"Tornado of Souls" was originally released on Megadeth's fourth studio album "Rust in Peace". It was their third album distributed through Capitol Records, and their only collaboration with record producer Mike Clink who was the first producer to successfully produce a Megadeth album from start to finish, without being fired. It was the first album to feature guitarist Marty Friedman and drummer Nick Menza, following the firing of both Jeff Young and Chuck Behler in 1989.
There are nine tracks on the album, with lyrics inspired by subjects ranging from nuclear fallout, war, religion, Area 51, and fantasy. Two singles were released from the album: "Hangar 18" and "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due", which have become staples of the band's live performances."Rust in Peace" was very well received by both critics and fans and was responsible for bringing Megadeth to the attention of a mainstream metal audience, and it is considered one of the most influential heavy metal albums of all time. The album was nominated for Best Metal Performance at the 33rd Grammy Awards, and "Hangar 18" was nominated for the same award at the 34th Grammy Awards. Allmusic described the record as "easily Megadeth's strongest musical effort", and it was noted as one of 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. It is also the first Megadeth album without an ellipsis in the title.

they are surely modified because it's from the DVD.. not stright of the camera, but that's not the point. Dave is basically dying in pain each time he gets on stage by that point and was killing it still...

This was during the window after he learned proper technique to not sound super annoying like he did on the recording but before his voice started to deteriorate.
maybe, he's the only guitarist-vocalist who can sing along with those uneasy riff, or maybe he's the best guitarist-vocalist

This is AMAZING!!! Gotta give Dave and the guys credit...30 yrs, survived through drugs, glam, grunge, conflicts, lawsuits, and they've kept the hair, the chops, are pushing 50, and are still playing great. All the Megadeth lineups are great, but this one is my favourite, they just have a great chemistry. Chris is an unreal guitarist. Here's to another 30 yrs!

Chris Broderick playing this solo like its a piece of cake. That's exactly what I like at him. He makes one of the hardest solos ever look so easy. I gotta admit this is my favourite line-up since Rust In Peace

Through..the first line up change.
Then the second, then the unbelievable and turd filled 90's.

Dave is hitting the notes, but he is really trying his hardest. At times it sounds less than great but the majority of the time he sounds fantastic.
And i think they detuned to D to ease him a little bit. But you know, he reach them and he's not singing like a little bitch like james hetfield.

+rockstar at first i didn't hear, but when i went back and listened to it again, i could hear all the sloppiness. I wish megadeth would take a break, because they seem to be so drained on stage nowadays.

Man. Dave Mustain voice sounds better here than when he was singing this song in the 90s. It sounds much smoother and like hes not struggling as much. I mean it seems no quiet as high as well a bit deeper like before he sounded like beyond geddy lee screeching cat sounds. but here man he really found his range
this concert was overdubbed in the CD and DVD versions, if you watch the fans recording from this same show, you can hear him struggling to sing, and in some parts he sounds like dying Micky Mouse.

Broderick was overqualified for this solo, at the same time I don't believe his style matches what this solo is trying to do, so while you notice the technical ability and great sound, something feels missing. Still one of the better guitarists Megadeth ever brought on.

I also get tired of hearing how creative Marty was playing the solos Dave wrote he joined the band when Rust in piece was finished.
