It is a great video with Excellent commentary. the key is to use a small flat head screwdriver that is tricky part. The problem I had was in understanding that a simple screwdriver needed to be placed in the spring latch just needs to be turned inwards ,not be forced a lot when you know the latch released.
This was great. Thanks so much. FYI, if you have fold down seats, you don't need to remove them, just the bolsters to the sides (they just pull off). Everything else is the same.
Hi. Thank you, you are welcome. I'm not only sure what you meant to say? Did you mean, rear curtain - the one that goes from the bottom of rear shelf to the top of back window and creates a shade? I've seen them once, but I think it should be very, very similar, since the curtain is inside the rear shelf. But I'm not 100% sure, since never done it personally. I'll try to find it out.
Wow You reply me faster than BMW garage in my country. Thank so much. Yes that certain. In your VDO when remove the rear console (that one with speaker) . You said in VDO rear child seat holder . It have 3 point for that. I don't have that one. Have you sell BMW spare part too?
Hey! Thanks a lot for the video! I have just done the disassembling, and I can't figure out how to fasten the latches from the trunk back... Do I have to ask someone to push the seat from the inside, and try to move the latches with a flat screwdriver? Вы говорите по-русски? :)
If you have someone for help, then it's a good idea. But you'll be able to push it by yourself from the inside of the trunk while pulling on the latches. It's not that hard. По-русски говорю! Спасибо!
@@waspsps, they still won't lock up... I even hit the back from the inside hardly, but still can't lock the latches. I assume, the springs are put there exactly for the purpose to lock the latches by pushing the back, right?.. What did you do to close them? You installed the back from the inside, pushed it towards the trunk so it is placed properly, and then you pulled the latches with a flat screwdriver in the opposite direction, right?.. I see on your video, before you unlock the latches, there are no springs seen. I can see them now. Does this mean I should be much more persistent applying the screwdriver? :) Спасибо за помощь! ;)
@@alexanderkatunin758 , Good morning! In my case, I just pushed the seat and the latches automatically clicked and been locked. Also, when I was removing the seat, i used the screwdriver to push the latches, but they still got back on their place after I removed the seat. Hopefully, it helps! I'll probably do it again on the weekend, to double check everything.
So I guess I’m screwed. My trunk will not open. The lock mechanism took a shit. The key will not open it. The electronics are screwed. So how can I remove the back seat with out removing or pressing the clips in the trunk ??
jose alvarez , there is a bolt on the bottom. On the top, you remove the plastic piece around the belt first, then you remove the shelf and then you would be able to see the top bolt.
Ok. You should be able to open the trunk manually using your key. You got to turn it counter clockwise direction. At some point (when the key is vertical position), you should feel a resistance. Continue to turn and it should open. You can watch the opening procedure in the middle of this movie: ua-cam.com/video/rxbZg-P5tjQ/v-deo.html
Stanislav Oleynik I didn't know that there was a key hidden inside the control! wow thank you very much we finally got the trunk open and could put a battery in car
Excellent commentary!. Thank you for not babbling useless information. Great video. Helped a lot.

You're not swapping engines, just removing couple of screws and plastic clips. What's so complicated about that?

How did you take out the middle seat belts?

Rodolfo Gonzalez that's a very good question. I'll check it out how to do open a trunk without power asap.
