I've been all over the internet for over four years and can not find a single person or site that explains how to take off the rear seat seat back.
I have tried wording it in every way I can think of, rear seat back, rear seat trim/panel/removal/replacement/repair etc but nothing. I need to fix the fold down latch but can't get to it because of the hidden whatever behind the panel. Just don't want to brake it which seems what BMW is going for.
YOU ARE THE MAN!❤
How do you get into the back and release the trunk.. just got a new car from an auction..batterys flat and bonnet jammed as it's got some front end damage.
I tried doing it from the central console but couldnt..ps my seats there are also 2 bolts in the middle console.. mines e90 year 2011.
Your the man!
I wish you would show some of the actual work. Though it's very easy to get the seats out some people learn by actually seeing it.. also I was wondering what the back part of your seats looked like because mine have two small metal bars going through the back of them on the bottom in the middle and of course there's a small brown wire running thru them so ya I popped my seat off but I can't get it out the car unless I cut the wire
Would you have any ideas on how to remove the rear seat seat backs? The gray trim panel on the back of the fold down?
Sorry to ask but it seems like forbidden topic on the internet anywhere.
Thanks
Nathan, I'm not sure about your explanation of the transfer pump. Filling the tank will force fuel on both left and right sides giving you a full tank regardless of whether the transfer pump is working BUT if the transfer pump does not work, as fuel is pumped out of the passenger side by the main pump, then fuel will remain (un-transferred) on the driver's side. Thus it is possible for you to "run out of gas" with 1/4 tank showing on the gauge because the driver's side does not fully empty. This event can be interpreted as a bad fuel pump but is actually a failed transfer pump (very rare).
okay but i wanted the entire thing taken out, so the cabin is completely empty is that not possible
Thanks
man just keep up the good work. your videos are viewed even in Bosnia :)
Love ur stuff tho big fan
3 seat belts in the back but only 2 spots to click the seat belt to
Thanks thats realy help me take out fog from my e39 👍Regerads from Poland 🇵🇱
How much weight do you save?
So after running a ipod cord i put back the rear seat & the top right side of the back seat between the door & the headrest keeps popping out. it won't stay where it was originally before I removed it. I push it back into place & it pops back out. everything is back in place, 10mil. bolts ect. I even loosen the bolts on both sides to adjust either side up & down to see if that helped. This is a almost new e39 530i with only 41,000 miles so I don't think the rear seat has ever been removed. Help!?
This is not for E38 lots of bolts for E38seatbelts go through the seats back seat comes out in 3 sections 2 hours work .
The lock up tool for timing the 5X does not sit all the way on the left side because the camshaft is turned just a little bit. Could you shade some light on how to make them both equal so that the tool kit can be installed properly? (I have watched your Timing videos ) Thanks!
+nygraphs sign you have to turn the cam a little to get it to lock in the cam tool
No one shows how to put the rear bench seat BACK IN. It doesn't pop right back in.
did you figure out how to put it back in?
The same on me bro :-)
Did y’all figure this out because I’m trying to put mine back in to
@@mattstanford7644 still didn’t figure it out
I need to get into the fuel tank via the back seat...am also wondering how to get the red seatbelt holders to fit back into the bottom. Anyone sort that out? They are really tight to the seat now. I'm concerned about how to fish them back into place when reinstalling the bottom. I think once the red belt buckle holders are secured back in place, the rest is just slide back into place and gently (but with some vigor) crank the fronts back into their holder groves. HOW TO SECURE THEM BACK INTO PLACE?? Appreciate any helpful comments.
Most definitely not for a 525i
Not helpful at all! because there are TWO clips INSIDE the top of the boot you have to access to remove the back seat! Thus you are stuck if the boot lock wont work! No way of opening the boot then, no key, no mechanical lever! its RUBBISH design! ( buy a merc|!
