I’ve been watching you for a while, it’s weird how you tube works, now they are showing all of your old videos in my subscription feed. No biggie, always love watching you. Always inspiring! I Love wood turning as well!
Thank You Katie, yes I noticed that also, I've watched all Kim Tippins and now hers are all popping up on the side for me also.
Think I’ve watched every video at this point! You might say I got stuck in this rabbit whole! Lol! Love your creations!
OH NO !!! Thanks so much 😊
@@PohlBarnProductions oh it’s a good thing! I enjoy watching! Happy New Year! Did ya by chance check out any of my videos?
@@kenny2644 Happy New Year, uh no but I'll head that way now, I look at things and by the time I get done answering everyone it slips my mind
@@PohlBarnProductions I understand! You got a lot of people talking to ya! 👍🤩👹
Mate, your videos are great, your work is fantastic, 8600 subscribers and counting, that's no easy task, I've only managed like 120 or something so far. Seems like we all watch and enjoy the same people, NZ, Pam, Guil, Phil Anderson, we're all one big club of people that possibly prefer wood to people, at least that's how I feel about it haha
Anyway, I always look forward to your next video so I can appreciate your work, and your sense of humour! I'm gonna try and get a new video out soon, epoxy and 50 year old parquet flooring.. can be hard to keep going when you feel like nobody's watching. Suffice to say that lots of people including myself watch your videos religiously, so keep it up! Peace
Thank you Will, to tell ya the truth I hadn't planned on my channel going anywhere other than friends and Family. One video is all it took, never expected that either it just happens. I did work on things to change my channel and I've found that talking to my audience is a must for the success of the channel, best advice I could give ya is just be you ! no one likes fake people.
@@PohlBarnProductions thanks Doug, I'm definitely me in my vids, warts and all! I worry sometimes that audiences want really polished shiny people, and then I remember that I don't like vids like that, or people like that lol.
Next vid is gonna be a pretty special piece, maybe it'll be 'the one' 😂 we can hope right!
Anyway thanks for your reply!
Looking forward to your next vid 😁
Your a very clever man,we love watching your video's
Thank You Jo Jo
LOL, just like your project I'm a little wobbly with a few cracks and I too occasionally have runs!!! In all seriousness these little boxes are fantastic!! I'd love something like this only a little smaller using my hedgehogs quills that I have collected and saved.
that would be interesting
Very nice little lited box, thank you!
Thank you too Texana!
Sir, you are a wonderful artist! May I say you leave out some of the best parts. Finishing is the most important part of any project, please show more.
Hey Doug that was awesome and I need one of those too. Your wife is lucky to have you. 😃 My husband really likes that one too. So enjoy watching your videos if you haven't noticed. Keep up the creativity!
Thank you Annie, nope hadn't noticed at all !
Well damn, if your just learning you are a genius..
💖 love everything you do!!
I love yr work Pohl
Thank you Mike
I love the colours. They pop so well when all lit up. Thank you for sharing your craft
Thank you !
I was a newbie to your work, I started 2 or 3 weeks ago. Your words were just right, you said them sincerely. Take it from an old lady, that knows many a phony.
Thank You Rosa, I will always be ME !
That looked fantastic! Pine cones in resin, who would have thought? Fibonacci would be proud of you! The color changing LED light is the magic touch! I must try making something like this. Thanks for a great video!
You are very welcome I'm glad you liked it !
beautiful love the colours
Thank You..
This turned out so awesome, by the why.
Thank You Sherri
I personally think you're doing a great job!

