Bering has come so far for such a young company. There growth is incredible, as there boats are. A Bering cat if made with the same attitude as there trawlers will make a huge splash in the cat world.
I saw this video of yours and ordered the BC80 material from Bering boat I can spend my vacation with BC80 on the beautiful sea of Japan! I currently own a RIVA88 and a HATTERAS 65GT Oh I am lucky to know your videos.
I really like this guy and his boats. Suggest bifacial solar panels on top (efficient and great filtred light). Possible aft cabin walkout in engine room space (2nd egress and coffee). Extend forward cockpit room with bifacial (Protect windshield and sunshade.
Stunningly brilliant, I’ve always liked the real-estate of a cat’s main deck and upper helm but not the accommodations. But a Bering 82’ CAT! That has my cranial synaptic grey matter firing… Too funny😁Alexi good on you! The only thing that matters when you see danger coming, is that You can run faster than everyone else…😂… Have a great week everyone.
Awesome. My dream boat is a 70-80 foot powercat. I hope Bering will build one in this size category someday. I love the robust, sea worthy construction of Bering. I can’t wait to see the 60 when it’s done.
Bering is such an innovative company. I love mono hulls, but if anyone can do a CAT appealing to the masses, it will be Bering. Honestly, this WOULD pull me into this CATegory.
Such a wonderful man and his boat builds are so wise. Safety is the foundation of enjoyment and fun. Watching and feeling him speak about boat building has made me have safety briefing with my kids and their friends before we go out. It sets us up for great experiences when we go out on the water to play. When I first saw a Bering 70 on Aquaholic, I could not understand the big deal from Nick there. But now (in no small part due to the love and in depth discussions on your channel) I love Bering boats and build philosophy. Would definitely consider a Bering in the future. Thank you everyone for sharing your joy!
I love Bering yachts, they are brilliant. This 60ft Cat looks amazing, it has the same Gross Tonnage as the Bering 72. Alexie and the team at Bering's are doing a great job, they are all stars.
Alexei does it again!!! I am definitely a monohull guy… but seeing what Bering is going to do with catamarans, may have me rethinking that position. Outstanding!!!
I like what i see. I'm thinking 4 cabins plus 1 crew and storeroom, enclosed flybridge but with full French doors aft and powered drop-down windows on the sides so apart from a fixed front screen, almost the entire thing can be opened up.

