Wait, if this is the first game chronologically, why the heck does Jax already have metal arms? Actually, I'm sure there's a very convoluted and dumb explanation for it, that's just the way of MK lore.
@@Toaster278Oh ok. I thought Jax went through some sort of accident and lost his actual arms; and had to undergo some kind of confusing surgery to replace his arms with metal ones whilst hunting down a criminal named Kano or something? And no; the first chronological MK game was MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero. This game: Special Forces; is considered a chronological spinoff. Either way: both Mythologies and Special Forces suck. Also: the only trilogy of chronological MK games that didn't suck was MK Shaolin Monks; with Kung Lao and Liu Kang. And also Scorpion; Sub-Zero; and even Johnny Cage. But special forces is bad and should feel bad for NOT giving us a convoluted explanation as to WHY Jax already has metallic arms; during this crap game; and not during MK 2; instead.
IMO 0 scores should be reserved for games with so many technical issues they make day one Bethesda console releases look good. The kind of thing where you consider it a miracle to make it a few minutes without having to reset the game, reload a save, or having your console crash.
@@bzilla-d4i Not really IMO. Bad sure, worst Mortal Kombat game I've played but I've played far worse then this even if you discount the stuff older then I am (Video game crash and earlier essentially).
Thank you for being a fun youtube channel that provides genuine laughs, without getting involved in UA-cam drama for content, and no "I'm going through some stuff" you guys are always a blast. Keep doing what you do 😂
"Large Box" in the voice of Brian Butterfield. Excellent. You know, when my friend and I went to see the Brian Butterfield live show last year, we predicted that the audience would be a lot like us - tragic dudes in their 30s. We were, of course, right.
You know, having heard about this game, I was expecting it to be just completely awful, but I agree with what Peter said. It's definitely not great, or good, but it's not wholly unplayable. There's so much worse than this. I guessed the review scores would be more around the 40 or 50% range...but 28%? The reviews legit seem more harsh than is actually necessary. :/
Well I mean...yeah, of course. That's what I'm getting at. People are letting their perceptions become warped instead of objectively observing what's in front of them. I've seen this a bunch of times with games that are rated worse than they actually are. I also keep seeing games rated better than they are (as subjective as much of this is).
I was about 15 when this game came out aka one of the main target groups that midway was advertising too. I had loved mortal kombat the og games but when I saw this one I just knew it was gonna suck
This Game wasplanned to Play with Jax AND Sonja. Cause there Partner and stuff in MK lore. But later on they Removed Sonja again. Fans was very angry, cause they allready shown Gameplay with Sony and Jax and done Commercial with bouth of them.
It may be too new but play the new Saints Row. I played it free when PlayStation gave it out for monthly game but i could not put more then 2hrs on it, it was soo boring, graphics are bad and felt sluggish with bad conteols. I am going to give it another try since i played the old games but man it was such a bad first impression thst i had to uninstall that same day

Technically; it's more of a spinoff. It's considered worse than MK Mythologies Sub-Zero. And I played that on the N64. It should also be considered worse than the 2nd MK film; Annihilation; or just as bad as Annihilation. Because Annihilation LITERALLY has Shao Khan kill Johnny Cage in the first 2 minutes of that movie. And they replaced the actor who played Johnny Cage who; for the record; WAS going to sign the contract to come back for the 2nd MK movie; and was set to; until he actually read the contract; and saw that his character died in the movie's opening. They took everything good about the first MK live action movie and took a massive dump on it. Even if you don't like Johnny Cage; killing him off in the opening of a movie is still a bad idea. Even in a series all about brutally ripping your opponent's spine/head; heart out. Still; MK Mythologies is considered the first chronological MK game. Special Forces is closer to being a spinoff. And it was supposed to have Sonya Blade(Jax's partner); but they cut her out of this game. Also; Jax has the metallic arms already; when this game is supposed to be his debut appearance apparently. Geez; the lore of MK is konfusing at times(and yes; that joke's intentional). I intentionally replaced the "C" with a "K"; because it's Mortal Kombat. I did that a lot as a kid; and I still do that as an adult. No shame whatsoever. I just like MK.
Wow, I have to say; for one of the legendary actual 'worst game ever' contenders; this is actually not really that bad... Generic, dull and boring perhaps, but far from the worst game ever it seems. I wonder, if all the Mortal Kombat branding and characters were swapped out for generic no name whatevers; would this have been better received? Did it get so hated because people expected better from an MK game...?
Looks abit like Ben hasn't slept in a couple of weeks 👀 Also this is just one of those 🤷 games. It's not bad to where it's comical likes knight rider but just competent and that's it

When he debuted in MK2 his arms were in the shop and he had rental arms???
It's actually just body paint, he was going to dress up as the silver surfer for Halloween but he got interrupted after doing his arms

I've got the feeling that the expectations for this game are Sub Zero.

Get over here, and then out the door, begone I say!
I Kano believe you said that
Son-ya later, ok maybe too far 😂
“I’ll get me coat.”
This game had potential until they rushed it, John Tobias abandoned the team, and they cut Sonya Blade out of it.
Mortal Kombat is an excellent series with a few less than great games. This is one of them.
The game intro reminds me of The Venture Bros.
Like some other dude already mentioned here: Why the hell does Jax have his metal arms here? 🙈🤣
The game might be trash but that song is a jam.
The "it's gonna be a few weeks on parts" joke went hard AF, boys. Love this series and I love you both very much and I'm very proud of you. Toodles
Really embarrassing that the ORIGINAL Mortal Kombat graphics were a million times better than this hot garbage! 😬

this is the most Non-MK looking MK game ever
Even more than MK Mythologies Sub-Zero?
This game reminds me of Fallout Brotherhood of Steel

I think some of the bad reviews are due to the high expectations of the MK brand

If you scroll to the middle of the video without spund theres NO WAY you could pinpoint this as a MK game
