"There's Beauty in Simplicity". Your 4 words capture much of what makes The Warning great! Dany, Pau, Ale won't do anything that doesn't serve a song. DPA don't try to prove how great they are; their music speaks for them. Many critics said Dany, an Alto with insane range (C♯3-G6), didn't have the purpose/ability to hit her highest falsetto notes; if she somehow did, there'd be no power. Dany sang HYCAD, belts into high Mezzo range with a series of F5's AND pulls from her chest-voice to create richness/power, and silenced them. Dany's vocals awe as Ale plays Bass-line, Melody, throws in Bass solos, and epic slides up/down the fretboard. Ale, using a pick for more bite, hits the strings with such force she adds intense/massive percussion to notes; she makes playing melody and rhythm simultaneously seem easy yet it's done via intensely difficult extensions/ progressions with her left hand/fingers. Ale gives The Warning much of it's unique sound. It's incredibly rare for a Rock Band to structure their songs around the Bass, but they don't have Ale, a world-class Jazz bassist. Ale is the reason so many songs by The Warning are Bass-driven. (I could write about how Amazing Pau is here too, as both a drummer and a vocalist, but I'd need at least another paragraph, or 2, or 3; more likely a book. These 3 sisters are amazing alone; together they're unparalleled). Thanks for the excellent reaction!

They reworked Enter Sandman, and played it in this concert. Worth a listen to compare it to their version from 11 yers ago

The song is about life on the road, living your dream, but being weary of it. Many successful people have said you should choose a career that you like, because it will at times be challenging, boring, stressful, depressing, and yet draw you back for more, every time. At 69, I appreciate the wisdom of this! Do what you love, because sooner or later, you will need to endure hating it. Don't worry about reacting to any of the other 22 songs at this concert. They will not be blocked! Now, if you react to the Pol'and'Rock concert by the Warning, most of that WILL be blocked.

I haven't heard a song from them yet that I did not like, whether a cover or an original. I am constantly in awe of their talent, their grounded perspective, and their maturity. Please continue reviewing their music.

You wonder if there's a video of Dany, Pau, and Ale watching their music from when they were young (Ale a child). Yes. There's a video (English subs) of them watching their original "Enter Sandman" video. It's funny. Pau holds a laptop, Dany and Ale at her sides. The 3 of them watch in silence and then Pau says in a soft, stunned voice: "Our timing is Terrible"; Dany and Ale crack up. Pau responds; it's okay, we were just "Little Girls" (English incorrectly says children). At one point Ale hears how they originally sang the words, and sings them the same way, specifically: "It's Just Ah Beat Undah Dah Bad" (their English needed work). Dany falls over laughing. They've come a long long way. Dany, Pau, and Ale are, IMHO, the best Rock Band in over 20 years.

One of the first very TW songs I heard. I was hooked, and every time Pau fires off that 20,000 Watt smile their love of what they are doing shines through.

The vocals on the last part of this song are insane! At first I thought they were using a backing track but if you watch closely, Pau and Ale fill in parts of the chorus while Danny goes over the top. Not easy to do at all!

As you say they very much have their own sound but you can hear a lot of influences from everything from old hard rock, nu metal, k-pop, and all manner of very different places. It's clear that they love all kinds of music and use it as spices to add to their own lovely soup. It never feels like a copy

I'm one year from 50 and in that time never has a band blown me away as much as The Warning has. Not Metallica, not Slayer, not AC/DC, no one. For over 30 years Iron Maiden was my all time favorite band, until mediocrity, and Bruce Dickpants deciding to tear up a concert goers sign that said "Play the Classics." So I happily gave the crown to Ale, Dany and Pau for that top spot in my music life. The thing is that there is no BS drama with these ladies. No alcoholic binge events, not shackin up with every guy out there, not getting into car wrecks and killing their best friend, nothing.
Sure I bet there is drama, but they work it all out and love each other. It really shows on the stage, their old videos in the "Cave", and everywhere they go how close they all are. By the way F*** Gene Simmons and Dave Ellefson for saying rock is dead. Those dudes are irrelevant in music and their time has come and gone. The Warning are what we have needed for 40 some years now. A member of The Warning Army said that Monterrey is the new Liverpool. Damn straight. We have our Beatles with this gifted ladies and it's epic!!!
One last note. Ale is my 3rd most influential bass guitarist for me as I started in 1989 on my bass playing journey. She shares that spot with two others, Cliff Burton and Steve Harris. ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘💛💛💓💙

This song is about life on tour and being the glamor we think it is living the dream, like Highway to Hell, and Turn the Page.
They have done 3 or 4 self-reactions to early videos. One was their original Enter Sandman cover from 2014.

All of the videos on The Warning YT channel have not been registered on "ContentID". The band and their label did this on purpose. This way people can share and react (promote) to their videos without having to worry about copyright or YT not allowing uploading of reactions. With this band the only ones that are a problem are performance produced by third parties; like Wacken TV, Pol'and Rock, VEVO and MTV EMA's show. (US MTV VMA's seem to be ok). Basically if it's on The Warnings UA-cam channel you do not have to worry about any copyright issues, especially their own in-house live productions and music videos.

Something interesting about The Warning that I’ve noticed. Normally at most points in a song, two of the three are driving the song itself Seems like this song it’s the bass and the vocals. Meanwhile, Pau is absolutely killing the drums so it almost feels like the drums are featured. Their songwriting is stellar. 🤟🏼🎸🥁🎸🤟🏼

Fingers crossed for Pau in the Modern Drummers Readers poll in the Rock category.

They were never a Metallica cover band. They did cover Enter Sandman as kids, and it went viral, and they also covered others like Muse and Foo Fighters, but they've done 4 albums and an EP since then of their own work. Having said that, their recent cover of You Oughta Know is great.

Maybe before you get to the Pepsi Center version of "Enter Sandman", check out the studio version they did for Metallica's "Blacklist" album and associated OMV. That was a collaboration with Canadian pop artist Alessia Cara.
Then do the live version from the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert. It's largely the "Blacklist" arrangement adapted to do live without Alessia's presence.
Finally the 2023 Pepsi Center version is essentially the same live arrangement but with an awesome addition.
Alessia's backing vocals are used live performances, and Dany gives credit to Alessia. You have to watch from the full concert videos to catch that though. It's not included in the individual releases.
Anyway, I think you'll appreciate the evolution of their versions.

There are a lot of really good rock bands out there but the mainstream ignores most of them. The Warning give us hope that the mainstream will take notice of other bands. They are special, it's their music, their personalities, their stage presences and of course they are attractive which helps.
I listen to a lot of Blues Rock these days because it's the closest thing to the rock I grew up with in the 70s, along with The Warning of course and bands like Rival Sons, Dirty Honey and The Answer. Otherwise, it's Blues Rock for me as while I don't mind Heavy Metal, I am really a Hard Rock fan. Back in the day I did see and follow Judas Priest and Iron Maiden live and of course Black Sabbath as the early pioneers of Heavy Metal or what would become Heavy Metal.