Guys, great video, as always. Now I'm starting to lean back towards the catamaran. I do remember the powercat that y'all did with the access from the salon area going forward to the bow. That looked like a pretty decent cat to go out on. Come on Powerball!
I think it would have to have bigger engines, to go faster, Maybe, at 30 to 35 mph. Then, the hydrofoils would work. I think the catamaran would weigh 55 tons. -Mike
Same here! Watched all B77 videos multiple times! LOL I got the layout, colors and name all figured out!I mean down to the door handles. Pretty much hand over the list and a check and done!
I really like the interaction with you, Rico and Alexei. He communicates clearly and confidently. You trust his integrity as he lays out the why behind decisions.
Thank You Very much, This is the ultimate in owner operated vessel, This would be amazing thank you for all the options. I was always hooked on the 77 but this is really a game changer as you said several times in the video. Amazing is all i can say. I love it. :)
I love this man’s boat’s, all of them and you two for introducing me to them. Congrats on Your’s. I am 72 and you have me looking ahead into the Possibilities…
I love to see Alexei in these videos with you guys. The look on his face when Rico says he built the catamaran designs out of spite and then mentioned the 80 was priceless, lol. As always, it’s terrifically obvious he enjoys doing this with you two. Alexei has such obvious confidence and passion in his description of the development of the new catamaran designs. I love how specific he emphasizes the adherence to safety and comfort which are the benchmarks of the Bering design intention. Now it’s time to figure out if it’s the 77 mono hull or the cat design in the near future. An explorer cat of the Bering pedigree?? Seems like an obvious choice now. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Flat floors is music to my ears being a full-time wheelchair user, the ability to use the swim platform as a lift from the dock to the main deck is huge. Could the swim platform be designed to have a section that can reach the upper deck and maybe even the flybridge? Having the freedom of the entire boat in a wheelchair would be, well as you say, a game changer!
@Navy1977 I have considered this, however, an inside elevator for a wheelchair is very unsightly and takes up a huge amount of space. You end up with a big metal box which is not ideal, yes, it could be masked but it is a lot of space to give up for something that is used for 60 seconds at a time. A swim platform that can do the same job would not only give much better access from a dock (with fold-out or hydraulic extending ramps but would also allow very easy access to any level. For me personally, being outside is the whole idea, I may be paraplegic but I don't want to live my life inside wrapped in blankets :) (Not saying that is what you were suggesting!)
There is a monohull 65 foot from Steeler in Holland. They build the boat entirely wheelchair compatible. If you can do that on a sleek 65 foot mono it will be so easy on a Bering 60 cat.
cover it in solar panels like a greenhouse, but batteries in it, everything electric, water electrolyser to turn excess power into hydrogen to store for later, and put a big walk in freezer on board so lots of food can be stored on it.... eurojackpot is going close to 100 millions, I would buy one immediatelly.........
Agree. Unless it has a primary solar/electric/hydrogen system, it's nothing special - just yet another filthy oil burner, albeit more efficient than their monohulls.
Have you actually thought of the area of solar panels needed to support this fantasy? You can’t just take out engines and cover the boat in solar panels. It just doesn’t work that way.
Not with these performance specs. Sure you can drive at speed for an hour or so but not for extended periods. I run into this all the time. People think k that a few kilowatts of solar panels and some batteries and all of the worlds problems are solved. If that was the case you wouldnt have to ask for a boat to be electric, it would be already.
And I’ll add, we can barely get electric vehicles to marginally perform, a marine environment is many times more difficult to solve the energy balance because unlike a car that can coast a boat stops immediately when power is removed. Please, do a little bit of honest research on the physics involved before you go on believing all it takes is to cover the roof with solar panel.
As requested, I wanted to let you know I just came over from NautiGuys (video from three weeks ago). Thanks for all of the Amazing Vlogs. I hope the two of you are having an amazing day!
With all of the options they have with the layouts on all the levels, technically No 2 will be exactly the same assuming each owner chooses what they desire in their cat. I think that is awesome,
A few years ago, even before you guys thought about buying a Bering explorer yacht, I threw that very question about Bering producing a power cat, based on the living area that cats offer over mono hulls and one of the members on the chat just said that cat wasn't compatible with the displacement philosophy of the Bering brand. I personally love the way Bearing yachts are built and the way they look, but I also love the way a power cat does for live-in spaces
I think this has a lot of benefits being aluminium offers so much more flexibility remember there has to be a new mold made for any changes in design with a fiberglass boat and a cat ! what more could you want other than possibly a solar hybrid version that wow that would be amazing I think fantastic 😄😄😄😄
the first time i heard about this cat, i knew she would be something special. this video proves me right. (a rare thing for me). Once again, bering is doing it right.

Exactly a regular bering monohull isn't outrunning anything. Radar and technology is better than a slow boat

if i had the money i would get one. This will be the number 1 cat out there. I think it is better than the "others" out there. Great job
Knowing Bering, the Windows thickness will be huge to allow for the strength and heavy seas 😊

Except slips aren't built for cats. You will have to pay for a super yacht slip for a 60 cat because of the beam

At this point of my life, I would have to win the lottery to own a Bering lol, so if I ever do win Alexi can expect to see me at his shipyard.

Wow! Of all the boat tours I've seen, this is the boat I would want. Now all I have to do is win the lottery so I can afford it.

What are tge price ranges on the 60 (62 😂) and the 80 (82 😂)? I realize these can an will vary, but an idea of price is important.
