    If you have the ELECTRIC SUNSHADE. Go to your trunk and remove the carpet cover to reveal the subs. Then remove the front bolts holding the subs. It will drop giving you enough clearence to then remove the 3 10mm nuts holding the sunshade. Once the 3 nuts are moved, push the bolts up through the hole. Then go into your car and remove the parcel shelf.

    Like all three of your videos they were all very detailed. Mine has the rear window shade and I had to do some more hunting to find out how to get my parcel shelf out. Also something you might add. When removing the head rest and a pin is left in there, it takes such force to pull the pin out that it is very easy to crack your rear windshield, I almost did. Have to be very mindful of this.

    I wish it was easy to retrofit folddown seats, that would be such a nice feature to have

    Do you know how to unlock the seat belts? I just did this and my friend and I thought it would be better not to rip the deadening materials by removing all 3 seat belts. Now that I am on the reinstall phase, I cannot unlock the seat belt. Do you know how to do this or am I screwed and have to buy a new set of belts?

    Yeah the ones I had were old and brittle, even with a trim tool and no pulling it snap cracked popped.

      Yeah cars parked in sun can be more brittle. UV damage weakens everything. Garages cars usually have less issues like that.

      Tarik sorry to hear that man, I haven't taken one apart with the sunshade as it's a rare option.

      but I figured It out how to make It, removed the speaker covers and grabbed the deck from there and pulled It up :) installed new speakers, and the sound is way better.
      I have question for other thing, can I DIY aux cable for the bm24 radio module from the cd changer cable? If you have any knowledge about this I would be more than thankful :) best regards Tarik

      Great to hear you figured it out! Nice work. I'm not sure about the cd changer mod as you describe, but you can install the factory aux cable for under $40 if you have a late model CD player. Details here: ua-cam.com/video/2nyaynmK0AA/v-deo.html

      I am thinking of replace front and rear E39 shock.Front look so so but rear look major pain!How much time it took you for all 4 sock replacement?I Always says, things are NEVER easy as you think it will be!Its was 15 yrs ago,on a BMW I have one rear shock stuck,it took 4 hour just to get it out.

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  7 років тому

      Jim, it's pretty difficult to be honest. I have a four part video guide on replacing the rear shocks if you want to watch exactly how its done. It would definitely take the better part of a weekend, but get a quote from a shop if that is easier! It is one job that I'd recommend most people pay to have done.

    my headrest wont come out! what can i do?

    • @BIMMERZEITT
      @BIMMERZEITT  8 років тому +1

      One of my headrests came out really easy. The other one took a TON of muscle, pulling, wriggling side to side until it came out. Take a break, then go back to it again. Some of them just take a ton of force because the metal can be corroded at the bottom.
