How do you prevent uneven expansion?
In the MSE removal video, you said something about tilting your back molars or rotating them. At the back of my bite, it curves upwards. What was used to correct that for you?
Can anyone tell me,if palatal expander will make your teeth go back?

Mike Mew has always claimed that if you expand the upper arch the lower arch will follow. Is the problem with your case that the MSE expanded the upper jaw so quickly or do you simply disagree with Mike? If you don't, do you know how this subsequent expansion works?
What Mike Mew doesn't acknowledge is that the mandible growth is not sufficient enough to keep up with your maxilla expansion. The mandible does grow, I can personally attest to that, it's simply very very slow in comparison with the maxilla.

@@PrinceJes my maxilla hasn’t grown much if any, but mandible has substantially
@@PrinceJes I don't know why Mike says this-I expanded my maxilla w/ mewing and now my mandibular arch is too small and my molars don't quite match up to their counterparts.

It really sucks because my orthodontist said he would try the MSE with me but I got scared because he has no experience with it. Idk if I made the right choice or not...

If you have jaw/sleep issues it’s possibly worth the risk. If it’s for aesthetics ABSOLUTELY NOT, be precautious.
@@c4burger people who practice traditional orthodontics have a tendency to place the MSE appliance too far forwards instead of in the posterior region.
What do you think is the reason you had asymmetric expansion?
difference in rigidness of sutures and bone structure in general between left and right side. right side was stiffer for some reason.

Would u ever recommend getting lower jaw surgery before 20 to correct overbite/overheat? I’m 17 and want to get mse or palate expander plus face mask to give foward growth and wider maxilla but this would cause a overbite so how could I fix this if my orthodontics don’t have lower jaw expanders

@@realmusic6577 I'd rather get something that's less invasive. And I don't know if my parents would allow me to get jaw surgery. It'd be less of a hassle.

@@lumoquest6609 Yeah, are there any viable alternatives for here in the UK? Also, I had extractions for braces when I was young which sucks cause I was unaware of the implications that it had so can I get fillers after my palate has expanded to make up for the extraction?

@@Av0nr no, it hasnt grown. However i lost some weight and so i have less chubby cheeks, that helped but i still have a small lower jaw

Eat harder food. no more rice, fast food, or juicing, The jaws grow when it has to work against harder foods.
You are 16 so you might have a chance. But if not, then start mewing , look for a lower jaw expander , and look for jaw surgery options just in case.

No. It only expands the inter-molar width

So I actually have 2 Mse's in my upper palette which is what my doc wanted to use. I'm at 26 turns and it still hasn't seperated

What? You are not using invisible alinement. You are using normal braces . Besides you have perfect teeth and jaw .
