This is how you promote a cinema camera! By actually shooting something cinematic. Every company trying to sell a camera should be giving their desired customers a sense of what the camera can do, that is what leads to sales.
Those first few notes after the title shot cut through me. I was in. Lovely pacing - it was beautifully cut showing their relationship, motivations all in different timelines. So well done. Thank you Sam Corlett for writing a wonderful piece and for putting together such a talented group of artists. @Sony Australia - could you give the whole cast and crew visibility by putting their names in the caption. They deserve it.
This is the first movie with real cinema look I want to see from a cinemaline, all other Sony videos don't have the look like this one, great one Sony Australia
wait this is so painful and creative and I can’t hold my tears🥺 Congratulations to the whole team of this cinematic film specially to Tati gabrielle and Sam Corlett you guys are so talended and amazing hoping to be like you someday you guys are inspiration to many of us who wants to be involved in film making! Sending hugs and loves even you guys don’t know me I support both of you and always admire both of u💕
MASTER PIECE OF WORK!!! What lenses are you shooting with? I see multiple people asking but no reply? Im assuming the magic must really be in the lenses? And the lenses are probably 10x’s more expensive than the camera… Since we gave feedback can we please receive some back?
I came here to Witness the quality of the Burano, but i was instead moved by the story. This reminds me that the most important thing In video crafting is the emotion. Tools will always only be tools.
The average person won’t notice the difference but based on the images I’m seeing this is an amazing camera for commercial and documentary but looks less cinematic than the latest mirror less cameras imo
You’re saying the BURANO “looks less cinematic than the latest mirror less cameras”? This has to be the most backwards opinionated comment I’ve seen yet towards this camera’s capabilities. Your opinion, sure. But there’s absolutely no way this camera is less “cinematic” than any other mirrorless camera out there.
@@InfamousStar1I find it very very clinical and too Sony looking based on that you may as well use your Sony Alpha camera as the average person wouldn’t notice. The FX3 being used in a Hollywood movie backs this up. My comment was made before I knew this, so the comment isn’t as stupid as you suggest. A great lance and 3rd party recorder definitely bridges the gap and I actually prefer the look of the Fuji XH2S to the Burano.
You do realize that a clinical look is based on what lenses you use, correct? It has nothing to do with the camera, nor sensor. In fact, this film was shot using the Canon K35 TLS vintage lenses ($70k / per lens, or $350k~ for a whole set). These lenses are known for their vintage look, and character. I’m not seeing what you’re talking about it looking less cinematic or clinical. It is an 8K resolution camera after all… so perhaps you’re confusing it with how detailed it looks vs. clinical?
This is a nice camera but those Sony skin tones will never compare to arri or even red. I wouldn’t mind as a secondary camera for commercial/music video work but not for $25,000. I’ll get a used one in 3 years for under $10k
Lol, maybe not ARRI skin tone level, but definitely on par if not better than RED’s (and I own a RED Monstro and Ranger Gemini, in addition to an ARRI Amira, Alexa Plus 4:3, and SONY F55, FX6 and FX3). So well-versed in all three systems. Good luck waiting to get this camera for under $10k “in 3 years” as you forecast; unlike RED’s insane and poor depreciation, you’ll actually be waiting at least 6 years to get this cam for under $10k if you’re lucky; and it’ll be heavily used and abused at that price point.
I went from raised brows to tears in 6 minutes and 50 seconds. D*mn you Sam Corlett.

Finally. Something truly cinematic from the Burano. So well done. Bravo to all involved. This is going to sell alot of cameras.
Who could have thought that a video under 7 minutes would make me cry 😭 what an amazing short film ❤
This is the story of me stealing the money to buy that camera.

@@InfamousStar1 I don’t believe you. Good night.
Trust me, I won’t lose any sleep whether you believe me or not.
To each their own.
The camera is great, no question about it, but the film I didn´t like at all. Lighting, directing, the story, even editing sucks to my taste.
you don't know shit about film, that's why. Sell your camera and get a 9-5
Would love to see your work and get a sense for what you deem tasteful.
