Never liked his voice in Deep Purple times. When listening to "Burn" (one of my all time favourites) I always thought "let the pro (Coverdale) sing". But in my opionion he is one of the few guys, where the voice got much better with age.

I don't know what drugs he was on or if he is hearing impaired but Glenn is still amazing and fits perfectly in the mood of what the band as a whole is. If Glenn lives to 80 which I am sure he will. Then I bet you he will be inducted twice more into RARHOF. One for his work with BCC and his work with the Dead Diasies.
And with so many bands sounding a lot of like today specially in the vocals he still stands apart and the dead daisies truly do kick ass with their own stuff and of course, the stuff that they cover so well
Awesome band and very solid music. I have to single out Glenn Hughes at 70 years old and incredible vocal power and range. What a rare talent he has and he is a giant among rock vocalists.

Easily the best I've heard The Dead Daisies.........I think they've finally found a melodic and cohesive unit that make memorable songs.....don't mean that to sound bad or anything but the addition of Glenn and Deen really raised the bar. Glenn is sounding ultra amazing as the frontman.
Glenn Hughes just continues to amaze me. He still has the pipes and he always seems to be involved in high calibre bands. His body of work is truly phenomenal
Some bands put out their best music right out of the gate (Boston's first album for example). Others are consistant for several albums (like Foreigner). The Dead Daisies in my opinion have not only consistently put out great music album to album, they saved their latest to be their best to date! There are not too many albums (especially today) that you can go from the first song to the last song, and want to play it again right away! To The Dead Daisies: Thanks for playing a big part in my continued hearing loss of listening to great Rock the way it should be, and that is loud!!!

When the sun falls down
And the full moon rise
Now you will be found
When you open your eyes
Oh, look at my face
The fear it is long gone
No time to waste
As we ride down to Avalon
Oh Lord, now the dream is on fire
No more, and i yell down the wire
I roar, and i couldn't get higher
On holy ground
(It's my liberty)
(Can't shake the memory)
Your grace is found
(It's my serenity)
(Can't shake the memory)
I'm homeward bound
(Deep inside of me)
(Can't shake the memory)
On holy ground
Transformation, you gotta let go
Soul vibration down in the fire glow
Realization, it's my belief
Expectation, in like a thief
Oh lord, now the dream is on fire
No more, and i yell down the wire
I roar, and i couldn't get higher
On holy ground