It's beautiful!!! Don't be so hard on yourself!
Thank You Liss
Beautiful work 🤗
That is crazy AWESOME!
Another great creation Doug :)
You deserve more views in my oppinion, good content of creativity which I love.
I don't really care what people are creating, just that they are making something with their hands. Things don't even have to be purfect every time, we can all improve if we don't give up and continue trying.
As for comments, you must delete the bad ones? as I've just read them all and most have nothing bad to say at all. And any you do get, just ignore them buddy.
They are probably from unfortunate people who have never felt that pleasure of creating something for thereselves, that feeling you get when you have done something to the best of your ability (it dosen't even have to be purfect as you can always improve with practice). I think you know that feeling I'm trying to explane :)
I think Winston Chirchill said " you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time." Worth remembering that.
Thank you for your uploads
Bob
I did delete some of the comments when that other Pine cone box first went viral as it upset me a bit, but I learned even if they are bad comments they still help my channel so I haven't deleted any bad comments in almost a year, I ignore them or even laugh at them now, as they not only help me get out on the suggested video list they also gave me a view, so it's funny that they think they are hurting me but are actually helping me and don't even know it. I do delete spam but those aren't hateful or anything,
Doug I love the pine cones in the little pot. The colors you put into the resin gorgeous blend. The led makes it pop even more. Do you take requests to make similar pots for ppl that they could buy from you....if so I would love one
Thanks so much Steve, ever couple months I get an itch and make a half a dozen or so, all different colors, I do not do custom orders anymore, it mess with my OCD.
@@PohlBarnProductions please let me know in advance when you do . Thank you food sir
Shit man, way to keep things interesting. I damn near spit coffee all over my tablet when that came flying off the lythe.
LOL as long as it did not come out your nose. LOL
You say you're trying to do better....and when you said that you were at 85 or 86K subscribers and at the time I'm writing this, you're at 122K subscribers, so you must be doing better. By the way, nice pine cone box...is that finished in resin?
Thank you, you know I don't remember why I said something a couple years or so ago
@@PohlBarnProductions it was kind of a compliment. You were saying you were trying to do better and you improved.
Nice work
Game of thrones! Nice touch!
LOL I guess I'm not following ya Joey.
Your music sounds like game of thrones
Oh ok, I think the video for that music was based on trolls and elves, or something like war craft
I have learned a lot from your videos. Thanks for sharing. Do you use a release agent in the cup or does the air pressure alone work?
Awesome!
Hi PohI Stunning work my man must try it myself. take care. Y.N.W.A. Paul.
Thank You Paul, I'm glad you liked it !
The reason orange peel occurs is bc 2 non-compatible finishes are used together. Example, wax and acrylic. I use 2 coats of shellac and spun dry followed 3 coats lacquer. No problem. Next time set the tea light in the top with a slip fit. SAFE TURNING, John
Just a thought : how about pouring part A into X number of cups, add color and mix. Then Part B for the first two and pour them in after mixing. Add more part B as needed and continue. So the time is only adding and mixing the Part B and B mixing. Colors are already done. If the colors are bad - then dump and start a Part A again...
Can I ask you something
How much does resin melt
Can you use it as a cup of tea?
I followed the link of the music but it doesn't quite sound the same; did you slow it down or something? I love the music and I especially love the work you do!
Thank you, no I did not change the music any at all.
The Pohl Barn Productions For some reason it sounds quite different, same style but different tune; maybe it just sounds more epic when accompanied by your epic work. Really though, are you sure it's the right link to the song?
I actually do not remember, even using that song it was so long ago, the link should be the song I used if it's been changed since then I wouldn't know.
The Pohl Barn Productions with a little searching on your other videos for the title of the song and searching on UA-cam, I found the right one. Thank you for all you do and the beauty you create and share!

Hi Doug Great video, could you put a link up for the tea lights
Thank you Doug, I am working on an Amazon store where I'm gonna put everything I use in it, I did purchase those off of Amazon. the link I had isn't any good now so search for Multi color LED T lights and you'll find them
What, wait you do orders? Is there a catalog? If you do I know where the Christmas budget is going 😁
there is an etsy store but not I do not take orders, when I make them I put them into the store
The Pohl Barn Productions well back to trolling your Etsy like a beast love you brother
Wonderfull gute idee
I like ur creation that was amaZing aluminate you got.. i hope u can teach me how to use lathe.. i like it anyway.. 😁
Thank You
Nice work....what size container do u use......
Thank you, I used a 1 quart container, I believe it's a container that cotton candy came it from the store, 2 fluid oz, it works as well as a paint mixing container but the bottom is flat and you don't lose as much resin.
Mahogany bowl a2esome cool play football with it no use it to hold snacks yes.
Thank You
I love this looks like lion fish and other sea creatures. Only minor criticism is volume levels I have turn your videos up and down, I know you said your learning editing as you if possible with your software please could you reduce the volume of the music and speed up sections when there is no music as the whine is quite uncomfortable. Other than that it's a great channel and you have inspired many projects for me, especially when I start playing with resin. Keep on turning.
Well hopefully I've gotten better at my editing since this video. It's really hard to keep everyone happy, i'm trying my best but at some point it just isn't possible, what to keep what not to keep what to speed up where and when to add music and keep it short enough to keep others interested in the out come of the project. I read all the comments, I wish some of those people could do my editing for me... LOL it takes twice as long to edit as it does to make the project. squeeze hours and hours of footage into 15ish minutes or so. LOL I'm glad you like the channel, I'm Flattered you were inspired by me to get out and make something, Resin is Addicting by the way.
Doug
Like bro (mexíco)
Rather than drill the large hole all at once why not drill it in stages. Brendan Stemp drills the largest hole first about 1/8 inch deep then uses a smaller bit to drill 1/8 of an inch, doing this in however steps you feel necessary resulting in a stepped hole. Drill the smallest hole to the desired depth then, using the steps as guides, go up to the larges hole. this puts a lot less strain on everything.
I just wasn't thinking, it's been a while since I've done one, I normally drill the smaller hole first, It was my bad, to many other things going through my brain trying to finish the project for this week. Thanks for the Advise I really do appreciate it/
I think the best thing Brendan did was step the holes it really helps guide the drill bit.
Please en esoañol los materiales p@ra comprarlos como se llaman
2 partes de resina epoxi, tintas de alcohol que utilicé de color rojo. Azul y opaco blanco, conos de pino y para la base utilizo caoba africana.

Bad comments come with the territory. Nice work, but stop bad-mouthing yourself. Don't point out the bad things. Stay positive.
LOL I've always been my own worst critic ! I laugh at the bad comments now, I'm glad you liked it ! Thanks for watching.
рукожоп деталь улетела, начал сверлить прохерачил насквозь,очень скучно диз отписка
Awesome color mix on this one
I think you've overrun zac now. And I totally don't get why guil doesn't have wayyy more subs than he does. He makes me laugh every time.
Thank You.. I have over run Zac and I send so many his way when asked how to do this or that with resin, Zac has all the answers and that's where I've learned what I am doing. and Guil should have more subscribers, I believe Nick has shouted him out at one point and I know I have a couple of times and I'll do it again when his sticker arrives.
