maybe that applies to the K12 and K14 too

    Why 0W 20? I think my handbook suggests 0W 30 as the recommended (and 5W 30 if in unusual climates).

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  Рік тому +1

      If you look on the top front crossmember (left hand side) there's a sticker saying use Suzuki Shell Helix 0W20. However I'd like to mention because I didn't in the video, next service this summer I'll be changing grades of oil to something slightly thicker now that it's not brand new

    • @fluxington
      @fluxington Рік тому +1

      @@wallsworkshop Thanks for that, I just looked but the sticker isn't very clear, which is odd because everything else is in good condition. Even 0W 30 had the guy in the parts place scratching his head!

    • @wallsworkshop
      @wallsworkshop  Рік тому +1

      @@fluxington No probs, that does seem odd. I bet it did haha! 0W20 is good for up to 90K miles (IMO) and then go up to 30 beyond 90K

    Just got my 2014 swift sport today. Mainly because of these vids and some other reviews. Looking at the intake, can you tell me which coupler you used and what diameter (mm if possible) pod filter you run?
