    I really like the pattern of the pinecone and the colors together. Nice job, Doug. Hang in there, this heat with wear ya out. Remember to hydrate. 😊

      Thank You Cheryl ! Might I suggest watching Bob over at RJBwoodturner as he has great instructional videos on making pens, if you decide to start making pen, Oh and it's very Satisfyingly Addictive ! you can soon have more pens than any one person will ever need ! LOL

    Cool pen. I have a bag full of pine cones too. Glad that you mentioned the toaster oven to dry out the cones. Great video.

      Thank you ! yeah they have to be dry and it helps the resin to flow into them when they are warm.

    Question, last winter all my finishing came out perfect. Lately all my finishes or coming out cloudy. It's hot here.could the heat be the reason?

    Hi Doug was the cone stabilized before you cast it ??????

      It was not ! I cooked it at about 250 for an hour before I poured the resin, then poured it right out of the oven while it was still warm.

      NOOOOO just need to dry them out, I picked it up in the yard just before using it.
