Thank god finally!!!! Out of excitement I have downloaded all the wallpapers on my 256 GB machine and it became a headache for me 😂😂😂 now finally I have freed up so much space.....
3:52 You can also easily restart wallpaper service by opening terminal and typing “killall Wallpaper” and executing the command without using the activity monitor.
IT WORKED!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! You did a great job with this very helpful, valuable video! I just subscribed to your channel. Whew! What a relief! Apple should make it easy to delete the optional wallpapers. This is probably wasting a lot of space in people's computers because they don't know how to delete them. Thank goodness a Google search brought this video to my attention. Here's wishing you all the best!
I had that issue too. Will fix itself after some time /mand reboots. I don‘t know the technical background but can let you know that it worked for me on five different Mac machines. 👍🏼
Thanks for the tip, but I notice the deleted wallpapers keep coming back the next day. I have to delete them every 2nd. day. I'll try to make an auto delete script.
The System Settings window is probably the most absurd thing Apple did in the last 2 years in terms of User interface design. It just doesn’t makes sense. Otherwise, good tip…👍🏻
Yes, it looks really obvious that it is “Apple Made” to make those fanboys lives easier by trying to make macOS settings similar to those on iPhones and iPads.
That's may favorite part about MacOS. It actually was the deal breaker for me switching to Mac. If I want a traditional PC experience I have a gaming PC for that. MacOS is a place where the phone you use everyday perfectly integrates with a true computing device
I am so unlucky to have venture/sonoma get installed in my Macbook Pro 7,1 Mid 2010 unsuccessfully. USB 2.0 windows keyboard/mouse won't work after choosing EFI while press option key, and select Sonoma, it won't go to the recovery display but ask to connect mouse/keyboard but didn't get detected. I tried update and successfully install but Keyboard/mouse wont work
I have Ventura installed on my MacBookPro (late 2008). I use a USB 3.0 HUB with mouse/keyboard connected when i need to update Opencore or make any changes during boot.
@@geoman1420 look like not all apple machine on the lists will work as Mr Macintosh suggest that there are machines unlucky enough. I don't know why. He need to clarify that case
…as mentioned many times for your model. :) Here‘s how to solve it: 1) have a USB 2.0 hub at hand 2) cable mouse and keyboard will work when commected to the hub. Open OCLP on your machine and, again, run all tte root patches offered for your machine after the Sonoma update. 3) write the new OCLP to your disk as suggestwd by OCLP when you finished downloading possiblx missing root patches. 4) reboot your Mac. Works fine again? Good. If not (probably): 5) reboot the Mac again, but this time reset the VRAM of the machine. Check out Apples support pages to find out how to do that on your machine. It’s probably holding option-+command+P+R until the Apple boot chime has been heard two times. Good luck! :)
Thank for the information. It didn't work for me. The extra space being used was still there and some of the aerials kept downloading by themselves. Just finished erasing my hard drive and reinstalling Sonoma. Problem fixed.
Sorry, did not work for me. I followed your steps, but reopening system settings and wallpaper shows me no arrow. For my system all wallpapers are still in place. And they will be downloaded automatically again and again and again ... I deleted them a dozen times now, but they all come back
Very easy to script all this and shove out via Jamf Pro to run once a month for house-keeping 😊 Especially while Sonoma is new and users go looking at all the new things - and who can blame them?! These wallpapers and screensavers are amazing!
I watched your windows 10 UEFI/EFI and GPT video with Bootcamp but I have a problem. When I start "Option-alt" and press "Open core efi boot", Mac os opens directly. How do I install it?
Hello Mr. Macintosh. First thank you for your great video. I have one more question. If I delete it and restart the service as you mentioned everything is fine. I can see the download button is back in the settings menu. But if I try to set this wallpaper once again my Mac downloads the video and then this new one is not readable anymore. Does anyone here has the same issue? And how can I fix that? Thank you!
Hello sir, please make a video for filmora 12 crack in mac os sonoma, m2 it was working for me in ventura but after the update the application of filmora 12 crack isn’t opening. Please sir make a video thats a request 🙏
Unfortunately I believe they have patched this. I delete them, kill the Wallpaper service, but it keeps downloading the 40+ GB of screensavers. Really shocking that this is a thing
I have a mid 2012 15inch MacBook pro running on Ventura until about 2 weeks ago, after booting, it will freeze almost instantly, nothing works again except launch pad.😢😢😢😢😢 Please help After every single click, the "rainbow circle" appears and turn like 15 minutes before the action executes 😢😢😢
That’s technical evolution. You can keep driving a VW bug. But don’t blame VW for not being able to use unleaded fuel im your 1960s car. 😊 Be happy to have people like the OCLP team and Mr. Macintosh to „help you running your old beetle on unleaded fuel“. ✌🏻
Apple = Planned obsolesce, and it has only gotten worse the past 5 yrs. There has never been a question that old iMacs are still able to properly run the newer OS (thanx to OCLP). It worked great! The only problem? They came back! I have it set to rotate through the aerial wallpapers, thinking it would only rotate through the ones I have actually downloaded. No, without me asking it to, it's actually downloaded them all! So now it rotates through all of them. Even the ones I don't like and had previously deleted. :( Maybe the answer is I can't have it rotate if I don't want them all?
They look amazing! If these take up so much storage, perhaps Apple might give us bigger storage options on future Macs - 512Gb minimum? We can but hope, eh!!
What is so annoying about the live wallpapers is when trying to remote control a Mac with Screen sharing or Apple Remote Desktop. The animation swamps the wifi connection, making the login screen a pain to navigate, and making the first few seconds of controlling an all-ready logged in mac a pain in the ass. At least most PC VNC cllents have the option to hide the desktop/wallpaper when using VNC, Apple could learn a thing from that.
That’s nice, but now what I want at this point is just to eradicate macOS Sonoma’s stupid wallpaper/screen saver for good. I don’t know how many times I switch monitors in a day, and that god damn aerial nature wallpaper comes up every time. It’s so bad, I actually mapped a keyboard shortcut just to change the wallpaper to one I like and replace the stupid default one. How can Apple screw up that simple feature that has been working so well for decades?
I can delete them following your video, but these are then downloaded automatically in the background and they appear again. Looks that some kind of deregister is needed....... I wish I didn't click them all to have a curious look. Now 40G disk space wasted🤣🤣🤣

Yes it goes back to default
