I have one and it is truly amazing. I have used it for over two years without a single failure. I use this in combination with a Sawyers filter and when using both the H2gO and the Sawyers Mini I am 100% confident that I am drinking safe water.
I have one and have to say this is the most amazing, WELL-BUILT item out there. Millions need this and Many millions will need this in the coming next few years.
Have you tested how well the battery holds up under extended times in cold weather? That's my only concern. I know most battery operated equipment doesn't fare well in those conditions.
@@TommyBoyByGodWVa The battery is lithium-ion. Other studies on lithium-ion batteries show that battery performance may temporarily slow down in cold weather, but once the temperature is brought back up, there is no lasting negative impact. In other words, the H2gO purifier can be subjected to temperatures as low as -4 deg F (-20 deg C) without damage, unlike most filters. However, the battery should not be charged in freezing temperatures. Effectively, you should treat it like you would your cell phone. --Katie
I just ordered one of these. I cannot wait. I was curious the Molecular names of whats created after applying the electricity. is it the same as chlorine dioxide tabs we used when I was younger?
I have the global, and my understanding is that the prime produces double the concentration of chlorine that the global does and is intended for unfiltered stagnant type water. The global is intended to treat pre-filtered water that's less at risk of contaminants. I did a good bit of research on the two models and that's what I took from it at least. At the time I bought mine the prime was unavailable and the global was all I could get. But with the global you just treat the water twice to reach the strength of the prime.
Hi Daniel, we do not have a precise answer for the battery’s shelf life. I know that I have had my own devices for somewhere around 8 years, and I still have no problem charging them. Aqua Research did a 3-year study, storing the devices unused in a dark location, after which the batteries were still viable. Like with other lithium-ion batteries, you can expect to charge the device about 500 times before battery capacity starts dropping off. Best practices including ensuring that the battery has a charge (between 40% to 60%) during storage to prevent over-discharge, although I have not been very diligent about this myself and have not noticed any impact. Thanks! --Katie
Crazy how these are not mainstream yet. This product replaces so many products and is SUPER affordable for what it is.

This is a great combination to speed up the treatment process, using two very affordable technologies! - Katie

I am awaiting for my shipment. I have been using the Roving Blue O-Pen for few years now. It never failed me. I will try this one when it arrives.

Can you replace the battery?
No.
will this work with seawater? like from the pacific?
No. Thier website says no seawater
What is the difference between the prime and global models?

How long can your store this device in your preps without using it before the battery is , or can we change out the battery
